More badges (Add badge ideas here!)

Need more creative badges and trophies rather than just the lifetime records... that could be more motivating.

Here are a few ideas:
- Badge for reaching 10000 steps for 7 days in a row, 15 days in a row, 50 days in a row...
- Badges based on active minutes/calories/kilometers
- How about some more crazy/funny badges like "night owl" for someone who regularly achieves a lot of steps at night, "out of bed" (same principle but for early morning), etc.
- Badges that reflect poor activity; for instance a badge if you don't reach 10000 steps/day once in 7 days, ...

I think that these are all ideas that could really enrich the experience of fitbit users by increasing motivation and I believe they are all relatively simple to implement in the Fitbit system!!

I love this idea. Also I would like to see challenges related to calorie burn.

And water badges how much water you've drunk in relation to oceans and stuff

As a gamer this would motivate me so much. Imagine just getting a little info that if you go another 1000 steps, you will get a badge. Or one more staircase. Make it into a tile like you did with the activity and this would be the best tile so far. Then again, this is a 1,5 year old thread and topic. Please Fitbit, please make this come true.

As a long distance runner I have reached my ceiling and achieved as many steps in one day as I am ever going to get "Rocket Boot" steps in one day and "Waterfall" floors in one day. I expect everyone will reach their ceiling after a year or so of wearing one. Which means now I have to do 500 miles in between badges. How about a few more in between .. how about a Happy Birthday you have been a fitbit member for 1 year ..or a few more in between. 500 miles is too far apart for the average user.

Some people may lose interest once their badges drop off.

I think a calorie burn challenge would benefit all Fitbit users. The steps challenge is a good motivational tool but people burn calories easier doing different activities they enjoy. Personally I would rather go spinning for an hour over walking for up to three to get the same calorie burn.

I am about to hit my next badge at over 4,100 miles.  I wish there were more mile badges along the way, even if just a number badge every 500 miles.  And, it is impossible to think that I might run out of badges.  Seems such an easy thing to add ....

I agree with many of the users above. FITBIT, will you please give us more badges for lifetime climb after 35,000????? Pretty please? I keep up'ing my daily goal but noticed there are no badges to strive for.

Great idea by OP and Tsun4mi7 / SunsetRunner followed with other great ideas as well.

I don't know what is keeping from implementing such a simple but great feature??

Either come up with nice and usefull features by your own or atleast develop features what users need?

I can see the idea was floated Dec 2014?? .

Acknowledged by Fitbit Sep 2015 .

Implement 2018? If this being the case its no brainer by 2020 this site would be no longer available???

Just got my Italy badge! Found a list of upcoming badges and would like to make a suggestion for another one. 2802 is the longest straight line distance across the continental United States (Florida to Washington). You could call it the "Sea to Shining Sea" badge.

I'd like to suggest alongside the badges for # of steps and total distance (and floors for those with a Charge etc etc) to have a badge for consecutive # of days reaching your step goal. So it might be 5 consecutive days gets you a badge, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 etc, but if you miss a day of course the clock resets.

I always miss one day a week with my step goal so being able to get badges for them would be awesome. Badges and challenges are so motivating!

I'd suggested exactly the same thing previously. I've just met my step goal 100 days back to back and think it would be a great motivator being able to track these streaks more effectively. Knowing that I have to track this manually means I'll be much more likely to have a lazy day rather than push for 150 days!

I agree, why has this taken so long to implement?  Get it added to the web site, collect feedback/usage, and determine feasibility/ROI of adding it to the app...

BTW, at first I thought that only the lifetime activity badges would benefit from this type of progress bar, but even the daily badge categories could show the max achieved in any one day in a similar fashion.

+1 on this, I just emailed about streak and milestone (million total steps etc) badges.

I know a lot of people request extra badges, but I thought it would be nice to have badges not directly related to how many steps or stairs you walk but rather to other circumstances such as walk at night, in the morning? Also streak badges (met goal 7 times in a row etc) would be nice!

I find it difficult to stop disassemble and charge.  Suggestion, develop a second wrist band (charging band) with usb connector to a interim charging battery.  This can be charged while using normal activitiy monitoring.  When the Fitbit battery runs down, just temporarily switch to the charging band and keep walking.  When charged go back to the normal wrist band.

For some odd reason I am highly motivated by the idea of earning badges on Fibit. However, over the last four months I seem to have gotten most of the daily badges for steps taken and floors climbed. Therefore, I would like to suggest some more badge ideas to keep myself and others like me continuously motivated as we try to earn more badges.

Here are my suggestions:

I would like to see the badge for stairs climb go beyond 700 as I have already earned that badge and there is no more to earn.

I would also like to see some more badges for steps taken, such as a 110,000 and 120,000 step in a day badge.

Third, I would like to see a badge for consistently hitting 10,000 steps/day for a month or something along those lines.

Anyone else quickly running out of badges to earn?

Thanks!
