More badges (Add badge ideas here!)

Need more creative badges and trophies rather than just the lifetime records... that could be more motivating.

Here are a few ideas:
- Badge for reaching 10000 steps for 7 days in a row, 15 days in a row, 50 days in a row...
- Badges based on active minutes/calories/kilometers
- How about some more crazy/funny badges like "night owl" for someone who regularly achieves a lot of steps at night, "out of bed" (same principle but for early morning), etc.
- Badges that reflect poor activity; for instance a badge if you don't reach 10000 steps/day once in 7 days, ...

I think that these are all ideas that could really enrich the experience of fitbit users by increasing motivation and I believe they are all relatively simple to implement in the Fitbit system!!

Yes, I want more as well.  Not sure what you are going to do after the around the world badge but you are smart and I am sure you will come up with something.

Who agrees fitbit needs to release more badges for stairs climbed? I am over 50k floors and there are no badges to work for. Please fitbit, add some stairs climbed badges.........

Please fitbit, read some of the comments above with the suggestions and bring us more stairs climbed badges.... The badges are very motivating and without "a next one" to go after, it is making it difficult to stay motivated......

Not for floors, the height isn't really the accomplishment. It's the 2200 mile of trail that I think fitbit steppers would appreciate.

Add lifetime floor badge Mt. Everest There is a long wait between 2000, and 4000 floors relative to the early fast pace flurry of badges.  A nominal 3000 badge for Mt Everest would be exciting the "highest place on earth" and at near 29000 ft keep the tempo of motivating incentive for badges timely.

How about a badge for achieving step goal of 10k steps every day for a year ?

Couple more ideas for badges:

  • For consequent days reached custom or predefined goals (up to you guys) for example award a badge for 10 days reaching 10k steps, 25 days reaching 10k steps, ...
  • Badges for cycling or swimming
  • Would be super cool (I know it's hard to implement) to get badges when participating in (half)marathons (date+gps data)
  • Badges for climbing (change in altitude)

Thank you for the suggestion, CityLion! The gap between the Hot Air Balloon and the 747 is really daunting!!!

Please consider awarding a "Wingman Badge" to every member of the team when ALL members meet their goals during the Goals Day challenge.  This will spur camraderie and mutual support!

Please make this happen. It would be great to have this feature on the app. Competing with oneself is the best motivation.

I am currently at 45K lifetime floors and Fitbit seem to have stopped the clock at 35K lifetime floor badge. Could you please start adding new badges at 10K increments? Some die hard participants do aim very high. 🙂

I wish there would be badges now for swimming distances. I fee like it would also be awesome if it could go towards steps as to reach goals or if you could achieve some cool swimming goals. Example, there could be an English Channel badge or something.

If I walk about 3.5 mph at 1910 steps/mile I will take about 160,000 steps in 24 hours.  I think you should have some badges to cover those who might have goals in this range.  Once I get to 100,000 the carrots disappear.

I also think you should have a badge for best seven-day total, since the group rankings are based on these.  A person who walks 40,000 steps a day for seven days in a row deserves as much credit as the guy who did 100,000 in one day then took the next 6 days off.

Some of the lifetime distance breaks are rediculous.

I'm going to get three this year (Africa, Great Wall, and Russian Railway) between May and November, if all I do is 10k steps/day, based on what I have calculated that Fitbit track my step distance as.

But the next one after that (earth) is 3,500km away. At 10,000 steps a day, thats 475 days at my calculated stride length!

And Pole to Pole (the next, and as far as I can tell, final one) is another 7000+km away, calculated to take nearly 3 years!

Fitbit, this is rediculous - those of us who are trying to make every step count should surely be rewarded more often than that?

Need more lifetime badges.  There is over 1000 mile gap after the one at 2900 until 4100.  Would be nice if there is one every 300-500 miles.

Just earned my 7900 mile badge! The next opportunity for a badge is over 4000 miles away. Any chance to add badges along the way for motivation?

Yes please!   I was so proud to get my Earth Badge but am saddened there are no more!.   How about "Shoot for the Moon" in progressions of completion?    Or perhaps walking the diameter of other planets bigger than ours could be next?     Thanks!
