More condition/symptoms on Menstrual Health Tracking

Some obvious ones I don’t feel are listed in the conditions, things I like to note during my cycle.  A big one which a lot of women suffer with like Bloating and sleep deprivation.

Some ideas that could be listed in conditions

bloated (RELEASED!)

sleep deprivation (vote here!)

gassy/windy

back pain (vote here!)

increased appetite (vote here!)

high stress (RELEASED!)

high energy (RELEASED!)

dizziness (vote here!)

decrease appetite (vote here!)

clotting

constipation / diarrhea (vote here!)

PMS (vote here!)

cravings (vote here!)

HCG levels

anxiety (RELEASED!)

the list im sure goes on..

maybe there could be a bit that allows you to write in a notes on whichever days the individual needs. Every woman cycle changes and being able to write a note when those changes happened would be good.

I think a pregnancy mode is definitely needed also where women can log stages in their pregnancy and also make notes where needed.  And then I think maybe something for after pregnancy breastfeeding etc.

I have downloaded an app called TnS Lite which has options to log all sorts of things including pain severity, medication. You can customise to choose what you want to monitor (enter your own) and how you want it to show the choices. We all need to monitor different things but do we need it to be on Fitbit? It’s convenient if it’s all in one place but maybe unrealistic as these are not really what Fitbit was set up for.

There was a lot of hype around the female tracking feature when it came
out. I never even considered it until it was released. Why have it at all
if it’s not meant to be a major feature of the product in the first place?

They should either build upon on is so that it can at least offer the users
more options or just not have it at all and just put more resources and
improve the overall app. If there are some 3rd party developers that can
make a plugin for the app that would be great. Many folks have enough apps
to keep track of so it is nice to have this consolidated in an app I check
a few times a day.

As a programmer, I know things like this can be a challenge but Fitbit has
an opportunity to really push the envelope.

Agreed - it’s much more useful to have it in one place. So if they’re going to introduce a feature like that, that’s outside the fitness scope of the product, then they should put effort in to make it more useful or not bother.

As a heavy user of the Fitbit mobile app I was super excited when they integrated a Female Health Tracker. I had been using other apps for this and it's so much easier to have everything in the same place. However, although I like Fitbit's "focus on the essential" approach, I feel they could be a bit more flexible when it comes to tracking daily symptoms. In some other female health apps I've tried, it is true that by trying to cover absolutely all the possible symptoms a woman could feel, the amount of information and options is a bit overwhelming. I have also read some suggestions of other female Fitbit users about adding emotions to the daily log. My suggestion would be rather than an adding more options, and risking a cluttered interface, why not add a notes field where we can just type in any other symptom we would like to monitor in addition to the ones already suggested? Menstrual cycles are very specific to each individual, so I think having the option to write down whatever we want will create a more personalised experience.

there are apps out there such as FLO that allow women to log extensive details as well as make a personal note.  My wife had noticed that there are only a few limited options for symptoms, feelings, etc.  Is there anyway to duplicate that of a FLO app?  It seems like the bones are there, it would be a simple update to include more options - or even a "notes" tab where they could log a personal note for that given day.

I fully support and hope that the female tracker gets an update. I am currently pregnant and find no use for it now since I can't use it. It's also hard for me to move the circles to the right days before.

Please update this. Like sooner rather than later.

For female health tracking- there are just so many missing symptoms- it’s so surprising.   How can an entire category  be omitted from the design of this feature?

-mood symptoms (anxiety, irritability, sadness, etc)

-physical symptoms (joint pain, bloating, back pain, fatigue, digestive issues, mid-cycle pain, etc)

- notes queue (to add comments)

Premenopausal symptoms would be helpful (hot flashes and night sweats), as well as noting when pregnant.

Hi, love the female health section but it would be so much better if we could log our own symptoms and other events.

I like the fact that the Fitbit app allows you to track your period but I feel it is missing some things. It is missing some symptoms you may feel while on your period as well as a mood tracker. I would also like to see an option for tracking taking birth control and a notes sections in order to write your thoughts from that day. Fitbit is something I got to help track my health I and feel this is something lacking in terms of that.

This would be incredibly beneficial to help women who are suffering from Endometriosis and are struggling to get a diagnosis.

If you can have a tangible way of logging, maybe symptoms would be taken more seriously and not take years for diagnosis and treatment to happen.

Also, if there was say, a keyword tracker algorithm like "heavy bleeding, stabbing pain" etc. could definitely help as well

There's only one thing I think Fitbit can improve on... That's the female health tracker. In the symptoms section, it should include: breast tenderness/pain, mood swings, cravings, fatigue, and weight gain.

Absolutely this!

I wish there was an option to log 'abnormally hungry/craving all the carbs' because that's one of my major symptoms.

I think there should be a more permanent option for the Flight Game on the fitbit charge 2. If you reach your goals for the day the game should automatically show up once it's been synced to the app. Its complicated trying to figure out if it's going to show up once you've met your goals after two days.

Sorry I wrote that in the wrong spot. I'm still trying to figure out this website but I comely agree that the symptoms are very vague and should be updated.

Completely agree!  I'd really like to be able to track mood swings.

Agree!  I think a mood tracker would be a great addition.

Being able to see your cycle on the weight log chart would be helpful. So can see patterns in weight fluctuations if just cycle related

Yeah I agree. The period tracking is a great idea but it only makes sense for me if I can actually use it for replacing my current period app, and it just doesn’t have enough features for that.

Especially tracking birth control and wether you‘ve taken your antibaby pill and such, just like in the Clue app, would be very helpful.
