More condition/symptoms on Menstrual Health Tracking

Some obvious ones I don’t feel are listed in the conditions, things I like to note during my cycle.  A big one which a lot of women suffer with like Bloating and sleep deprivation.

Some ideas that could be listed in conditions

bloated (RELEASED!)

sleep deprivation (vote here!)

gassy/windy

back pain (vote here!)

increased appetite (vote here!)

high stress (RELEASED!)

high energy (RELEASED!)

dizziness (vote here!)

decrease appetite (vote here!)

clotting

constipation / diarrhea (vote here!)

PMS (vote here!)

cravings (vote here!)

HCG levels

anxiety (RELEASED!)

the list im sure goes on..

maybe there could be a bit that allows you to write in a notes on whichever days the individual needs. Every woman cycle changes and being able to write a note when those changes happened would be good.

I think a pregnancy mode is definitely needed also where women can log stages in their pregnancy and also make notes where needed.  And then I think maybe something for after pregnancy breastfeeding etc.

I agree, a place to put a personal note under the symptom. For example, have categories of symptoms such as physical and mood, and then options under them such as temperature, headache, cramps, dizziness, etc. and irritability, insomnia, etc perhaps or even just a way to make it more personal for each person's account.

I agree.  I have used the Kindara app and it allows you to add custom data (I added symptoms such as moody, bloated, exercise, alcohol, stress, libido, etc), a notes section, and a place to add your temperature.

I think it would be useful especially in the female heath tracker of there was a mood tracker and a notes section so we can supply more detailed information about what is going on.

I am disappointed by how basic Fitbit is in relation to women's cycles.

Fitbit needs to improve this and in the meantime at least allow us to add our own symptoms.

I don't understand why they won't let you just add a custom behavior/stimulus/event to track, like you can add custom foods to the calorie tracker. That seems like it would solve a lot.

I completely agree. I had a previous period app that allowed me to add my own symptoms and also keep notes about my day. It was amazing that I personalize it in that way. When I heard that Fitbit was adding a period tracker I was so excited. I was immediately disappointed when I started to use it because it lacks the ability for me to make it more personal. I would love to see this feature updated.

Absolutely agree with all the comments. My sole purpose in coming to this message board was to identify a major miss with the menustrual tracker. There’s just not enough symptoms to identify with and no option to add new ones in. At this point, it is the only reason I won’t be switching over from the tracker I’m currently using (Flo). Surprisingly, of all the trackers I’ve used over the years (Period Tracker, Flo, Clue to name a few) it’s the only one that has such a limited menu, which tells me more homework is needed on this new feature. So, thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback!

Yes! A way to make a short note and more period symptoms because bloating is different than cramps. And I need things like vaginal dryness (for when there is no discharge and it's like the Sahara down there) and night sweats. For those of us in our forties please.

I completely agree! I have been trying to track fatigue and mood symptoms to see if there is a pattern and it would be very helpful especially if you could add the option to select tired and moody/angry or even emotional/weepy.

Hi everyone thanks for sharing this suggestion. This is being discussed although I do not have a firm commitment or timeline at the moment. Do continue to vote for this feature suggestion whilst it’s under consideration.

Please note that if something is under consideration and chosen for development, it can be a while until it's released or until I have any news to share. Please watch this space for any updates! Thanks for your patience.

Also, this whole customer service model is TERRIBLE. "Keep asking us, and maybe one day in the future, if you can rally enough strangers to upvote it, we might take your comments and suggestions!" It's ridiculous that we not only have to create a profile to submit a customer service request, feature suggestion, or report an issue - but that we also have to continually repeat ourselves and monitor threads to push for the possibility of being taken seriously. SO STUPID.

I 100% agree that there needs to be a "add your own symptom"/"notes" section per a day on the tracker. At least that way people could customize it the way they need. I'm glad to see Fitbit is supporting this feature but there is definitely a long way to go to be completely useful.

Like @Gabri33 I too have PCOS and my symptoms vary SO MUCH that I'm suppose to keep a record to share with my PCP. Unfortunately the Fitbit period tracker is missing a LOT of these type of symptoms. If Fitbit incorporated a more user friendly customization then I will continue to use it but otherwise I'm just going to go back to period tracker.

I just bought the Fitbit Versa and a big reason I wanted it was because of the female health tracking. I was slightly disappointed with the lack of symptoms and other options to chose when tracking. The tracker I was using before has almost double the symptom choices as well as more cervical fluid options. It's also a lot of info to look at on the screen when you can see several cycles at once. I would prefer the option to have several view options.

Depression is a common but serious mood disorder. Depression symptoms can interfere with your ability to work, sleep, study, eat, and enjoy your life. Although the causes of depression are still being studied, current research suggests that depression is caused by a combination of genetic, biological, environmental, and psychological factors. Most people with depression need treatment to feel better.

Surprised this was created by women when it is so limited to what can be entered.

Agree with many of the suggestions. I especially like how Prophet1022 (page 1) organized them. It definitely needs more conditions. For me, exhaustion associated with my cycle is life-altering. I'd like to be able to add that to my tracking!

Having lots of detail comes in handy when I have a dr appointment and they go through all the questions.

I think the new feature of women’s health is amazing! I just miss an option to add, for example, when we put our hormonal ring or patch and when we take it off. It would be great to have a reminder the day before to put it on or to take it off.

Me too!
Certainly the communication I received during the development phase of the tracker was from a young guy not mature women. At least his name and profile picture indicated that!
Really - is this misleading media hype? Surely a team of women wouldn’t have produced such a poor app for our female needs?

I just tried to use the tracker and it is missing some very key things like diarrhea. I actually take my pills with no breaks so I don’t have a period to track at the moment, but this had the potential to help my doctors and myself track migraines and diarrhea in conjunction with food, sleep, and exercise all in one place without it being so much of a chore. I think this app has serious potential for that sort of user friendly health tracking beyond periods and fertility, but it needs some more symptoms.

If it helps, even when I had my period it was consistent and light and I didn’t have too many symptoms or problems. But in my family bloating and severe diarrhea were always a sign you had less than 24 hours until it started. I think that’s just a huge main symptom that’s been left out even if we’re only talking periods.

Please add water retention; I am really struggling with this during my cycle!

I would like to help make advances on the period portion of the app. I want to add a tool so you can type in any moods, feelings, notes on what products I use, and etc. I have discussed it with many other Fitbit users and they agree.
