More badges (Add badge ideas here!)

Need more creative badges and trophies rather than just the lifetime records... that could be more motivating.

Here are a few ideas:
- Badge for reaching 10000 steps for 7 days in a row, 15 days in a row, 50 days in a row...
- Badges based on active minutes/calories/kilometers
- How about some more crazy/funny badges like "night owl" for someone who regularly achieves a lot of steps at night, "out of bed" (same principle but for early morning), etc.
- Badges that reflect poor activity; for instance a badge if you don't reach 10000 steps/day once in 7 days, ...

I think that these are all ideas that could really enrich the experience of fitbit users by increasing motivation and I believe they are all relatively simple to implement in the Fitbit system!!

Has Fitbit ever bothered to explain their inexplicable reluctance to add further lifetime badges? It really is very irritating and disappointing.

No fitbit has never commented with any type of real answer. What I did find out when I got someone on the phone is that an issue (in our case floors climbed) has to have tons of hits, comments, etc.... in order for the topic to make it to a developer. Very disappointing......

Well, it would seem that adding more lifetime badges would be the simplest, cheapest, and most obvious way to help retain their long-term customers!

Agree, to retain those long time customers, would be great to have something to achieve as a future goal........

Ditto. Long time Fitbit user here who would really appreciate some extra goals to aim for.

I agree. It would be good to have best this year badges.

I also agree - let's have more lifetime floor badges! I've had a Fitbit
account since 2012, haven't gotten a floor badge in ages 😭

I started using a Flex2 in February this year.
I noticed that the swimming distance logged by the device was wrong. I contacted Fitbit support and after clearing a few options I have to say the Flex2 is a just normal band which is water resistant. It has proved unable to measure anything distance accurately even in a 50m pool. I was advised the team was working on it…

So before the badges what about accuracy? BTW I hope yours works better than mine

Hey Fitbit family,

I have been an avid Fitbit user since I bought my Flex1 in 2015. It still works like a charm, by the way. I was gifted a Charge 2 and love it as well. I have been wanting to achieve floor badges since I'm a high school teacher in an old building with a bunch of stairs. I'm also an avid swimmer. With the release of the Flex 2, I'd love to see a collection of daily swim goal badges as well as lifetime swim goal badges, just like they have with floors. That would awesome.

I have also completed all the solo adventures and adventure races. Side note: On the adventure races it would be nice to receive trophies for first place (consider second  and third as well) just as one would get for completing other multiplayer challenges. Right now, we only get bragging rights.

On the solo adventures and adventure races, it would be awesome to see more of those. Some suggestions: Everest, Kilimanjaro, Alps, Pyramids, Pyrenees, Paris, London, DC, Tokyo, Stairway to Heaven in Hawaii, and the Smokey Mountains.

On trophies, see side note above. Also, it would be great to have daily floor and lap challenges based on a set number that you could compete against your friends on and get a trophy.

I understand not every Fitbit can track laps or stairs. My flex 1 could not do either laps or floors.  If there were a hybrid that could track floors and laps without the fancy heart rate stuff, that could be cool too.

Hi,

There don't seem to be any lifetime climb badges after the Satellite Badge. Can you please add some more ? Suggestions would be .......

Space Station

Comet

Starship

Thanks

Rob

I love your suggestions! What a great idea the night owl badge and early bird badge; but I really like your idea of badges within the badges,  such as awarding a badge for multiple achievements of daily step goals. That would definitely answer the demand for higher badges. I earned that 100,000 once but 5 times?!! Whoa! I think you have a real winner in this suggestion.

So, when I bought my Charge 2 I was 336lbs. I am now currently 305.8lbs. (30lbs lost since I bought my fitbit)

I have earned my 5lbs, 10lbs and 15lbs lost badges by Calorie counting and now eating my macros.

As someone who has at least another 70lbs of body fat to lose, could you please allow badges for total weight lost over a period of time.

You could also add badges for body mass gained. (I know these are manually entered stats, especially if we don't have the Alta scales). I am tying my weight loss in with raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK, the badges would be nice to post to those who are following my progress.

More  badges as an avid fitbit user who has almost all the badges I would like more added or I will probably just stop using it.

Adding my voice to the surprise and frustration that we don't have any badges past 35,000.  I love my fitbit and while I have transitioned to a watch for my running I still keep and wear my One so I can keep track of steps and more importantly to me - stairs.

I agree, this can't be hard to set up, let's do it already! Streaking badge!

Yes more badges for distance & mileage walked. Like circumnavigating Australia or walked from NSW to perth etc.

Anyone at FITBIT.......

When will you add more badges? Primarily for floors climbed??????

FITBIT are primarily interested in selling devices, the majority of which are probably not used in the long term and are gathering dust in a draw.

They don't care about the minority of keen users of the device, for example those who have already passed their lifetime floor badge limit....

Otherwise they would have addressed this issue professionally months ago rather than fobbing us of with "why don't you post this idea in the forum" Aaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!!!!!

I just earned the walk across Africa Badge.  Great, but I do not live in Africa, Italy, etc.  I live in the USA and I am a proud American, I find it odd and somewhat offensive that Fitbit does not offer a badge for walking across the USA, One would think as a USA company located in San Francisco, CA (perhas that is the reason?), it would be a no-brainer.  Anybody else feel the same way?:

I've walked up almost 43,000 flights of steps and my last badge was at 35,000. Is there any thought of making a badge for 42000 or somewhere up that way or have I "maxed out" on my flights of steps? Maybe have comet or moon as the next 2 I don't know???

I thought it might be fun to have some activity based badges at some point in the future, as well as just steps and floors.

For example for running, there could be a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon or Marathon badge, etc. Could be fun!

Maybe this takes me back to my days as a Girl Scout, but I would like to see Fitbit make embroidered badges available for each achievement that could then be sewn onto a vest, jacket, etc.  It could be a great identifier of a fellow Fitbit user, promote a conversation with someone not familiar with the product and an opportunity for bragging rights.

It would be nice to see on my dashboard the next Badge I'm working towards and the target, e.g. 45K steps. It would motivate most of us.

In addition, I believe you should create some additional Lifetime Badges.

I find that the daily Badges can be quite demanding, i.e. 45K steps/day, 50K steps, ...100K steps.  That's good.

But the Lifetime Badges are not.  I'm 500 miles away from achieving the final distance Badge (Earth), and I've already earned the Satellite Badge (35K floors climbed).  In fact, I'm now at 57K floors climbed.
