More clock/watch faces for the Charge 3!

So, the Charge 3 is out and there is a huge let down:

There are only 5 clock/watch faces:

Come on Fitbit...at least include all the Charge 2 watch faces too. We all loved the Charge 2 watch face with the time, date and the highlighted feature (steps/heart rate etc.)

Whats missing:

- Faces with the actual DATE and DAY

- Faces with a DIGITAL SECONDS TIMER

Or to say it again, just include the Charge 2 watch faces. Thanks in advance.

I can't agree more with this. I've been extremely underwhelmed thus far with the available watch faces.

---Time in 24hr mode

---Date + day of week

---Battery %

---Steps

---Stairs (too easy to be lazy)

---Heart rate

Also, remember not too gray...better contrast improves visibility

Let me be one more small voice in this extensive list of "more clock faces needed" for the Charge 3.  Even my Charge HR had more options than this.  I definitely need to have a clock face that includes date and time with seconds.  Guess I'll have to return the Charge 3 and go back to using my Charge HR until you guys have some better options.

How soon is soon? If updates will soon include the date that was always there anyway, will it be within my 14 days return period, or should I just return it right now and go back to my far superior charge2??

Actually, how many days are left? I don't know what day it is!! Wait til I check on my charge2....

Fitbit Update 10/10/2018: We will be releasing more clock face options soon, including options that display the date. Please stay tuned. 

So far, we can conclude that "soon" is greater than an hour, greater than a day, and greater than a week.   Any one want to start a betting pool for greater than a month, greater than a year, and greater than the time remaining in the universe? 🙂

Personally, I'm very comfortable placing a bet on greater than a month and sorely tempted by greater than a year.  Or, Fitbit could end the suspense and simply share an approximate ETA.  Something like "No guarantees, but we are targeting INSERT DATE HERE".

BTW, there is at least one other thread almost as long as this one dedicated to the same topic.

As a software developer myself, I can only imagine the discussion leading up to the design "decision" for clock faces...

Checking the time?

Checking the date?

No, nobody cares about the date.

Checking the day of the week?

OK, now you're just being silly.

Seriously Fitbit, a modern digital watch without a date?  What were you guys thinking? You shouldn't need to put something this basic up for a vote.  It's not only unprofessional, it's embarrassing.

Better luck on the Charge 4, if the company lasts that long.  If you can't make the decisions yourself, you might consider a beta testing program.  Or, absent that, post some mockups and solicit feedback.  Either of these would have exposed the lack of thought involved in omitting the date from the display.  This very obvious problem should have been caught before release.

I agree with the post!  This is what I was thinking. I really liked the clock faces on the Charge 2.  I personally would like a version with the time, date and steps.

Our Charge 3 purchase is "return eligible" on Amazon to November 10.   For now I'm putting it back in the box and using the Charge 2.  What a colossal miss by Fitbit on the watch faces, apparently not knowing its own customers.  To go backward from the Charge 2 makes no sense, unless the company was rushing to get the device to market and cutting corners.  I hope, as others do, that watch-face remediation is being made a priority at Fitbit.  

On the other hand, our household's other recent watch purchase, a Versa, is really nice.

I too, would like to see the option of the Charge 3 to have the date added to the clock screen. I really miss that option. Please consider adding back so the people that continue to buy your products, continue to buy your products. Would be nice to be able to add soon to newly purchased Fitbit Charge 3. Thank you!

On 10/6 a moderator wanted to see how many other Charge 3 users are requesting to have the Charge 2 clockfaces added to the Charge 3.  How many did you want to see before deciding whether or not to make that change?

I add my voice to that growing crowd.  Please add the Charge 2 clock faces to the Charge 3.  Like MANY others I am constantly consulting my fitbit to get the date - which for some reason you all for some reason decided doesn't belong on the clock face.  Do we all have to go back to the Charge 2?

Still having a problem with the Charge 3 exercise feature.  This morning, I had to uninstall the Fitbit app in order to get the run timer to stop as I was not even able to exit the app.  Not a good solution.  This is the second time I had to do that.  I throws my average pace way off the mark.  The Fitbit allows me to Pause the timer and tells me to press the button again to terminate the activity.  That is not working!  Please fix this, so my running stats make sense and I don't have to uninstall the app.

 If/when more clock faces are made available to the Charge 3, please make sure all the fonts are the bright white or else, there simply no way to see it outdoors.

Yes! Please add more face options. I was so excited to get my Charge 3 yesterday but then was disappointed when I went through the setup process and saw the very limited display options. I need to have the date on my watch! And to not have the options of the data that is displayed is seems silly this late in the game. I think the functionality of the device should be more important than simple decorative displays.

Can we get a least one Fitbit charge 3 watch face that shows the date?  Right now I am not able to look at my brand new Fitbit to see what the current date is. The date is something I need to see at a glance more than my heartbeat.

Just had an update on the Fitbit App. Got all excited as I thought it might include new clock faces for 5he Charge 3. Unfortunately the answer is no it wasn't. So still waiting for these new or original Charge 2 clock faces to appear
