Both the CDC and AHA agree that adults need 150 moderate or 75 vigorous activity minutes a week. Fitbit currently treats these the same and even goes as far as to recommend 30 moderate minutes every day claiming it is the AHA recommendation when the AHA recommends 30 minutes 5 days a week. Fitbit uses a daily activity minute goal instead of a weekly goal as recommended by CDC, AHA, and WHO.
Most other fitness trackers look for 150 minutes a week of moderate or 75 vigorous. They often treat vigorous as 2x (two times) the value of moderate activity so these numbers can be combined into a single goal. Basically (1 x Moderate) + (2 x Vigorous) = Weekly Activity Mins Goal.
