Let us delete in-app notifications/messages

This is clogging up my iphone. I have a year or more worth of useless Fitbit notification messages I'd like to shed. I saw a 'solved' notice in here from a year ago stating it was resolved by stating there is no solution. This is simply ignoring the myriads of request/votes of customer requests/concerns to fix it. Fitbit should have had a REAL solution by now and apparently do not. In reality this problem has not been resolved but simply is being ignored by the company/moderator. The solution 'solved' to put a vote in ideas does not address the real concern or issue at hand. What's the point of a community forum if Fitbit does not listen to its customers? The thread should have flagged Fitbit/moderator to produce a real fix, we're still waiting.

I agree, it’s just an app. If they can not fix this, what does it say about the technology of the watches going forward...

Yep couldn’t agree more.  This just a poor design in regards to the messaging which Fitbit doesn’t seem to care enough about to fix.

We should be able to delete messages and notifications in the app.

Please make Fitbit chat function like most modern communication apps and add swipe to delete. I have messages from over 30days which are supposed to disappear and haven’t. Plus I should be able to delete/ replay to a message any time I choose.

Hey Moderator:  you’re not going to shut us up.  Once again, you tell us that you’re not going to address this but you don’t say why.  This is the single most wanted feature by far.  There are thousands of posts on this. Fix it already.

I have notifications on my iPhone app going back to July 2017 and would like to delete them but am unable too.  Surely some way should be devised to delete old ones they pile up on your phone

Early birthday present. Hello Apple Watch....bye, bye Fitbit.  After years of frustration and Moderators playing games to shut us up, by closing posts of thousands of people complaining about the inability to delete notifications, I decided to move on. What a shame.

I understand your frustration. The moderators have also closed the the post for quick replies for iOS phones. I was really excited to get my versa but after seeing how fitbit decides what features it implements on its product i must say i'm a bit disappointed. i could understand that some features may require fitbit to see what the market thinks before it invests time and resources, but other "essential" features should not need this voting process. Replying to a message should be a standard feature. Most smart watches can do it and if you have an android phone you can do it with your fitbit. even charge 3 users who own android phones can reply to messages.  I'm very close to switching to an apple watch at this point.

Please give us the ability to delete all notifications. Once I've seen it, I don't need to keep it, regardless of how old it is. If I could just all my notifications when I'd like to, that would be great.

There needs to be an option to delete all unwanted messages from the Fitbit app. I get tons of messages and there's currently no way to remove them.

Still waiting on a way to delete in app notifications that are piling up and are not useful to me. I hope this gets resolved soon! This seems to be a common problem that should be fixed for the user.

So, if you type "allow us to delete in app notifications" this is an ongoing issue, for the last 3 or 4 YEARS! The other thread about this, or other suggestion, appears to be locked and closed.  Fact is, I've got messages/notifications dating back to 2017, when I got my Charge 2 (I recently upgraded to Charge 3), which means messages/notifications are NOT automatically deleting in 30 days, and supposedly, when I hit 100 they will start dropping off? I just don't understand why this is still not being considered! Aren't all these message/notifications taking up space on your servers? Why do you not want us to delete them? This should not even be a 'feature' it's just basic functionality. Would you use email if you couldn't delete no longer needed emails?   And before anyone complains, I'm talking about the app (which has all the same info across all devices, including going online on your PC), so it doesn't matter either way, but I'm using Android.

So, my 'feature' suggestion is:  Allow us to delete in-app messages and notifications.

Thanks!

On the fit bit app it shows last 100 messages but it would be nice if I could check my messages with out seeing the last 100 , to be able to remove them on your own.
