I noticed when my versa is wet, it picks up water drops as finger input and does a lot of random stuff. I know the Apple Watch has a "wet mode" feature that locks the touch screen for this very reason. Would be nice.
Hi @jaxn_waxn_flaxn! Thanks for sharing your suggestion. I think that it will benefit a lot of users that might be having similar issues than you. Thanks again.

I'm surprised this hasn't become a higher priority topic. I like my Versa, but the threat of having the shower auto respond to a work text message with misdirection (and potential consequences with my employer) is a HUGE liability for me. I can't imagine I'm the only person who has concerns with this, and I doubt an employer would accept the excuse "I didn't send that; it was my shower". While it may seem like a small inconvenience for users, something like this could also be bad publicity for Fitbit if someone was fired due to a quick reply that was incorrectly triggered by the watch due to liquid (especially for a product that is advertised for use in wet environments).
A simple setting that keeps the physical buttons active but allows the touch screen functionality to be disabled would work great.
Just my 2 cents to make a good product even better.
I would love for this to be a feature on the Versa! Going in the shower with the Versa is frustrating because of the screen opening up random apps because it registers the water droplets as a swipe or touch.
I don't understand how this is not a standard setting for the watch when you select your exercise type. I do a variety of sports, and in sports like boxing or any sport where wearing long sleeves that cover the watch face, fabric wet from perspiration can interfere with the touchscreen, pausing the exercise of even changing settings. Several times I've had my watch vibrate because this interference has launched an app or paused or stopped an exercise.
Adding an option to lock the touch screen and keep the hardware buttons active during any exercise would be very welcome and just add to the ease of use of this device.
I've been using my Versa to track all manner of exercise, but getting inaccurate data because a bit of wet fabric is interfering with the touch interface seems like a design oversight problem to me.
Hi everyone, whilst this is unlikely to be released on Fitbit Versa, this has been noted by our Product teams and discussed for future products. I have updated the label accordingly. Thanks for sharing this idea and please continue to vote on it if it's of interest!

I’ve just switched to Versa 2 from a Garmin. I’m very happy with everything except one feature I miss so far: the ability to quickly disable the touch screen against accidental touches—especially for rain and the shower.
Hi @Rpotter1000, thanks for explaining why you would like to have ability to quickly disable the touch screen against accidental touches. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can learn more about it here. You can also check these other two suggestions:
Hi everyone, and thanks for sharing this suggestion. We’re very happy to let you know that this has been released on our newest Fitbit Inspire 2, Fitbit Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense. On the Inspire 2, you can manually turn on the Water Lock by following the instructions from this help article. In the case of the Versa 3 and Sense, the Water Lock will automatically turned on whenever you start a swim activity.

It would be very useful if the smartwatch had a sensor that detects water and blocks the screen, because when I shower with the watch on, it detects water and even if it blocks it, turning the wrist activates the screen.
Hi @Mercuso, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to set "Wet mode" on Fitbit devices. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Released". I hope to see you around.
