Let us delete in-app notifications/messages

This is clogging up my iphone. I have a year or more worth of useless Fitbit notification messages I'd like to shed. I saw a 'solved' notice in here from a year ago stating it was resolved by stating there is no solution. This is simply ignoring the myriads of request/votes of customer requests/concerns to fix it. Fitbit should have had a REAL solution by now and apparently do not. In reality this problem has not been resolved but simply is being ignored by the company/moderator. The solution 'solved' to put a vote in ideas does not address the real concern or issue at hand. What's the point of a community forum if Fitbit does not listen to its customers? The thread should have flagged Fitbit/moderator to produce a real fix, we're still waiting.

Yes Fitbit why can you apply a simple fix to delete the notifications on our app. Very frustrating you are not listening to your customers.  It takes up space in my phone to the point I just turned them all off.  Maybe we won’t be customers for very long.  Your choice.

I have old notifications going back to May 2017.  I'd REALLY like to get these deleted off my phone.  There must be a way.  This is taking up data space on my phone and it totally worthless information at this time.  Please find a solution for this. I Iove my Charge 2 but am getting close to switching to another brand that will allow me to clean things up.  I've worn a Fitbit for 4 years now.

What’s really frustrating is that there’s no response at all. Nothing. And this has been going on for years.

And yet we continue. Isn't the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?

It’s also called perseverance. We won’t give up until this is addressed. Although many have and moved on to another brand.

I have old notifications from July 30 to May 25 of the next year.  Who knows what years these are.   I have not got them since May 25 and it is now Jan 19 2019.  Don't know why they started not sticking around but I really would like to get rid of the really old ones that seem stuck on my phone.

i messaged them on facebook. They replied quickly. Apparently, it is very
complicated for them to add it. I guess they haven't discovered the
technology that every other company has had since the early 2000s??

Since the latest fitbit update - i am constantly notified of messages recieved on fitbit some are more than 1 month ago. there should be an option to delete messages and also to select who can and cant send messages to you on fitbit.

Ok Marcel,
I know where the option is to not permit certain notifications/ messages, but for the life of me I can not find any option to DELETE notifications/messages!!!

The fact that this has not been fixed several YEARS after it’s been reported is sort of ridiculous.

Swipe right... delete.

Quite literally every other app has this functionality.

I realize it’s silly to get upset about it but this seems like a really easy fix.

Please let us delete messages we don’t want on our app...I have messages from over 200 days ago?

Having submitted SEVERAL comments regarding your topic you can be assured that the executives of FitBit do not care a wit of what we, as customers, want!

Agreed!  We need to be able to delete notifications and messages from the app.

I feel there is enough votes and request to fix, and that you all are intelligent enough to put a delete option on the messages! Come on now! It can’t be that hard.

I ageee we should be able to delete in-app notifications and messages. Mine has been full since June of 2018 and now is useless. So either need to fix it or do away with the notifications and messages.

My notifications alerts are always showing that I have a message but I do not.

We also need to be able to delete messages and notifications. Thanks.

I am tired of having a notice on my phone and opening an app to a message from a guy I don’t know and an unwanted picture. We need to be able to delete messages.

Some of my messages are from stalkers. It's very annoying to have that reminder, even after I have blocked the user.

Yes I agree - That is the biggest downfall of the Fitbit community - it is more of a pick-up site than fitness advise and experiences. These men and women need to get a life and not stalk and be so agressive when informed you are not interested and only here to her fit. Then to have to continually look at the message every time you receive something new - awful.

Deleting must and has to be an option soon!

Thanks,

if you became friends and a msg was sent, I deleted the friend request, logged out the app and back in and those stalker msgs are gone.

But yeah I would like the option to delete msgs.

I"ve just started using my Fitbit again and have a message from one of my friends that I look at, and then clears the red dot on Notifications only for it to reappear the next time I log in.

This never used to happen and is extremely annoying.  how difficult is it to get this right?

Please give us the option to delete messages from the app or online. They are not deleting after 30 days.

Weird that the messages that are sent from my iPhone aren't saved on my phone, but all messages I've received from others cannot be deleted from my iPhone. I've been a Fibit enthusiast for 4 years, but about to jump the fence. This is so frustrating.
