I also support Banca Transilvania! It is widely used by youth, businesses and already supports wireless/contact payment on their apps and cards! Ro it, FitBit!

It would be very nice for supporting the pay app in Romania... This method on those days is very helpfully.

For the moment ING and BT is the top pick for wireless payment.

What about REVOLUT card? 🙂

I think it's easier for FITBIT and REVOLUT to reach quickly to an agreement!

I'm fan of IOS and none of the above banks doesen't offer support for paying with Iphone 😞

Fitbit Pay would let you pay without taking your card out no matter if you are using Android or iOS.

Whatever bank Fitbit would hypothetically reach an agreement with wouldn't have any connection with current agreements between Romanian banks and Samsung Wallet/GooglePay/Apple Pay/etc.

FitBit already has a lot of users/buyers among Romanians. Turn them into your devoted clients for life by bringing fitbit pay support to a major player in the bank industry. Big Up for ING Bank.

This is issue is not only related to Fitbit Pay in Romania, because Fitbit Pay has very small coverage in all Europe, in general. In my opinion, Fitbit should make a deal with a bank that has coverage in all the European countries, otherwise is going to take years in order to have full coverage in Europe. You should choose Unicredit Bank, ING Bank or City Bank or another international Bank.

BT and Orange Money already announced that they reach to an agreement with Garmin in Romania, so you are loosing ground!

Can we at least get an official statement from fitbit?

This feature ( or the lack thereof ) plays an important role in my decision to by the new charge or not.

What o_o

Over in the list of supported banks there is no Banca Transilvania.

How did you manage to set it up? Can you give us a play by play?

Would it work only on iOS or Android, would it work for Charge 3 or Ionic or or ING banking. If anyone can try any of these things please get back to us 😁

Guys, in Romania we have only one solution to make it works! This is with boon my wirecard through UK!

To complete it you have to follow the next steps:

1) create an account to Boon my wirecard in UK;

2) attach to this acount the debit card;

3) enroll it to fitbit pay;

4) start using it 😀

What about the exchange rates between Euro-Lei and inter-country SEPA transaction fees?

Starwars_77

The exchange rates are almost similar with BNR rates (EUR - RON or GBP - RON)

The only fees that you have to pay are:

 - 1.49 GBP/month (after the 3 months trial/free)

 - 1.25% of the respective turnover (because we are using outside UK).

  - for the BASIC account on BOON it is a limit at 200GBP/month (TOP UP and transactions)

Pe scurt: eu am garmin si sotia are fitbit versa.

Please check this report: https://start-up.ro/revolut-romania-si-a-atins-tinta-pentru-2018-100-000-de-utilizatori/. You should add at least Revolut. You have a strange model bussiness if you don't see the benefits in this proposal.
