More clock/watch faces for the Charge 3!

So, the Charge 3 is out and there is a huge let down:

There are only 5 clock/watch faces:

Come on Fitbit...at least include all the Charge 2 watch faces too. We all loved the Charge 2 watch face with the time, date and the highlighted feature (steps/heart rate etc.)

Whats missing:

- Faces with the actual DATE and DAY

- Faces with a DIGITAL SECONDS TIMER

Or to say it again, just include the Charge 2 watch faces. Thanks in advance.

@daveg208 u said it soooo well.Now I know what my dad was talking about when he decided to buy a new Fitbit charge 2 instead of 3.He said the reviews were horrible on the 3.well guess we all will see what happens?

I preordered my charge 3 from amazon and received it the day it was released. How many days do I have to return it?  I’m really missing my charge 2. The C3 grayscale is too hard to read and the lack of watch faces is really a let down. It always seems Fitbit can’t deliver on new products. I had to return my ionic and aria 2 due to glitches and bugs.

Initially I was impressed by the positive Charge 3 reviews on many technology websites, but most did not mention the lack of date, visibility issues that actual users have commented on. These sites can have links to Amazon (I assume they get a payment if you click on this link?) so I wonder how impartial these reviews are. I always read "expert" and "user" reviews before I buy a product, and this is why I have no plans to buy the Charge 3 unless there are major changes in clock faces & readability (so important for us oldies). One positive effect is that the Charge 2 is currently on sale in NZ for equivalent of US$90! I know I have bored everyone about how much I love my old Charge 2, but the most cost effective option for me is to replace it with a brand new Charge 2. This should be my last post but I do acknowledge how useful this community.fitbit.com site has been.

On a similar point, the update you  mentioned above ?

Is that the same one that just swapped out the HR or steps for the date on two faces ?

Or is it another update ?

There is no new update - unless you haven't gotten 1.31.93    which was pushed out more than a week ago.

It is still the initial two modifications of the original 5 clocks to change a stat to a date the "MOD" clock and the "analog"- none of the improvements anyone else was suggesting - like adding the Charge 3 standard face.

Yes please. So bummed to find the face less functional for me than the Charge 2. Time, date, steps and heart rate should easily be on the screen. I don't need a cute clock, but the data easily accessible without scrolling through.

Add day of the week to clock faces that display date (i.e. Wed Oct 25). Also add a digital time read out option for date-style faces

Not completly useless, just seems like it in that no information is fed back into the community by FitBit.

And the pace of any action is glacial, even for the simplest of requests.

There is also a problem with FitBit not listening properly to what is being requested.

It's the only means we have to communicate so we have to make the best if it.

Absolutely spot on.

Its all very well asking for feedback but listening, responding and acting upon on it is what really counts.

Even if the answer is no or it will take a long time this needs to be communicated in a more timely manor.

I think that somehow, the marketing people have got hold of the tiller in this company.

And as we all know, marketing can't deal with negatives.

This theory is based on the happy jolly responses we are getting from the moderators. 

Obviously, the moderators who read these forums cannot possibly come out with the utter bilge that is posted in their names, they are being strictly limited to what they can say.

In fact, I will lay fairly good odds that the replies we see are very carefully scripted by a team of "Customer Engagement" specialists, who are able to put a positive spin on any situation. 

I just wish wish every comment from the moderators didn't read like it was created by an AI in training.

Just adding my voice/ vote. Please bring back the charge 2 faces.

I have had 3 fitbits over the years and have always gotten them as soon as they are released. They always have bugs and glitches for about the first 6 months. Good clock faces are always added a few months after release. Why they don't include them from the beginning and also work out all the bugs by using a test group is beyond me. They'd have way fewer returns that way and a more loyal customer base.  The first 3 to 6 months will be frustrating.  Have patience.

I take your point.

But also take the point about the perpetual cycle of stupidity that FitBit has locked itself into.

There is no learning and no progress here.

They make the same mistakes with every product they release.

You would think they would have given some thought to user group testing before release of a product.

But no. Yet another release with no testing or user input.

The problem is that if we don't buy the product for 6 months in order to give them time to get it right, it will just delay the whole process for 6 months, then we start the same with the complaints and it's another 6 months before it's fixed.

Crazy.

@chilll nice idea. Looks good. If the steps would be the main goal out of the settings in the app, this clock face would be much appreciated
