Has there been an update on this? I bought the fitbit sense for the purpose of using the tap and go feature, however I'm with ING and it is not supported! Very disappointing
After looking at the banks that support Fitbit throughout the world , none of them use Visa . I imagine that this is the issue with why they haven't added ING to their stable.
ING bank is very popular amongst younger bankers, the sort of customers that also would choose to wear a Fitbit watch over something analogue. I don't understand why some of the best features on my Fitbit sense are either laggy to the point of being useless or turned off like in the instance of Google assistance or access to Fitbit pay through ING bank
So there have been consistently people requesting this from 2018 through to the end of 2020... Any chance of it actually happening? It would be so incredibly handy to have the ability to actually use one of the features I bought this watch for... It works through Google Wallet, and as you're owned by Google these days, surely it should be a relatively simple thing to implement?
Please correct me if I'm wrong though. My girlfriend also banks with ING and is looking to purchase a new smart watch. She has a lower-end FitBit so was looking to move to the Versa, but of-course they don't support ING. As for alternatives, she doesn't like Apple or Samsung. Not really sure what to do.
I'd be doing it via Google Pay (Android) which Garmin uses I believe. I think the best bet would be finding a device which supports your phone's native payment method (Apple Pay or Google Pay). In theory it should work, but might need to do some more research to confirm before making a purchase this time around.
I would 100% like to see this. A huge amount of Australians bank (at least one account) with ING. Frankly I’m surprised it’s not already on Fitbit. It was one of the reasons I got the charge 4. I really should have checked first.
