More condition/symptoms on Menstrual Health Tracking

Some obvious ones I don’t feel are listed in the conditions, things I like to note during my cycle.  A big one which a lot of women suffer with like Bloating and sleep deprivation.

Some ideas that could be listed in conditions

bloated (RELEASED!)

sleep deprivation (vote here!)

gassy/windy

back pain (vote here!)

increased appetite (vote here!)

high stress (RELEASED!)

high energy (RELEASED!)

dizziness (vote here!)

decrease appetite (vote here!)

clotting

constipation / diarrhea (vote here!)

PMS (vote here!)

cravings (vote here!)

HCG levels

anxiety (RELEASED!)

the list im sure goes on..

maybe there could be a bit that allows you to write in a notes on whichever days the individual needs. Every woman cycle changes and being able to write a note when those changes happened would be good.

I think a pregnancy mode is definitely needed also where women can log stages in their pregnancy and also make notes where needed.  And then I think maybe something for after pregnancy breastfeeding etc.

Adding more options for symptoms including back pain and even an other where you can list symptoms.

Yes!  Please add additional symptoms.  I wanted to put another plug in for night sweats and bloating.  I would really like to track these!

With as many updates and fixes are done to this app on a such a frequent basis, I’d hope this would be a priority. There’s lots of voices here that have given so many symptoms that can be added. Because there are SO MANY symptoms that vary person to person, being able to create custom tiles would be awesome. Thanks

Hi @Lorig704, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, this feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is under consideration.

Being able to add notes would be great too. When it comes to migraine "headaches", the type can vary a lot. I worry that I would pass my chronic migraines to my kids so I think the calendar should have a unisex option too. Adding moods & notes is important for any gender. As a parent, that's a great tool to have too. Also a side note, the intercourse part should add things like sex-drive/moods. People can choose to be celibate for many reasons and that doesn't mean they are not affected by their hormones.

It would be wonderful to have a much wider range of options for tracking how you feel in the lead up, during and after a period. I feel the options at the moment are so limited I don't use the function, but if there were a wider range, I would love to use this aspect of the app. These could either be by increasing the number of established buttons or there could be the alternative of inputing your own information and text.

So I noticed fitbit added Moods and Bloating to the list of symptoms, but I personally still don't think it's enough. You can now say how your mood is -anxious, stressed, happy, sad, tired etc, but you still can't say symptoms such as...

nausea (Not the same as the sick symptom)

back pain

increased or decreased appetite

dizziness

body or joint aches

vision changes, etc

I'd still like to see an option of severity of symptoms -as in light cramps, or very painful cramps -as this is different for every one.  (I have a friend who gets minor-no cramps, one who can take a nap and wake up with the cramps gone, and then there's me who has bad painful cramps the whole period.)

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing and voting on this suggestion. We’re happy to let you know that many of these have been released on the latest version of the mobile app, version 2.85. Now, when you open Female Health Tracking and go to log a symptom, you will see the addition of 'bloating' as requested and now moods including happy, energized, fatigued, anxious, stressed and sad. Although this hasn't addressed the original list in its entirety, hopefully the moods cover anxiety, high energy, high stress, depression, sleep deprivation.

You can find out more about logging symptoms and Female Health Tracking here@lexi83, as you've submitted a high quality suggestion that was released, you will now receive a higher voting weight worth 5 votes. Thank you for sharing your ideas and enthusiasm with the community. Please enjoy the new feature!

Based on a recent community poll, I've added new feature suggestions for 3 of the top voted remaining symptoms that were not released:

If you don't see one you want, please create a new feature suggestion with that specific symptom or you can vote on add personalized conditions or symptoms to cycle.

I love the added features for mood.  Thank you!  Can we add one for irritable or short-tempered or impatient?  That seems to be a type of day I have that I'd like to track.

I’d like to see  gassy/windy, back pain, increased appetite, dizziness, decrease appetite, constipation, and hot flashes... especially hot flashes!

I really want to see nausea, and dizziness. They are NOT the same as being sick the sick option is showing someone with a fever. Nausea is Not the same as that.

I think the biggest and most helpful for the masses would be to give use the ability to add custom comments and notes to each day.

Thanks @LauraR.@BahamasGirl365@gemmich@birthdaypanda and @Epohjul17. I'll pass this onto the team. The poll results so far indicate PMS and dizziness as other symptoms to track. If any of you want to create new suggestions of your own to track what you want, please do and let me know and I'll link to them in this thread at the top.

Thanks for the latest changes and the mood additions. I like the changes to the trends too.

I vote for PMS and constipation for period symptoms.

A menopausal symptom tracker should be easy to integrate too and I vote for hot flushes and brain fog to be included.

Hi,

Loving the feature but I would also like to add more info, in particular, basal temp throughout the cycle. I also think fluid type needs expanding to include those relevant to ovulation. I would also like to further confirm ovulation not only with temp changes but by recording LH test positive or negative. I think with slight improvements the app will be comparable to any fertility monitor app, which are also used in reverse to be effective as a contraception method (most apps claiming 93%). Maybe some competitor analysis is needed to further improve the function.

Good effort so far.

I’d also like to add more than just headache. Sometimes I get just a headache, other months I get a migraine.

Thanks for working on this!

I've been using the female health tracker on my charge2 and now versa. It has been a bit glitchy but seems better now and I've got used to adding and being prepared for my periods much better.

My issue is that the detail you can add is insufficient. For example the 'fluids' and 'symptoms' are so limited as to not really provide enough personalisation, for example my symptoms should include extras like: low mood, high mood, vivid dreams, high temps, extra sweating, muscle cramps, bloating, fatigue etc etc.

There should be customisable options for the fluids and symptoms list otherwise there's not much point logging them, the options currently are too obvious, I know I will have cramps on first day or two...but what I'm interested in is whether I get more fatigue and bloating at particular times or in conjunction with other health insights such as high mood because of increased exercise or more acne during winter...those details are useful for me to catalogue and follow up.

I think the female health tile is a step forward but it's rather cursory and it would be great if you could either provide a longer list or add a customisable item to the list where we can write our own symptoms or have a selection set like where you pick the exercises you want to access.

I don't think PMS is a good "symptom" option because it's a syndrome...not a symptom itself. The majority of the condition/symptom/mood requests from previous comments on this thread are actually symptoms associated with Premenstrual Syndrome. Perhaps it would make sense to name the category "PMS Symptoms" and then have the different symptom options for women to select?

I must say I agree with @BahamasGirl365 and her opinion about the "sick" symptom because the little image of a person with a thermometer presumably having a fever is not the type of sick I commonly feel (nauseous or just an upset tummy). I guess the image is a bit misleading and excludes other types of sickness.

Ranking the symptoms you listed @LizFitbit, I would request:

1. Increased appetite/cravings (for me, these kinda go hand in hand lol)

2. Gassy/windy

3. Back pain (100% different from cramps and would be awesome to have listed separately!)

4. Increased libido (this wasn't one you listed, but I saw it somewhere else in this thread I think)

I tried finding individual threads for those symptoms, but I couldn't find anything...I'm new to the community so maybe I wasn't searching correctly? If there's another place I should share my feedback, please share @LizFitbit and thank you!

Hi, I know you guys employ women. So why are there only 6 symptoms to choose from? Do you know that is important to also track the amount of clogs a woman passes? That those clots can indicate a serious issue? Or if she is experiencing hot flashes? Or the dozen of other symptoms a girl or woman might have. Tracking every symptom is important especially to girls just starting their cycles and for women who may be approaching  menopause .

So here is my challenge for you,  Survey your female users and your female staff and see just how much you guys missed. Also let's have a woman developer ( if you don't have one you are already failing half of your users) work on this, because only a woman who has experienced these thing will get their importantance. Thanks on behalf of all women users

The period tracker is good but still some key symptoms missing:

  • Night sweats
  • Extreme fatigue (I feel like this is a symptom and not a mood)
  • Depressed (mood)
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation

I would like to suggest adding a section to the female health and period tracking feature where the user can indicate whether they have a condition that may effect a monthly period and its symptoms, such as PCOS or endometriosis.

I would also like to see additional symptoms added for nausea and sleepless ness or at least the ability to add personal notes to a day on the calendar to track symptoms that may not be available.

I Love the additional features to female health tracking! Thank you! Suggestions...

Symptom: backache, and I second the request for "cravings"

Mood: short fuse  🙂 or something that'll help me track when I'm struggling to not be grumpy. And how to capture "cries easily" - it's not sad... But how to succinctly name it, I don't know.
