Flip screens for left-handed people Fitbit Sense/Versa Smartwatches

In order for the button to be on the correct side for left-handed people wearing the device on their right hands, allow for the screen to be flipped when the setting for the hand is on left-handed.

Just upvoted this. I got my Sense a few days ago and I couldn't believe there's no way to switch it to Right-Handed mode like the ancient Charge 2 that I replaced. I'm constantly wrestling with this thing bringing up the long press shortcut because of the button contacting with my wrist or top of my hand.

Also: while we're at it, let us change the screen timeout time too. Currently we can only change the brightness or if the always-on screen mode is enabled or not.

I am in 100% agreeance with everyone.

I'm a lefty, just bought my first smart watch and it was a versa 3. I honestly didn't even consider this would be an issue before hand since I figured we've come farther than not being able to rotate a screen.....honestly very disappointed.

It's such a small thing that makes such a huge difference. Pretty inconsiderate of the developing team to disregard this feature in their newer model when it was available in previous ones. I'm looking to return my Fitbit now and I'm honestly beyond disappointed and sad about this even being an issue.

I should also mention that I am right-handed and am only using it on my right wrist due to an injury of my left wrist. Until I get through weeks (or months?) of PT to get it back in working order, I'll need to use my fitbit on the right wrist.

Hi, even though it's not a total solution it may help to use the clock face proposed earlier.

I don't know how this hasn't been implemented on all but the cheapest devices. The Versa series seems like the closest Fitbit to a normal smartwatch and it still can't just rotate the display.

TOTALLY AGREE, as a lefty I wear my new Versa 3 on my right wrist.  I have the wrist setting set to non-dominant, but every time I bend my hand back at the wrist, my hand activates the button on the side, which if I could flip the screen, I could have the button on the other side and my versa 3 would stop powering down....... Thanks!  great suggestion

I wear my Fitbit on the right wrist and since the button on most Fitbits is on the left side, whenever I bend my wrist, the button registers it as a touch. A flip screen function would mean that you could wear your Fitbit on your right wrist with the button facing the right side as well.

Hi @Kanaenae, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to use a flip screen option for left-handed people on Fitbit Sense. I've moved it into a similar request. I think that a lot of users would like to have this option on their Fitbit devices. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

Need this on the Versa 3. Every time I bend my wrist at the gym I inadvertently pause my workout with the back of my hand.

I went from the Versa 2 to the Sense and hate it solely because of this. Let me flip the screen!

I work in a warehouse and I'm always using my hands and arms. The button is constantly getting pressed throughout the day and it's extremely aggravating. Wish I would have known about this beforehand. Would have never bought it and would have stuck with my versa. This has got to be a simple fix you would think. Might just end up selling this thing if this problem isn't resolved.

I would love this feature to implanted. I frequently accidentally depress the button on the left and my watch activates google voice. This is a major inconvenience.

Left-handed here as well having the same with the button being pressed

I came across this thread in hopes of finding support to invert/flip the screen for myself as I am a left-handed user. No success, as the last post looking for support was posted less than 24-hours ago... I reached out to Fitbit for support on this issue, and they referred to thread. Come on. We have no option for this??? Returning the product. Disappointed.

There should be a watch rotate but did you try SimpleClockPro-L it might partially help for Sense and Versa 3 watches.

not a bad face, but the always on is then upside down as is all the buttons, this should be a function by fitbit that flips all the screens, not just the clock.

SimpleClockPro-L isn't bad, but only the clock face is flipped, all the buttons and the always on feature is then upside down - this should come from fit bit to address all screens being flipped

@BMan17  -  agreed it should be a Fitbit function, but it may help if you turn on wrist wake and turn off Always On, that way you save battery and can wear it the other way round without actioning the button when you need to, pending Fitbit releasing a watch solution.

Yojana, it has been about 2 years since the issue was raised. Does fitbit think it is appropriate to disregard left handed people's issues? I really wanted fitbit versa 3 for Christmas, I was disappointed with card adding to the wallet and now with a scratched screen since I need to keep a watch on my dominant hand. Good first impressions 🙂

Need to be able to flip the watch for lefthanders as frequently press the button and end up in wrong features or starting apps!

Hi! I use my left hand predominately but I’m somewhat ambidextrous… I have for over a year now used my versa 3 in my left wrist… last week I ended up with a chemical burn on my wrist under the watch band. So to prevent irritation I mover my watch to my right wrist… just to find I constantly pushed the button unintentionally… to my surprise there is no feature to flip the watch around to be read from the opposite wrist… I get on the forum and find this has been an issue for several years with a note that it needs more traction to develop…

Fitbit… when will you step up the game… you were once the leaders in fitness trackers…

No new features… constant Sync problems. Nothing but another excuse… I’ve used a tracker for 4 years now. I doubt I’ll select Fitbit for my next one.

Completely lost confidence in the brand!

It's quite frustrating that a simple rotation of the screen isn't possible. Clearly it sucks to be a leftie!

I would also love to see this feature happen. I bought the Fitbit to replace my Apple Watch but this not being a thing yet is slightly irritating. The Apple Watch does this and does it well. With the screen NOT flipping, it keeps the button on the side closest to my wrist. When I am drumming, working out or just simply bending my wrist back, I am activating the button unintentionally. Changing the orientation of the screen would place the button on the other side which would avoid all inconveniences. Would LOVE to see this feature. .

It seem like Fitbit doesn’t care about left handed people. A google search shows that left handed people have requested the feature to flip the screen since 2017 but nothing has change.

It is disappointing not to be able to use the device when working out  because my wrist keeps pressing the button. I would say that the Apple Watch has a leg up when it comes to user experience for left handed people.
