Evening Snack Food log designation

As of today "Anytime" was removed as a food log time designation. It appears I wasn't alone using it to record my evening snack items. Its removal means that my food log for dinner is now inaccurate. 5 time desginations aren't enough for a diabetic (3 meals, 3 snacks) and for most people watching their nutrition, evening snacking is a dangerous habit.

Please bring back Anytime/Evening Snack.  I'm mystified as to why you removed it.  Can't you see the use data?  Very odd.

Bring it back! I've been using the "Anytime" designation for 3 years now. "Evening Snack" is OK too, but as so many others have stated, it's where night time snacks  (like chocolate!) go. Why would you think we only have morning and afternoon snacks?

The option was reinstated, but then removed AGAIN? What the heck! This is really annoying!

There is a workaround, at least for Android, I don't know about IOS. If you use the Android app to log at least one item as "anytime" - yes, the option is available there - you will then have the Anytime category on the Dashboard via the web. You can then log food to other times of the day and drag them to Anytime. This is a pain in the hiney, but at the end of the day your stats will at least be correct.

I agree with everyone about this issue. Let us have either evening snack or anytime...PLEASE!

Taking "anytime" away makes no sense.  I eat a bunch at night after dinner.  I want it back. There is absolutely no reason to have taken it away.  At least y'all should've asked your users.

Please bring the "Anytime" option back in the food log. It doesn't even have to be called anytime, dessert, evening snack, I don't really care what you call it as long as the option comes back. Other than that I think that the new updates are great and the app has been working perfect for me. Thanks!

Yes, please add Evening Snack or bring back Anytime, otherwise the Dinner log gets crowded.

I think you they should bring back the Anytime food regardless of adding an Evening Snack for those unexpected items that aren't really a "snack".

I would love to have BOTH an "evening snack" and an "anytime" option, as others have already mentioned. I don't understand why "anytime" was removed in the first place. This is so frustrating.

am happy to see the Anytime food option back to log!  Yes, in a perfect world there could be an evening snack option and a supplements option ---- but I'll take any baby steps offered.  Thx for listening to us, Fitbit Big Brains!!

Thanks for fixing the "anytime" option.  Hopefully this will give a clue about future updates, i.e  ADD features, don't subtract. : )

With the Anytime option being reinstated, my blood pressure went back down to normal.  I'll be sticking with Fitbit.

I love some of the changes to the cell phone app but am really frustrated with the removal of ANYTIME which I know is under review. I have diabetes and any healthy eating plan now includes frequent small meals and the bedtime/anytime snack is not only a difficult time for many dieters but an improtant one for those of us with a medical conditon. I now have to do a lot of work to dissect my meal content and values to see what was really just dinner as I am adding the late snack to dinner now. )-; Also I read on one of these comments something about being so calorie focused. This IS WORKING for me but there is significant weight to the argument that most weight loss and Diabetic Diets are now based on Carb counting and it would be great to have this added as a highlight the way Cals in and out are. In addition, I am glad you enhanced the database, but I have spent hours adding my own foods and I am so unhappy that you have removed the Favorites from my cell phone food logging because I now have to search for an item that was not something recent but was previously starred as a favorite of mine! If it is something common like BBQ Sauce, for example, I have to hunt thru a huge list to try and find my own and sometimes I cannot find it without going to my computer list. Isn't there some way you can still allow people to have their own favorites on the app? This seems like a STEP BACK. I really LIKE the ability to log a bunch of things for a meal and that it gives Related To as options which helps speed up the logging a lot, but I still sometimes want my favorites and it doesn't always find them.  PLEASE CORRECT this. I LOVE the new changes just don't like them at the expense of things I USED a lot!!! Thank you!

I was happy to see the "Anytime" meal choice was back when I login on my computer. I just tried to log something on my mobile app and the "Anytime" choice is missing. Has anyone else notice this?

I think that having an evening snack is a wonderful idea.  I often lose track of those calories eaten at night...

I was very disappointed to find only 5 meal categories with the new changes on the Fitbit app. I must eat 6 times per day.  Please reinstate the "Anytime" snack ... or you can call it anything else you want. I just need a place to log my meals accurately.  Thank you so kindly for addressing this issue.

i noticed above comments saying the Anytime category has been reinstated but it's not showing on my apps -- not on my iPhone nor my ipad.  Is there a way I can get this fixed?  Thank you.

Yes, Evening Snack is a great idea.  Otherwise it looks like I am eating enormous dinners.

We've brought back the "Anytime" option, and also added "After Dinner".

You should now have all the options you need to organize your food logging in the way you prefer!
