I love this idea and was surprised that it wasnt already a feature. Might I also add the ability to create a custom 'Quick Add' button for both the phone app and the watch interface if integrated.
Yeah, having to go to the app to track water is an inconvenience, so much so that I don't actually do it. (Well, maybe once, and realized it was more trouble than it was worth).
The app gives you 3 options to record the amount of water you've drunk: 250ml (1 glass) , 500ml (1 bottle), and 750ml (large bottle). What would be the suggested increment sizes for recording it on the Charge 3? Would you expect the same sizes, or perhaps increments of 100ml, starting at 100ml and going on to a 1L? (Kind of like the Countdown time, but for water?)
Whatever way they decide to do it, being able to tap on the Charge 3 to record water would be so much better. I'm sure many people would actually do it if it were available!
One of the main reasons I upgraded from the Charge 2 is because I thought it would be possible to log the water intake directly on the watch (I can't have my phone with me while I work and tracking how much water I drink is really important to me).
It is stated in your website that it's possible to do it (here) , so I was very disappointed when I got my new Charge 3 today that this is not a possibility yet.
I hope there will be an update really soon, otherwise I'd regret not holding up to the Charge 2...
This seems like such a no-breaker that I can't believe it hasn't been impressed yet. Hydration is a huge factor in health and exercise, and having to remember to stop, pick up your phone, and open an app every time you finish a glass of water is not convenient enough for people to keep up with it. Please add this to the Charge 3, preferably with a reminder feature just like you have for getting steps in!
Posting here just to echo what the people before me have said. I know I drink enough water on most days, but I don't always have my phone with me or I don't want to take out my phone, depending on where I am.
If I could log my water intake on my Charge 3, that would be fantastic! I love all the features it has so far, but this is the only thing I'm really missing.

Just wanted to throw this out there to see if it would be possible to have the software developers make an update/improvement to the way the fluid/water data can be collected. I'm one who tries to not to be constantly on my smart phone all the time and would love it if instead of pulling out my phone to launch the fitbit app to log my daily fluid intake I could just scroll through the menu on my Charge 3 and select the approximate .oz consumed and tap (8oz), tap (16oz), tap (32oz), etc. Then just have it all sync'd to the fitbit app at the end of the day.

I would like to be able to track my water intake on my charge 3 by simply presing a series of buttons on my tracker. I don't want to diddle with my phone to track my water intake. Thanks
Hello @Shaywarden, thanks for taking the time to share your idea in the Community, I think this would be a very helpful implementation for many users. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is not currently planned.

Unit has a water tracker, but you have to stop what you're doing ,get to your computer or phone, sign in to your app and find the water usage area every time you want to record water usage, when there is an icon right there on your wrist unit. This doesn't make sense. Not efficient.
Thanks for posting your idea on the matter. I could definitely see Inspire users appreciating the option to log the water they consume directly on their Fitbit Inspire.
This would be awesome - If I can set timers with a side swipe, then if I could select 1/8/16/24 oz with a side swipe and a tap, that would be really helpful. I don't really see the point in having it on my Inspire to remind me if I have to manually log it in my app because the hassle of getting to my phone and getting into the app will sear the numbers into my memory pretty well.
