Increase Font Size for Charge 3

I have just received my Charge 3, my first Fitbit. I had held off on the Charge 2 to wait for the 3’s larger display. At 47 I need glasses to read small text and would like to be able to increase the font size on notifications and other features.

Very disappointed, font size way too small & no accessibility settings.  NOT GOOD FITBIT.  When will this be addressed?

What do you mean by accessibility settings? I agree they have to use a larger font. Actually I would like to see a CLOCKFACE that shows only # of steps, or calories burned ect.

I totally agree! Already had given my Charge 2 to a friend and almost regretted it. But really like the new Charge 3 features.   I swiped to go to last page, and then tapped on Settings.  When I chose Normal, the light went from Dim to being brighter. Makes it just bright enough to better read. Next year will have to jog with reading glasses, tho.... There’s also an Auto option, but not sure what that does, or if it’s bright enough.

Morning, most devises have accessability setting for people who need additional settings to use the devise, like if you have a eyesight condition that requires may be a zoom on the text as well as a larger font.

A zooming with the thump and index finger would be great. After all the screen is touch-oriented!

I used my new Fitbit charge 3. For the clock face I chose the one with steps on top, time in middle and date on bottom. I, like a lot of seniors, use my Fitbit to make sure I get adequate movement in my day. It is extremely difficult for me to see small print while walking. The number of steps displayed and heart rate is much to small for old eyes. There is plenty of room to make the steps display larger. Please help with this.  Font size should be increased where possible.

I don't carry reading glasses when I'm exercising. Hoping for a quick fix to the Charge 3 readability by Fitbit because I can't read it. I would like one stat a screen, using the whole screen.

I would like the stats screen size increased, it's very small compared to the Fitbit Charge 2's stats screen where each stat takes up the whole screen.

Hi @derekmski101, thank you for taking the time to share your idea with us. I found this feature suggestion which is very similar to your idea, so I’ve moved your post here. Please give kudos by clicking on the thumbs up button.

Since I received the charge 3 as a gift and the font size is too small, can I exchange it?

Wait for a firmware update which addresses the font size issue imo.

Two thumbs up for larger font, as well as brightness equal to clock. I like to be able to see my heart rate....as I'm running. Hard to see/read when the font is so much smaller and not as bright as the clock. Increase in font size a bit on the face, and/or increase timeout overall or specifically the last screen viewed. While running I'd prefer to keep my HR screen viewable via a flick of the wrist, but the screen defaults to the clock screen and it's a challenge and distracting to have to use another hand to scroll to the desired screen.

When I called Fitbit, the rep I spoke with said there are no current plans to release firmware that changes this. She stressed to keep advocating for it on this forum. It just seems like a no brainer to me since the Charge 2 is more readable. Why wouldn’t they have made this part of the Charge 3 also??? Mine is going back.

Do what you think is right. When they do make the font larger, you can buy again!

that really isn't good enough Fitbit!!!! this is an absolute joke for this day and age where almost everything has accessible features.  to not be even addressing this, well that shows you how much Fitbit cares about its customers.  i believe they have lost me as a customer forever because of this

Reluctantly, I don’t feel like I have a choice. I really like the features of the Charge 3 so I will be sad to see it go but I don’t want to have to take readers on and off when I exercise! Haha! You are right-if they improve the readability then I will just buy it at that time.

I was thinking of returning the Charge 3 but like the waterproof feature and longer battery life.  I belong to a large hiking group and will tell them it’s not worth getting until they change the font size. What really irritates me is I researched the charge 3, the Versa, and the Apple Watch and the reviewers said for hiking the Charge 3 was the winner. I find that incomprehensible.

Just got my new Charge 3 and the font size is ridiculously small to the point of being useless! Please look at fixing this so we can actually read what's on the display. Thanks

My main reason for having the Fitbit is to monitor my steps and the font is too small without my reading glasses. Seems like an easy fix and needed for most users over 40.

Waste of time!  I got my Charge 3 over 2 months ago and posted about the font being too small to see, they haven't done anything about it.  If I could return the watch, I would.  For those of you who recently purchased your Charge 3 and are not happy with the small font, return it for a refund before it's too late and buy a different watch. It's obvious by now that the developers aren't doing anything about it.

When will Fitbit give us a proper update to when the font size will be addressed?

Yes I want to know when the font size will be larger!

If true, it’s too late for me, I returned mine. I’ve yet to hear or read a response from Fitbit.
