Make meditation and sleep sounds stay on when not in app

Please make it so if I go into another app or press the off button on my phone, I can still hear the meditation. It always shuts off as soon as I leave the app. I need to be able to have the screen off at night so the light is not disturbing my sleep and so my phone battery is not drained. If the phone screen shuts itself off then the meditation also stops. This should be a simple fix. It would also be nice to be able to hear the relaxing sounds while doing other things on my phone.

The sleep sound real should keep playing with the phone locked and the screen dark.  It stops every time the phone locks.

Completely agree you just start to relax and the program stops playing when the phone locks automatically very annoying and it won’t continue playing unless unlocked not very relaxing or meditative if you have to unlock the phone every minute

I agree, the Fitbit app could easily override the phones phones time out, but this will keep a higher battery usage.

Allowing the meditation to run while the Fitbit app is running in the background is a must.

Right now to use your meditation the user has to go into their phone settings and change the screen timeout, or use the quick Stay On overide and wake up to a dead phone battery. Unless a third party app is used to force a screen timeout.

Why release a feature that in reality can not be used.

Even a 15 minute sleep wind down is useless with a 20 second screen timeout.

Agree the app should allow for playing while locked, and auto register as an activity if it plays to completion.

Fully behind you on this. I used a sleep meditation once and it worked well, I had a great sleep. When I woke in the morning the screen was still on, half the phone battery was gone and I was concerned the image might have burned into the screen which can happen. If it went to sleep after the video or meditation or whatever, it would be much better. Or as suggested, let it work when the screen is locked
