Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.
Within a few days of them taking the challenges down this time last month, I said, screw it, I'm getting an Apple Watch haven't used a Fitbit since then with the sole exception being the Smart Scale that you can get from them, but even that I'm not holding onto for much longer and will be soon getting a different Smart Scale to use.
A Smart Scale is a scale that when you step on it to weigh yourself it automatically syncs to the app that goes with it to track any weight loss you might be attempting to lose. Fitbit's Smart Scale is the Aria.
Fitbit announced it when they shared their plans of removing the challenges. I just had a look at another community page I was part of and it said ‘access denied- Sorry, you don't have permission to access this page’
The previous petition being circulated was to "save" challenges - which is redundant now that they have been scrapped. Please see attached a petition that I have started calling for FB to bring challenges back: https://chng.it/KHFPBKjrF9
I just started getting fit, the bingo allowed me to compete more ‘fairly’ against a fitness instructor. It motivated me. Now what? I can’t get my rythym. I can’t get them to join another platform. It’s dropped me down.
Can’t believe it’s been over a month and they haven’t given us anything else. It was worst decision ever to scrap all that was motivating as well as fun!
They said they were “working hard” on new features. I haven’t seen any new features. So we are left with a product and app that has a lot less features than before. Bad decision
So truly disappointed. I specifically asked for a Fitbit for Christmas so I could participate in my office's Workweek Hussle. Now I just have a piece of junk that I never look at cause what's the point of wearing it if it doesn't do what I got it for?
The smart thing they should have done, was to have whatever this "new google technology" is, to have it ready to be implemented BEFORE taking anything away... I am both surprised, and not surprised, that they took something away without giving something back. I guess Fitbit executives just aren't smart. That kind of scares me.
