Inspire HR - add clip mode back

I'm a former Fitbit One user (and fan). I understand that a clip for the Inspire HR is "Currently Not Planned," but I would like an update to return the algorithm choice. I want the heart rate for when I'm working out, but I usually keep my fitbit in the little watch pocket on my jeans because I don't want to wear it on my wrist the rest of the time. You can call the choice 'pocket mode' or 'hip mode' or something other than clip mode to avoid confusion, since there's no clip for the HR, but the functionality exists, so let us use it...

I'm told the Inspire HR used to have Clip Mode but that it's no longer available. I know that the non-HR version of the Inspire DOES have Clip Mode, but the Inspire is lacking some of the features that the HR version has, other than just the heart rate portion. The Inspire doesn't have the exercise modes that are configurable from the tracker itself, nor does it have the real-time pace tracking and distance using GPS.

I bought the InspireHR for my mom because she's a big walker and she wants to know the accurate mileage for her walks that she takes, and she wants to be able to start and stop the activities from the tracker. The InspireHR caused her irritation on her wrist (as I'm seeing it also causes other people) so we thought the clip option would work well for her so we got her the Inspire, non-HR version. Come to find out that it's missing way more features than just the heart rate! What a waste!

It would be one thing if the Inspire and the InspireHR just differed by the heart rate-related functions, but there are more differences than that, so using the Inspire instead isn't a viable solution.

I've compared the Inspire that we got her and the InspireHR that I have myself and the difference in height seems very minimal, especially because the clip that Fitbit makes is a flexible rubbery material so it seems the same clip should be usable with both physical models. Can't Fitbit just update the software in the HR to have the clip mode again? It seems the more advanced, "Special Edition" tracker should be usable in different modes if its base model counterpart is.

I am trying to replace my Fitbit One that is over 4 years old and I want something that I can wear on my pocket or when I am not at work and working out I an wear on my wrist and get my Heart Rate info. The Inspire HR used to be perfect for this from what I read, but then an update was done taking away this option. Is there any way to bring this back? If so I will buy it right away.

I want to wear a tracker unobtrusively under clothing during the day; I don't need to monitor my heart rate at these times. My most important metrics are steps, stairs, and sleep quality. So basically the Inspire HR with an altimeter. Or the One with sleep stages. PLEASE!
