More clock/watch faces for the Charge 3!

So, the Charge 3 is out and there is a huge let down:

There are only 5 clock/watch faces:charge 3 clock.png

Come on Fitbit...at least include all the Charge 2 watch faces too. We all loved the Charge 2 watch face with the time, date and the highlighted feature (steps/heart rate etc.)

Whats missing:

- Faces with the actual DATE and DAY

- Faces with a DIGITAL SECONDS TIMER

Or to say it again, just include the Charge 2 watch faces. Thanks in advance.

@Airbuilder7

Are there now Charge 3 clock faces that did not exist a few days ago?

Is there a way that a C2 owner who is considering upgrading see them?

Are they close in functionality to the C2 faces?

CrystalClearly,
Stay with CH2...it seems to me that FitBit is ignoring the many users of
CH3 that - like me - are asking for the same level of information on the
clock faces of CH3 that we had in CH2. Even the size of the fonts they used
in CH3 do not reflect the fact that the CH3 as the CH2 are fitness devices,
activity monitors, NOT time-font show offs
Very poor design, that defeats the very reason for wearing an activity
monitor.
And they are not responding...

There is a reto face with time date and then you circle thru the bpm/ steps/stairs/calorie ens with a tap on the screen and it stay on the one you stop at but mine had a bpm problem making the avg bpm 9 lower on the avg comparing to my charge2
There is a forum chatting about that problem

Does it include the DAY now? Too many comments, so it's hard to find. I returned my Charge 3.

I cant believe you cant see the steps and heart rate together like on charge 2.

I don't understand how a company can be smart enough to create fitness trackers but completely stupid when it comes to providing a sensible clock face.

I also cant believe they have not bothered to rectify this especially when all their customers are begging for it. Are they arrogant, inefficient or just dumb ?

Unfortunately I am returning my C3 and going back to the C2 over an issue as silly as a clock face. How many customers have done this so far and to what cost to fitbit ? Surely it wouldn't take long to add the classic charge 2 clock face to C3 ?

I shake my head and reluctantly head back to the shop for a refund

Thanks
I saw those two retro with Steps and the other with HR. Still, more than 1/3 of the screen is empty and one cannot see four fields together.
.! And the secondary fields are smaller compared to CH2. There is no justification for what Fitbit’s developers did. They are simply annoying almost everyone by not taking the time to think this whole thing thru. Where is the developer (and the design documents) of CH2 clock faces? Nobody cared to improve on a decent solution - or simple avoid screwing up with it.
Thanks again for the note.

24hr format option for the clock faces is something I would like to see

Both CH2 and CH3 have 24Hr time.

The charge 3 was my first experience with a Fitbit device. I tried it for 3
weeks.

Not being able to see what day of the week it is (for example, Sat) and
lack of customization were deal breakers for me.

I returned the charge 3 and replaced it with a 42mm Samsung Galaxy watch,
which I've had for a week and a half. I am very satisfied with it. It is so
customizable. Thousands of watch faces with many stats, date, day of week,
etc. And I can set the screen timeout to various amount of time (10 seconds
to 5 minutes). I can hide things I don't want to see.

I tried to unsubscribe from getting emails from this forum, but they still
keep appearing in my inbox. I am relieved that I am no longer having to beg
for things that should be basic functionality in 2018. Hopefully, Fitbit
will get the charge 3 watch faces improved soon, for the sake of those
still using the charge 3.

I used a Charge 2 clock face with time, heart rate and calories.  Nothing like that for Charge 3 where the focus seems to be on trendy appearance instead of data presentation.  Ideally for me I would like Date, Time, Heart Rate and Calories in a plain typeface.

Agree with everyone here - the clock faces are a huge let down on the Charge 3.  I'll be returning mine and going back to the Charge 2 if it's not resolved soon.    Once again, I found myself looking to see if new watch faces were available.  I was somewhat pleased to find the "Charge 2 Retro" face - I quickly tried to select that as my new watch face.  Unfortunately, I only get a "This clock cannot be installed on your device".  WHY????????????????????

Can we get clock face with digital clock (linear, not stacked) with AM/PM and seconds to the right of time, and double state (above and below) with option to change one of the stats. In general more clock face options are still needed, in my opinion. Thanks for listening.

I purchased my first Fitbit yesterday and I got the Charge 3. I'm impressed with the device so far however the lack of clock face customization is definitely something that stood out straight away. I totally agree with the above suggestion by derekmski101

I'd also like to ask why some clock faces are alot dimmer than others e.g Steps Date vs Analog Date...shouldn't the date and steps be the same brightness on both displays? I love the analog face but it's just not bright enough, even if you set the devices brightness to maximum

I totally agree with decemberroses jogger

Can we have time, date, steps and heart rate in bright, bold easy to read numbers.  It would be good to read these without reaching for glasses first (as I don't wear them all the time).   The screen area is very big and there is a lot of wasted space.  As the display is not visible all the time can we have one that is really practical - it's not as though it's on show all the time and a fashion statement.

Forgot to add I upgraded from the original Charge and although a smaller screen it was very easy to read.

Clearly I am not the only Charge 3 user who is disappointed with the available clock faces! If my predominant need was to see the time, I would wear a cheap Timex. I want to see heartrate and steps easily while exercising! I could do that with my Charge 2, but it stopped working after 2 years of daily wear so I replaced it with a charge 3.

Fitbit should respond to the many complaints about the available clock faces by adding the old Charge 2 options at the very least. I find the moderator comments, where they exist, unhelpful and irritating at best. Please tell us when Fitbit is going to take action on this issue!

:hundred_points: How is this not resolved yet?! So annoying. Just went in to try to change the faces again, and see they added a “Charge 2 Retro” as shown in the attached screenshot, but it is NOT Selectable. It is idiotic that there is no option to display in the same view/face:

Date

Time

Steps

Heart Rate

Not having a date is beyond inconvenient and requires a look your mobile phone to check the date.

To get the retro Fitbit Charge 2 clock faces, you have to do an update on the Fitbit Charge 3.
Hope this helps.

@GailDB The new Charge 2 Retro clock face does not solve anything, as you still can't have all the relevant fields show up together. In my case, I need Time, Date, Steps and Stairs (see my other thread for a Charge 2 picture).

It's very disappointing that several months and multiple face updates after launch, they still haven't been able to bring back basic functionality from the previous generation. This is a clear case of Form over Function. They focused on creating stylish looking clock faces that look good for marketing, and completely ignored what real users actually care about.

Still hoping they will get their act together soon. It's just software, it's not hard...

I would love to see my favorite Blaze clock-face, shown below, resized for the Charge 3.  I like to see day, date, time, steps & HR on one screen.

Still no Date/Time/HR/Steps like the Charge 2...

Still no response from Fitbit on whether they plan to add this or not so people can make decisions on returning this downgraded model...

Good afternoon
I decided to call Fitbit tech support about this whole thing. I talked to a
tech support person and then to a supervisor. Both very nice, but they
could provide any other answer than that they know there are some issues
with the clock faces and that we should wait for a fix.
My comments to the supervisor, with the request to convey them to the
development team are these below:
(1) Something like this should have never happened if the Charge 3 is an
evolution of Charge 2, which obviously is not.
(2) The people that developed the clock faces did not have any supervision,
and did not even check the usability of what they developed...they had
never seen a Charge 2, I guess, for they delivered a set of clock faces
that are not as useful as the previous one. They have a set of time-centric
faces that are not good for an activity monitor.
(3) In addition to providing more clock faces and some with room for four
field (e.g. Time, Date, Hart Rate and steps) they need to work on the font
sizes of the fields that interest us all: the ones related to a fitness
monitor. The fonts used in Ch3 for the activity variables are a little too
small. So it is not only the missing fields is also the balance of the font
sizes.
(4) I am returning my Ch 3 and stay with CH 2 for as long as it lasts...

Good luck to the ones that will wait for Fitbit. My feeling is that if they
let something like this happen with and evolutionary product, they are not
paying attention to what matters. Developers running wild with no
supervision... Shame on them.
