I need a clock face that's easy to read and displays seconds! Only two of the analog clocks have seconds and they are so minimal, it's hard to quickly glance down and know the time. And, only one digital layout has seconds and it's too crowded and ugly.
Please can we have readable faces. Simple clear designs in a variety of easy on the eye, clear colours. Not messy unclear graphics. This isn't a smart watch but it also isn't cheap. It should be functional and that means easy to read time and statistics. Thank you
I just recieved my Fitbit 5 today and I like it overall except the clock faces like many of you. I really am really puzzled why Fitbit did not just put in a few basic face designs like we have seen in past Fitbit models. I definitely agree where they were more concerned with the way these clock faces looked and not what is reasonable. It's very concerning though is that Fitbit has not added any more clock faces as this thread is over a year and a half old. Probably won't return it but if it keeps bothering me I will.
I got the Charge 5 today! I tried many clock designs, and I don't understand why so many cut off the bottom part of the time. The screen is decently-sized and vibrant without going into smartwatch territory.
I wish there were more clock faces to choose from, or at least the current ones get an update so the entire number is readable! I won't hold my breath, however!
My second fit bit - a charge 5. I'm disappointed there is no simple elegant analog watch face. Had I known this I would not have bought this one I would bave bought the older B/W versions. I agree with other comments this watch seems to be a victim of designeritis. Its got color so lets use it all the time. Please allow us to vote down some of the watch faces in the 24 default grid or just look at your use stats and replace the watch faces that are not used. I would vote up a simple B/W analog with steps and HR.
All of my kingdom for a clock face design that shows this (time and step count) every time I look at it.
My fitbit is constantly cycling through other stats such as HR, distance, calories that I am not usually interested in.
Feature request is to make clock face default screen show up every time I tap it or raise wrist; with option to disable stats that I am not interested in such as calories or distance so that I do not have to cycle through them to get back to HR or steps.
I just upgraded from the Charge 3 to the Charge 5 and I am really disappointed. I primarily use my Fitbit to tell the time and track my heart rate due to a health condition, my charge 3 had a great option that showed me my heart rate at all times including zones and an easily readable horizontal time (HR stat). There is no equivalent clock face in this version and it is making me greatly regret upgrading as it is now far less functional for me. Please bring back some of the more classic designs. I think it would be very beneficial to be able to choose which stat we want to see as our primary one, I just want what I had back as this feels more like a downgrade than an upgrade at this point.
So many requests from people and myself included and not once has any one from Fitbit responded to say we see all the comments and are working on it for us all.
I've been Fitbit's customer for 7 years from Fitbit Charge 1, Charge 3 and now Charge 5. Charge 5 will be my last Fitbit device.
Why?
Charge 5 clock faces are absolutely terrible but what is even more terrible is the way Fitbit treats their customers with ignorance. There are number of threads with huge number of requests about people asking new clock faces and only reply from Fitbit to all of the threads is that please remember to vote.
If company don't want to treat people with respect, then people should change to a company that wants to do it.
I can only agree with the majority of the comments.
The clocks are garish and dire.
I want to clearly see at a glance, the time, my calories, steps and heart rate without having to continually toggle. I broke my charge 4 but I am seriously considering binning the C5.
I'm male, 6'1" & 190lbs , I was worried that the $150 Garmin Vivomove Sport (Black version) would look small on my wrist.
I've not found this to be the case, so ignore the pictures on their website.
It offers just what I needed, a face that displays Heart Rate whenever I lift my arm, similar to the old fitbit C3 Reflex face did.
The watch has it's plus and minus points, like you can't see the digital display in the sunshine. Bit it does have real old-skool moving hands. Unlike the withings, it tracks HR every second regardless of if you are currently recording an activity.
So all in all, it's been fun sitting here with you all waiting... but I'm off.
I to have now left the Fitbit community and have gone apple. The watch is great a d does everything and more But I must admit not having to charge the watch every night is about all Fitbit at this point shines on. So well Fitbit. I really hope you can answer or at least respond to the people that are asking you for some simply click faces to improve your watch but it looks like corporate greed rules and customer service is out the window.
Good luck to the rest of the charge 5 owners I really wish the someday come through for you all.
I know it's an irrational thing to get angry about but my goodness, it's been since September and this device is painful to use. I hope no one ever buys this and if you really think they'll fix it... We all thought that. Just buy anything else. Old devices, different manufacturers, anything but this device. If you just got it please please return it. I wish I was paid to say so but it just sucks. I really tried but it sucks so bad and is more a cause of stress in my day than any help. No one cares in the development cycle except for mods to delete negative feedback.
@I22yb Fitbit is owned by goolge. unfortunately, this issue and charge 5 owners, are a minor inconvenience to them at most that won't make much of a difference to them. Google is just too big to care, that's why you'll find a lack of interaction in forums like these.
They did respond pretty quick on my Facebook post. Unfortunately, it's just a canned reply about voting on feature enhancements. But, hey, I'm betting someone at least reads their Facebook page comments.
