More clock/watch faces for the Charge 3!

So, the Charge 3 is out and there is a huge let down:

There are only 5 clock/watch faces:

Come on Fitbit...at least include all the Charge 2 watch faces too. We all loved the Charge 2 watch face with the time, date and the highlighted feature (steps/heart rate etc.)

Whats missing:

- Faces with the actual DATE and DAY

- Faces with a DIGITAL SECONDS TIMER

Or to say it again, just include the Charge 2 watch faces. Thanks in advance.

to the guy who is fed up and bought an Apple watch for 3x the price ... you should look at Fitbit Versa.  It has everything you want in a smart watch and it won't break the bank

Could be the company that he's dropping, rather than the device.

They don't communicate, don't listen properly, and generally treat users with contempt. 

The Charge 3 is a beautifully crafted piece of hardware that is let down by stupid marketing decisions and poor software.

If they consulted the users before release, or even spent an hour or so reading the forums, this would never have happened.

I think it is also possible that currently there are only 3 regions or fields available on the clock face, if so, it would explain the delays and the inability to replicate the Charge 2 faces easily. 

That would be a monumental cockup and be quite tricky to fix. 

I truly hope this is not the case.

I don’t think there’s an inability to add the charge 2 watch faces to charge 3. I think Fitbit didn’t do it intentionally because they want to differentiate between the 2.

Dave3208 yes u said it sooo good I feel exactly the same.About this and as well as adventure challenges.I get the run around even if u call them.They just tell u to go to here I feel just to get u off phone.No one can even answer the question either why did they take off New York challenge if they didn’t replace it with anything else.Im so glad I read here though about charge 3 I was thinking about upgrading to 3 but not now if they keep taking things away like clock faces and adventure challenges.thanks.

rgh101 there are no good clock faces yet.  I returned my Charge 3 today, despite liking the hardware. At this point, I would recommend the Ionic... has great clock face selections, good vibration strength,  built-in gps, you set the alarm on the device itself...and it just works!

Having had the latest update so we can now have the date, there are still a limited amount of options for clock faces, for example I like the analogue face with date, but would prefer steps to HR. Could Fitbit come up with a designer so we could design our own faces within the app? If not please put

more faces to choose from, it seems like minimal thought has been put into this area?

Due to the Charge 3 interface, the tracker simply isn’t usable for me.  I either can’t read the clock face due to small fonts and gray letters or the information displayed isn’t important to me.

The ‘HR Stat’ face is readable.  Nice, normal digital clock (the only one) and large bright lettering.  Replace the heart rate with steps or activity and there’s something I can use.  I find all of the other watch races to be useless and unreadable.  Maybe if the screen stayed on for more than a split second I could study the small fonts and figure it out.

I’m also pessimistic that anything will change.  All of the feature suggestions that might make a difference are sitting in a status of ‘reviewed by moderator’ with no indication that anyone at Fitbit cares.  The suggestion for ‘More clock/watch faces…’ has over 1.000 votes!  The ‘Screen Timeout’ suggestion has 169 votes and the ‘Adjust Font Size…’ suggestion has 113 votes.  Any of these could help but they’re all ‘under review’, meaning nothing is being done.

I’ve been a Fitbit user since the Fitbit One, but the Charge 3 is back in its box waiting to be returned. Maybe I’ll upgrade to the Apple Watch or a Garmin to get GPS and more smartwatch features.  I’m starting to get used to not looking at the screen, so maybe I’ll look at the Motiv or Oura rings? The latter is getting great reviews for sleep tracking.  Or maybe save some money with the Amazfit Cor which has dozens of great clock faces.  I like the Fitbit hardware, but there is competition out there.

@Rhyser thanks for info I’m going to check out those alternatives I still am happy with charge 2.How ever unhappy with adventure challenges now.U r correct on votes adventure challenges got just on one adventure challenge vote over 2,600.00 votes not including under other headings if they worded it some other way.this was at the beginning of the year and they said they were considering changing that now look we r almost done with this year and nothing new except them taking away New York without replacing it?That their and now I’m definitely not upgrading to 3 because it seems to me everyone is unhappy with it and waiting for change or returning it?Hopefully they don’t wait too long to change it u guys that have one and r unhappy I first voted on change for adventure challenges 2 years ago to switch them out at least once a year would be nice.look nothing yet.Im not going to give Fitbit anymore of my money until they change.I feel like they have horrible people running Fitbit in the last year or so.I might have to do what my dad did get an Apple Watch and use my Fitbit for sleep because my dad says he hasn’t found anything better for sleep yet out there.Does anyone else know of another brand that’s waterproof has floors I like floors,gps and like charge 2 with sleep stages?oh forgot that syncs good too I can’t afford to mess up with syncing issues I do StepBet games where I could loose my money if I have syncing issues my charge 2 never has had syncing issues.Thanks anyone have suggestions let me know bye 👋

Improving the display design should be pretty simple.

1) Make the fonts large enough to read (Charge 2 was ok, but barely - Charge 3 requires a magnifying glass).  If you get rid of the fancy graphics there is plenty of room for the important data.  Ironic that I bought Charge 3 partly based on larger screen and then find it is unreadable.

2) Don't dim data items on the screen.  These devices are used outdoors in the sun and the dim display items are completely unreadable.

Really hoping these changes get made as this device is largely unusable in its current state.

I agree can not read heart rate on screen with date on way to small.

We give feedback but it should be 2 way why don't they explain what is possible or not and why, and timescale seems really odd.

It is disappointing to invest in a new product but then feel that options have been downgraded.

It's the new quantum technology, they may, or may not be taking any notice. 
But we will not know until they tell us.

I'm wondering if this "We look forward to hearing what other community members think"  is some sort of secret code that means, "We need 10,000 votes/complaints before we even look at this". 

If so, I really wish they would tell us.

Amazon no longer allows reviews of the Fitbit Charge 3, so Fitbit has taken notice.   I have 30 days left on my return window so hoping change occurs in that time.  In the meantime Charge HR2 prices are getting lower and lower.

@oucesar yes u r correct but not sure if they can fix it or have to make another one?the timeline to fix stuff isn’t good.Why havent they added more adventure challenges yet?like they said they were doing at the beginning of this year got enough votes.However they said they didn’t know when or how long it would take?So what do they do instead take New York adventure away I thought great they need to take away to add new?I guess I was wrong?Nothing new yet just minus one adventure game.then when u call to ask no one on phone even knows that New York was taken away and why they always put u on hold to ask someone else.come back on saying go to this and post your comments here.So the adventure games not changing out so often so u don’t get bored and Fitbit charge 3 face is the only 2 things that make me mad 😡.So I hope they change it on both real soon?when I first voted on adventures that was a year in a half ago.U think they might correct face on 3 sooner?

@daveg208 in previous post adventure challenges got well over 2,600.00 that’s just on one post excluding other reworded posts still no change yet on that.in a few months it will be one year for them saying that they will add more adventure challenges.They said they had no idea when though?

@debgummIt seems the FitBit management don't care about users aside from them selling stuff to us.

As long as we buy their products, why should they ?

They are getting paid based on sales.

Charge 3s are selling based on good hardware specs - non of the reviews I've seen so far have mentioned the many software shortcomings so it's all good as far as selling is concerned.

My main issue is the total lack of communication from anyone who knows what is happening.  The moderators and support staff are the only ones we can interact with, and they don't know any more than we do.

Possibly they do know what's happening but have a gagging order applied.

I have emailed and spoken to support and all I have received is the usual "thank you for your call/email ... Very important to us ... Need to investigate ... We realise the importance ...  ", And so on and so forth.  Basically nothing said.
