Please activate fitbit pay in Belgium. I already pay wirelessly for years using the Bancontact app on my smartphone for years and was surprised fitbit pay does not work yet in our country. I already tried adding my debet card but it does not work, yet.

Hello bank / BNP Paribas here, bring it on! Specifically upgraded to charge 3 for this function so quite disappointing that it's not supported yet.

Since today it's activated for KBC Belgium but not for Belfius...

Anybody tried to add his KBC Maestro debit wireless enabled card so far? My fitbit app asks for the security code, where do I find this on the KBC card?

This is really great news! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be 100% live yet. I tried adding 2 separate KBC Maestro debit cards. In both cases, the Fitbit app actually displays KBC's terms & conditions. After accepting those however, an error dialog pops up saying: "Card was declined, please contact your issuer."

I figured perhaps this happens because Fitbit tries to put a charge reservation originating from the US on the card. Considering KBC's Maestro cards are locked to Europe by default, I temporarily unlocked my card for worldwide use through KBC's mobile app. Unfortunately the error persists. I assume this is a temporary issue that'll be fixed soon.

@henkdenbaes You can leave the CVC field empty for Maestro cards when adding it in the Fitbit app.

(FYI: the CVC of most Belgian Maestro cards appears to be 999 or 000. Maybe that knowledge will come in handy someday, who knows. Smiley Happy)

My KBC MasterCard still throws up the old "Card not supported" dialog, so I suppose only Maestro will be supported for now.

Contacted KBC, the reason why it doesn not work is due to the fact the Windows Mobile 10 app is not supported! I tried adding the KBC card via the iPad app with succes. The difference between the 2 apps is that after the 4 groups of 4 numbers there is the last number that you cannot enter with the WM 10 app, but the iPad allows you to enter 4x4+1 digits. The iPad app also clearly states that the security code is optional. @SunsetRunner Once you accepted the terms and conditions you get from KBC a OTP code that you must enter to activate the virtual card. For that they need to have your mobile phone number registered (seems to be part of their secure registration process).

The only strange thing is that once I synch my fitbit with the app on my WM10, the wallet is emptied... so I synched back with the iPAd to see if they come back, and indeed they do so... to be honest not sure if this is what I want, as I have the fitbit app also on my Windows tablet, my tablet also syncs from time to time with my fitbit so this will also clear my wallet on the fitbit. Fitbit specifically allows (and recommended it when there was an issue with a new app version on the WM10 platform) to synch with another device. This seems to be limiting the wallet functionality!

@henkdenbaes Huh, sounds annoying. I specifically remember that support for card numbers with over 16 digits was added to the iOS app around the time Fitbit Pay was introduced in the Netherlands – I think that was the first integration they did with Maestro cards. I assume the Windows Phone app hasn't been updated yet accordingly. Perhaps that's in the pipeline though?

On my end, I never actually get to the verification step with the OTP code. KBC does have my mobile number on file, so I think there might simply be a problem with my cards. I'm in touch with them to sort it out, fingers crossed!

I already tried contacting belfius multiple times, but I am getting no response from them.  They have done a really outstanding job on their mobile app so fingers crossed that they choose to implement fitbit pay and do that asap… 🤞
