Fitbit CLI for SDK for Fitbit OS apps (Command-Line Tools)

A command-line tool that will allow developers to compile their applications and install them locally to their Fitbit Ionic. This would be as an alternative to the cloud-based Fitbit Studio. Preferably with an emulator but I'm sure we'll take what we can get! A "spiritual successor" to the Pebble Command Line Tool. I'd imagine the MVP list commands would look like:

  • new-project
  • install
  • build
  • logs

Update: I want to draw attention to the Emulator Feature Suggestion, you should vote for that too.

Fred - the CLI is great, good job!

Question: Is there a way to avoid the "interactiveness" when using "npx fitbit" when one is ready to load the app to the sim or the device itself?

i.e. "$ npx fitbit install ionic" instead of going into a conversation with the "fitbit$" prompt.

I am looking for a way for a no-touch way to deploy to sim and device using CI.

Thanks,

Itamar

The new CLI is exactly what we were looking for.  Thanks!  I'm having trouble getting it configured on one of my development PCs but I'm going to post that in a separate question.

Thanks again for implementing this!
