Let us delete in-app notifications/messages

This is clogging up my iphone. I have a year or more worth of useless Fitbit notification messages I'd like to shed. I saw a 'solved' notice in here from a year ago stating it was resolved by stating there is no solution. This is simply ignoring the myriads of request/votes of customer requests/concerns to fix it. Fitbit should have had a REAL solution by now and apparently do not. In reality this problem has not been resolved but simply is being ignored by the company/moderator. The solution 'solved' to put a vote in ideas does not address the real concern or issue at hand. What's the point of a community forum if Fitbit does not listen to its customers? The thread should have flagged Fitbit/moderator to produce a real fix, we're still waiting.

It would be useful to be able to choose whether to delete or save messages at any time. I don't want to have to view inappropriate messages for 30 days before I can delete them. I could imagine vulnerable youngsters being the target for bullies and getting swamped with hate messages.

Fully agree!  This is a big "oops" on the part of app development.  These notifications, seemingly insignificant, need to go away.  It's fine to have them show up but it would be nice to be able to:
A. delete them individually
B. Delete "ALL" in one 'click'

They are clearly unnecessary and as mentioned above, they are holding memory/space hostage!  Please release them!!

Agree. Please allow notifications deletion.

Yeah. Turn them off altogether. I don't need a notification reminding me to hit my step goal or telling me I'm over 10k steps / day or  only 2 more days to hit your exercise goal or whatever.

Turn off altogether is better.

I would love it if we could delete old fitbit notifications and user messages.

Ok. Many of us agree but how do we get FITBIT to do this? The company obviously couldn't care less about its clients.

I keep hoping these posts will help. Messages used to do the same thing. I know I complained and I assume others did as well. Now they disappear after a short while.

Your messages don't disappear? My notifications don't but my messages do.

I have messages from users that are now hitting 450 days old.   Neither notifications or messages seem to be deleting.

I have cheers and messages that are over a year old. I WANT THEM GONE! Please develop a way to delete them. Thank you.

Apparently logging out and then back into the Fitbit app will delete messages over 30 days old.

Regardless of this, I would like to be able to choose what to keep and what to delete and the ability to do so at anytime

I truly think it will be great for us to be able to delete notifications. To many notifications can take up memory on your phone. I don't think we should completely do away with getting notification but have a way to delete them once we have read them. 😁

Please allow the option to disable in app notifications. In my experience and opinion, the in-app notifications are excessive, pointless, and annoying. Honestly, they almost ruin the experience of using the Fitbit app.

Yes, thank you! I logged out, deleted the app and downloaded the app again. When I logged in again the messages were gone! Seems like a lot of work for something that should be pretty easy. Now about the notifications, I have those back to February 28, 2017!

I add my voice to this chorus - adapt this function so we can read then delete.
