Increase Font Size for Charge 3

I have just received my Charge 3, my first Fitbit. I had held off on the Charge 2 to wait for the 3’s larger display. At 47 I need glasses to read small text and would like to be able to increase the font size on notifications and other features.

So frustrated with my new Fitbit charge 3 I got for Christmas.  I cannot read the step count without my glasses.  Love all the other features but they are worthless if you can't read them

Is it possible to amend the settings so that the charge 3 displays one larger icon at a time rather than the 2 at a time that I currently have? An increased icon size would be beneficial to those of us who need to wear reading glasses to see the small dual icons on screen.

if it's not possible currently, is there plans to roll this functionality out in future updates?

I agree about the dim display and small font size.  My husband bought a Fitbit 3 for me to track my runs. The display is so dim and font so small that I had to stop during my run - very annoying - to find a shady spot on the trail in order to read the display. Even in the shade, I could barely read it without squinting and I don't wear glasses. When I returned home, I checked to see whether I could adjust the dimness/font size, but it's not an option. Very disappointing product. The poor design is a deal breaker for me - I'm returning it.

Nope - not giving up too early. I used it several times and called FitBit for help; they said this is a common issue for many users (apparently it is, if you read all of the previous posts) and it cannot be fixed.  If I can't read the display, it's of no use to me.

Why in the world can’t the font size for steps be made larger. If the time is so big, you can see it 10 feet away, why can’t the steps font be made larger????? Stupid. Or create a clock that shows steps in a large font at least on the second screen.

I just "upgraded" from the Charge2 to Charge3. I understand it costs more but I did not realize that I required a visit to the optometrist too.

I agree with you. I would like to see a CLOCKFACE with the step font as big as the clock and vice Versa.

Like a lot of comments seen the displays and fonts are too small to read quickly and does not stay on long enough.  My wife does not want to have to wear reading glasses to use this.  Instead of showing two items on each display, make it one with much larger fonts

I received a Charge 3 for Christmas. I have used a Garmin Forerunner for the past 2 years and have enjoyed it. I was hoping the Fitbit might be better suited to my activities and I like the slimmer band. I see I'm not the only one struggling with the small font size. I'm disappointed that there are posts here from October and nothing has changed. Can this be changed with a software update?

I have spoken to Fitbit yet again (third time) the agent who I spoke with said they cannot change the size of the font. So where do we go from here, it seems all the complaints about the size of the font falls on deaf ears. Perhaps someone out there can suggest how to give Fitbit a massive wake and convince them that we are not going to go away.

My husband an I both got the 3 for Christmas. We are both struggling with the font size and the face options. Preferred the larger text on 2 and having the option for 4 stats, date, time, steps and heart rate on the face was ideal. May need to go back to the 2 until this is corrected.

I bought Charge3 for my dad. He is 70s now, so he can’t see the display. Can you please make the display bigger????

Small font on charge 3 is big problem particularly for seniors. Should be at least as large as charge 2. Best solution is to offer a range of screen displays. Why can,t data font be as large as clock. Will return charge 3 unless font is correct soon

I have voted on the string for allowing capability to change font size.   Echoing ALL of the other comments.   The features other than the clock face are nearly worthless if you can't read it.   I received for Christmas and if not fixed I intend to return and move to a different brand.

Fitbit are deaf and blind to any comments on the size of the font.
Wake up Fitbit you are losing an awful lot of customer who are returning their charge 3.

Hi, I received a Charge 3 for Christmas and love everything about it except for the small font.  Before Christmas, I had a Charge 2 for two years and had no problem reading the screen.  In reading the recent posts about Fitbit stating that the font can't change, I am confused.  Why was the font fine on my Charge 2, but can't be made of equivalent size on the Charge 3?

Well I probably won't return it, I definitely will not recommend it, and may post a warning in the comments on Amazon where I bought it.

Was anyone over the age of 45 involved in the screen design.  It's hard for me to understand how no one would see that this would be a problem.

Just purchased the charge 3. I agree with all the comments. I can’t see the HR without my glasses. Any news on when the update is coming? Otherwise I will return it.

If they can make the time large and have scrolling, why can’t they enlarge the steps? I would rather have large font for steps and small ones for time.  Fitbit moderators, can you please help us?????

Just put a feed back on there advert on Facebook warning folk about the size of the fonts on charge 3. Maybe this will bring it to the moderators notice as they are not taking any notice of the forums. Give it a go guys it may give them a wake up call.
