Planning to buy the Fitbit Surge and had found out that this doesn't work with Nike+ apps. The post been running for like 2 years and still nothing. I'm thinking to go with Garmin now 😞
Fitbit, please allow Nike+ to sync my data. I love my Fitbit product and also enjoy the Nike+ running app. Would love to see them integrate!! "Just do it" please!
So exactly how many votes, comments or threads does it take to make this happen? Is it contractual issues with Nike? What is the delay? Why does what seems a pretty simple trust relationship between two leading apps and platforms appear to be so hard despite loyal users crying out for it for years. An explanation please? Or better still - a likely implementation timeline?
Fitbit has made it so easy for third parties to access your data that they do not need to get permission from Fitbit. In fact Fitbit does not know all the apps that do sync with Fitbit.
Seriously from the Third party FAQ
WHY DOESN'T FITBIT UPDATE THE {app}INTEGRATION AND ADD MORE FUNCTIONALITY?
Fitbit doesn't own or maintain third party integrations. It's up to the owner of the third party app to implement or update features for their app. Unless there's some sort of limitation on Fitbit's side (e.g. no Fitbit SDK), then it's safe to assume that the owner of the app is the one to contact if you're interested in seeing the integration improved.
The way to attach a third party app to fitbit is by going to the third party web site and clicking on their link to connect to fitbit. If the third party doesnt have a link, you might want to ask them to li k up with fitbit. It is not really fitbits job to force them to link up.
Sorry @jsanch any linking today will only be for future days.
Your still asking the wrong party, Fitbit does not force themselves on third parties. The have an open API and encourage others to link up. If you would like Nike to link with Fitbit you should be ask8ng them.
