Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

Taking away the online dashboard was the stupidest thing Fitbit could have done. I hate using my phone, especially for things like this. Entering meals is especially impossible.

Need a new device that will link to website. Ready to make a switch. Any suggestions would be helpful.

The Web UI for the dashboard has been discontinued. This is a major inconvenience as I regularly entered data daily and have a long history of data. Now there is reduced convenience and functionality.

Do your research. Garmin and Apple look good. Some of the cheap brands are Chinese companies.

Please bring back the PC web dashboard.    I need full size monitor and keyboard.   Loyal fitbit user over ten years.

Losing the dashboard on pc is the just spiteful. There is no reason to do it, no benefit to those who already use the phone app, nothing but problems for those of us who find phone apps nasty, pissy little things too awkward to bother with. I will find another health watch, which may or may not have a pc dashboard, but at least I will know that going in. With fitbit, since you had a pc dashboard already, and have zero reason to close it down, I see no reason to maintain my years of loyalty.

Like many of the other comments I really want you to bring back the desktop application.
The phone app just does not give the same level of detail. I am sure that there are some accountants that have determined the risk / reward of not supporting the desk top and the vote is to reduce cost. Add me to the lost customer list.

lol. Fitbit have never had any idea of customer service.

I dumped them years ago for my main fitness activity eg running logs etc.

I only came back a few months ago cause I thought I would use my Fitbit Charge during a rehab program.

but now the website has gone it is pretty useless for that - as others have said no granularity on lots of measurements.

I need a keyboard to type!!!!!!! Never cculd do the finger thing. 76 years old!!!!!!!!  Greed is the only reason they are doing this, it is our fault for letting Google get so big that they can do what ever they want!!!!!

I've been using fitbit since 2018 and used the web interface several times a day. They have cruelly removed it. Fitbit is the only product I use that has has consistently gotten worse over time. It has to be intentional. There is no way they are doing this to make it "better".

As soon as this watch wears out (and it will, they always do) I am going to get a Garmin.

Fitbit can fix this but. It's on them. It's their fault, over and over and over again.

I hate the fact that I can no longer sync my fit bit to my computer.  I hate the fact that you must have a smart phone to use it and from the comments I have read, that is not working that great.  I do not want a smart phone.  The only things I care about syncing are steps, miles, and weight.  I would not even care if I had to log them in manually.  I will keep this fit bit until it dies, but after that, I will choose a simple pedometer and do it manually anyway.  I have love this product and am extremely disappointed in the decision to move away from the computer connectivity.

For the past 6 months I have been using both my Fitbit Charge and a smart-ring, both having a useful website to access my data. Now that the Fitbit dashboard is gone, my Charge is nothing but a wrist based alarm clock.

@pwrfit  said, "I can't even believe Fitbit would do this!"  Apparently you didn't notice that Fitbit was ingested by Alpha, parent company of Google, in 2021. It's probably not a coincidence that that's when many of the fun things about using the product began disappearing. Just another example of Google ignoring their vaunted "don't be evil" motto...

App is a very poor substitute for the dashboard and definately not a like for like replacement. No longer a sliding scale on the activity and the app is so small that the activity (in my case a swim) does not give an accurate picture of my consistency across the swim. Other features lost as well as detailed by other people commenting.

Actually editing my previous comment - just looking now the graph of my swim has entirely vanished - not even a small unusable graph so now renders the data pretty useless. Will now invest in holoswim instead of upgrading my fitbit as planned.

Bring back the dashboard.  Itwas much much more use friendly than the feature on the i-pad app. The reason for buying a fitbit in the first place was the ease of use on the PC Dashboard.  Without tis facility there is no point for me in using fitbit.

I'm incredibly disappointed to learn that the browser version of the dashboard is being discontinued!! I just did a side-by-side comparison of the Fitbit Luxe and the Apple Watch Series 9 and I chose to keep the Fitbit because it has a browser-based dashboard that I can view on my computer. I have age-related vision issues that make it tougher to view information on a small screen, such as a watch or a phone, so it was a tremendous ease on my eyes to be able to see the information on a large screen. And now I learn that Fitbit is taking this option away!

Related, but not as impactful, is the lack of a keyboard on a phone.  Some of us touch-type, and others have fine motor issues that make it tough to input text on a phone.  For a health-related fitness app, making it less ADA accessible just doesn't make sense.  What is Fitbit's mission?  I had thought it was to help us manage our overall health and wellness, but I may have been wrong.

Please, reconsider discontinuing the browser view!

Please bring the dashboard back to windows.  My eyes are old and the app does not have all of the charts and graphs that were available on windoes,  The app does not show 15 minute increments like the windows dashboard.   Makes it difficult to track how long my walk was or how quickly I walked in each 15  miute bracket.  The app does not show a 28 day average but starts fresh each month making it hard to determine if I am walking more. The sleep graph does not show the same details as on the windows app.

Most of the fitbit users are older and more likely to use windows than a phone app.  You have just angered a large portion of your customer base,

You must be kidding me.  Why in God's name would you discontinue web-site?  I've been using your web-site religiously for over 10 years.  The phone app is very cumbersome and not user friendly.  Please bring it back.

Bring back web access to dashboard!  Deal breaker.  I use it to monitor 86 yr old sleep and heart rate!

Don't understand it. Yeah sure, force me to navigate using my fingers on a tiny screen instead of a mouse, keyboard, and large screen on any device without installing an app. So stupid. Can't wait until I can find an alternative that works with Pixel Watch 2

I, too, wish to voice my disappointment that the desktop dashboard/web interface is being phased out. It was my primary source for my fitbit data, and I find it much more useable and friendly than I do the app. I referred to it every morning to note down vital statistics (as I keep a paper log for my own purposes) and refer to past trends. In my experience, much of that information is considerably more difficult to locate in the app. I am not happy, and it appears many other people are in the same boat.

This change may be the 'nail in the coffin' for my use of Fitbit. I got hooked early on and have had many iterations of the device. Google's acquisition made me concerned, but as I use Google for much throughout my day, I tried to maintain hope that they would keep things going. I was hanging around because I liked the web interface. Without that, I may give in and move to one of the competitors I've long considered. This seems like an ideal time to try something new, as everything here seems to be on a downhill slide. Such a shame, as Fitbit has been a cornerstone for me for many years.

The PC dashboard is absolutely necessary!  Bring it back!!  There are features it offers that are not available in the app.  Fit bit is essentially worthless to me without these.

Alphabet has been consistent in their mission to terminate features and applications. There are easily a half dozen of those in Google and Android that I found valuable, used consistently, and are gone now. When they acquired Fitbit the writing was on the wall. I don't know if this is their bigger strategy against Microsoft PC and Apple Mac users to prop up their other brand Chrome or something else but you are spot on. Running this website in it's current state doesn't take any special effort. It's clearly a business decision that doesn't take into consideration the actual user experience. I am looking long and hard at the Fitness/Activity tracker that starts with the letter "G". I see a lot of trainers wearing them. There's a robust browser based UI for it.

@Husbone  - absolutely agree with you. The browser version if much friendlier than the smartphone app!

I wholeheartedly agree. The app on my phone does not have any of the tools I use--only the website does. My total overall minutes of exercise (not just the zone minutes), a comparison of exercise and caloric intake week-by-week, month-by-month, etc. Easy food tracking, meals created, less-clicking, and so forth. The app is just not user friendly. Please bring back the website or make the app more like it.
