Edit Time of Daily Reset of Stats / Add Nightshift

Hi, It would be great if users could change the daily reset of stats to a different hour. We night owls who go sleep late after midnight now have to calculate the differences in our heads and that's not ideal. Thanks!

I'm a night shift nurse who spends days off on a day schedule. My sleep and wake hours are constantly changing. I would really like it if I could manually "start my day" and "go to sleep".

Apparently fit bit IS paying attention. I was redirected to here from their fb page where I had complained about being a night shifter and they replied to come here.

That is funny, I think.  Have a nice night.

I work 12 hour shifts, 2 week days and 2 week nights, I need my tracker to be able to recognize that and be able to switch over from nights to days and back again, thanks 😊

I'm an RN and work night shift as well. Having a night shift setting would be such a great option. Mostly for the active hours (250 steps per hr) setting and the sleep setting. I've noticed your "how did you sleep" info doesn't show in the box on the dashboard. You have to go into the history to see your sleep. Maybe because it's not regular night time sleeping hours? Anyway, it would be nice to have a setting for those working graveyard.

Another night shift worker here. Midnight is noon for me. Would love to have my stats reset at noon and have the accurate time reflected on my Fitbit. There's 15 pages of this same request spanning several years. It clearly is a very common request!

I get discouraged, and I don't work all nights, I do 2 and 2 weeks , so I need a Fitbit that I can just type in night or day shift and it will automatically switch over, I need the MyFitnessPal to work the same way

I too work nights from 8pm to 8am so would like to have my active hours set from 6pm to 8am, it's very annoying to not be able to do so and surely is easy to fix for fitbit?

I work as a night shift nurse 7 pm until whatever time I do get off. I hate that everything resets at midnight. I wish there was a feature that would let me adjust my time so I can get accurate results.

Having read a lot of these comments I agree enirely with having a custom start of day point. My situation is I'm a cleaner and my day starts at 6am but I'll not finish some days until near midnight or past. So not only is my day being clipped by the maximum 14hours but can also have a reset in the middle too and my sleep can be almost anytime. Even the comment of changing time zone will not work for me. !

Like everyone else i work overnights so all my activity is thrown off.

I work nights and would like to see the ability to choose the reset time. It currently resets at midnight but since my days run usually from 3pm to 9am, a reset at midnight makes the numbers inaccurate each day and more difficult to track

I sent an email to one of the top 3 news channels asking for their investigation team to check into this matter.

Yes that's exactly what I'd like! I often go to bed late, when I wake up I have all these stats that are logged into the next day..

So many people work different shifts & being able to customize to our hours just seems like a no brainer!!!

I'm currently in the military so my time zone changes often as well as the shift I work.  I would love to be able to track my steps and progress but with the new day starting at midnight that leaves half of my day empty.

Can you please change the reset time for the people who work night shift I don't go to bed til 745am I wake up at 6pm so it really messes up the daily numbers,  thank you.

This is seriously some BS! I spent over $200 on my fitbit and they can't even add a feature that allows the user to change what time the steps get reset at. So many people, including myself, are working or are up way later than midnight. This is seriously an outrage! It's a simple feature to add that will save the business and make millions of fitbit users more satisfied.

Please listen to our complaints and do something about it! I'm getting sick of this issue. And no, I'm not going to change my time zone because I use my fitbit as a watch as well, and I don't want the time display to be different.

Spend the money to add the feature, for Christt's sake! So sick of the neglegence from this company.

If my Fitbit knows when I am sleeping, it should reset stats after I've had a long period of rest. That way, all us users who don't go to bed at the same time as our grandparents won't have our stats all reset before we go to bed for the night. It would make much more sense for the steps to count from waking to sleep instead of midnight to midnight.

I couldn't agree more , the main 24hr timer is already in place. Why it can't be used to multiple types of data I don't know, pretty sure it can't be that hard.

People complaining since 2013, over 700 votes and 15 pages of complains. How many more do you need to even consider this feature for approval ? Cat Sad I don't mean to be rude but this is going on for so long... I don't think you're putting any effort whatsoever to find a solution for this issue. I don't know anything about programming or whatever this is but compared to some advanced feature that you already provide, this really doesn't seem that hard.

Very very disappointing Cat Sad

Well it might be somethong that is not feasible yet, or maybe the developers are still considering the best way to implement it.

Or it might be that only 700 votes in three years has not been enough to get there attention yet, considering some suggestions get 1000 votes within one or two months.

Personally it doesnt bother me, 24 hours are still 24 hours no matter when i work. My work hours always crosses midnight. A  couple weeks ago it was 21K from 3pm to midnightand another 18 before 8am when i got off.  You see for me, i want my days count to be the real day, but that might be just me.

That is so true, I know nothing about electronics, but that should be easy for those programmers, hey, do you think they even reads these comments? They don't respond lol

I even find it bad for my sleep patterns, 2 weeks outta 4, I go to sleep at 9am for a few hours, then nap again in the evening, and I have my Fitbit paired with MyFitnessPal , I get messages saying I didn't log breakfast and lunch, then before midnight my meals are done for the day. But I'm only just starting lol
