Light, medium or heavy flow to automatically start a new cycle

I feel like there are a few things the period tracking part is currently missing out on. The way we have to add our period is tricky. Please make it so that entering either light, medium or heavy flow automatically starts a new cycle.

1. The option to enter cervical mucus is great as this is what indicates an open fertile window, but the fertile window displayed in the app doesn't change based on what I entered that day.
3. Think about the option to enter basal body temperature. A lot of women (including myself) chart their BBT to determine when ovulation happened and when their fertile windows is closed again. Giving users the possibility to track BBT and add Peak Day and Temperature Shift would be absolutely great and welcomed by a lot of users. Also, a Fitbit device that measures the BBT (similar to e.g. the TempDrop) sounds great to me. If something like that should ever exist, I'd buy it!
4. The luteal phase is not always 14 days long, it varies from woman to woman. Having the option to track BBT, the app would more precisely predict when the period is supposed to come.
5. The possibility to track other symptoms would be so beneficial. I can see myself switching to Fitbit completely for charting my cycles if all of the aforementioned points are considered and implemented. I'm already happy that there is the possibility to track cervical mucus, but for a lot of women, that isn't enough.

Thank you for adding female tracking, Fitbit! I agree with everything mentioned above and will absolutely purchase a Fitbit that tells my waking BBT, similar to tempdrop. If you add this feature plus full charting features a la the Kindara app you would have some lifelong Fitbit fertility awareness method users!!

I like this idea. Also think that it would be brilliant if you could see patterns in other things, Like tracking pill taking and patterns of cramping for women who don’t have periods. I can’t see any patterns because I have never logged a period and never will.

I really dislike the Fitbit period tracking, it is not easy to edit your cycle. Mine didn’t predict it right, and now since I tried to edit it I have a gap between my period and my fertile days... and you still can’t import old data!

I agree, I also think that there should be an option to mark yourself as pregnant and enter your estimated due date, so that it doesn't have to be left completely blank since none of the period tracking applies to us pregnant ladies.

I agree with @Tayles.  Not all of us have a period anymore (menopause, surgery, body differences), but still have cycle symptoms we’d like to track: cramps, headaches/migraines, cravings, etc. A great iPhone app I’ve used for years is iPeriod for idea generating.
