More Accurate Battery Life or % in Mobile App

I have owned a Fitbit Charge HR for about 2.5 weeks now. Using the battery life indicator icon on the dashboard on my iPhone or IPad, I was shocked to see that I was at one-half reserve or less by the second day after full charge. I have no notifications permitted and only sync when I open the apps ( few times in 24 hours.) When I plugged in the Fitbit to recharge, however, the battery reserve always showed much greater than the dashboard icon reported. "What gives?" I asked. So, today I called your trusty tech support staff who has just confirmed that the battery life icon on the dashboard only has three "levels" it can report: full, medium, and low. Hmmmm. Not so cool.

OK, guys, please revise your onboard firmware and app software to more accurately reflect the true status of the battery reserve when checking into the dashboard. The "new dashboard" graphics have not addressed this issue. Otherwise, a lot of folks are going to be charging their devices unnecessarily rather than tracking all the fun on wrist or ankle, where they belong. Thanks!

Have now swapped to an Ionic which i can see the messages and time clearer and it has a battery percentage level on it.

It also emailed me when the battery was flat! again very useful when i get loads of emails and don't check regally! why not just get the watch to tell you?

Question is, why can't Fitbit simply modify the software to show battery
percentage level on Charge 2?

I really can't wait for the Fitbit development team to get old. Then, you won't be as cavalier about your users not being able to see that ridiculous battery icon on the Blaze.

Time to start looking for a different device. #disappointed.

I understand there are variations on this already, but my experience is with a Flex 2 which does not have a screen.

I know for a fact that the battery % is "known" .. I know this because my original flex 2 would not charge fully, and when I contacted support, that asked me to sync my flex 2 to my android phone, and afterwards informed me that the battery was stuck at 90%. When I contacted them the following day they could see that the battery had discharged to 10% in a matter of a few hours.

So ... if the % is available, why can't you display it in the app?

I've continued to run my flex 2 for the best part of a day, even though app said "battery empty" .. knowing the % would be useful to know exactly when to recharge it.

Surely a simple change to the app?

I'm sure people will say that the percentage in app will only be accurate at the point of sync ... but that's fine by me ... if I want to know the %, I'll kick off a sync.

Hi

It would be much better if there was a battery percentage rather than empty, low, medium, full etc.

I use a flex 2 so the app is handy for knowing exactly how charged my device is and if it is fully charged rather than being 90+% charged and not actually full.

Thanks

It would be great to have a battery percentage on the Blaze as others Fitbit have! Why is not on the making yet ?!!😳

Show battery percentage rather than the description of low/medium/full

I had the Fitbit Blaze and I was able to select the option to at least see the battery bar on the screen when I wake it up. I just updated my watch to the Fitbit Versa. I wish that I could see the battery percentage on the screen when I wake it up without having to swipe up.

Fit says this is not a software fix. I don't quite understand that. I
really hope they someday get the battery percentage. Love the watch
otherwise.

Showing battery percentage in the App.

Instead of full medium and empty, use percentage, also on the tracker itself.

Yes please. If my old dumb brick phone could display battery % 15 years ago, Fitbit should be able to do this in 2018...

Is it possible, instead of the Charge Bar that changes colour,  can the app be tweaked to display Battery Charge as a percentage?

The bar would be helpful since there is no warning on how low it goes. Ideally - on the Charge 3 itself.

To see the battery percentage on the charge 3 device itself, just swipe up from the home screen and you'll see it in the top left hand corner as a percentage.  Hope that helps.

Hey @ClintonHammond! Thank you for sharing your suggestion. This idea already exists, so I moved your suggestion here. Do not forget to give kudos by clicking on the thumbs up button.

If you query the Fitbit API directly you get battery % in increments of 10 so this already partially exists but no one has bothered to put this number in the app on Fitbit display

Yes, and also in the Alta HR, please.

Same for Fitbit Charge 3 - We NEED to be able to see the battery percentage left on the fitbit app. instead of only showing full, medium, etc...

Please can you put battery percentages on the app and not just the icon. Thanks

Hi @SunsetRunner, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has a lot of votes. As the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

I would like to see the battery percentage of my fitbit charge 3 in the mobile app. Some information on how long the battery lasted would also be helpful. I
