Much larger display of heart rate on Charge 3.

For times when heart rate is paramount, during exercise, the read out needs to be EASILY visible. There should be a "home" screen choice that has the readout MUCH larger...so as to not need reading glasses!  Unfortunately, my Charge 3 may be returned unless this option is available.

Hi @tennisguy2, thanks for sharing your suggestion. It looks like a good idea for a lot of users having similar issues like you.  We look forward to hearing what other community members think.

I'm quite nearsighted. I don't need glasses for reading at all even at almost 60 years of age. I'd like to see larger font options in addition to more face options and combinations for those of us who use our Fitbit as a fitness device.

An audible cue would be better, but as an interim solution, this would do.

Interesting idea....would it sound at a pre-set heart rate, or are you suggesting a sound per beat, which would seem a bit much.
For either, what about a vibration instead of a sound?

tennisguy2, I like to run in a heart rate zone.  so whether it’s a vibration, or audio, through the app or visual, or on the fitbit screen that stays on long enough to read will I’m running, I don’t mind.

I agree heart rate needs to be bigger.  I use my device for swimming and I can not wear my reading glasses while doing laps.  I have no idea what my heart rate is while swimming.  This is also a problem when doing other exercises with my glasses off.  Please add a clock face with the heart rate info larger.

@northernlyn I also use the Charge 3 for lap swimming. I had no trouble seeing the display since I'm nearsighted. I started wearing my contact lenses under my googles and now I can't read the display. A slightly larger font option would be very helpful while I have on my contacts, for swimming and everything else.

Also I noticed something and wonder if you have noticed the same. When I swim, I always begin and end on the same side of the pool. This means my pool lengths swam should always be an even number. I have just noticed when looking at the details that 2/3rds of my swims give me an odd lengths of the pool swam. So this makes it clear it's not counting correctly. I admit I've only swam 6 times - so that is 4 times it has been wrong. It may be close, but it's wrong. Have your lengths always been even, assuming you start and stop on the same side of the pool?

When I swim 60 lengths the Charge 3 says I swam any where from 61 to 63
lengths. So yes I also observed that the length counts are close but not
100% accurate. The time is very accurate however. One thing I noticed
is that I swim in a 25 yard pool but the Charge display says 25 m. I can
not find out how you change that setting. It does display my total
distance in yards however and that does not equal 25 times the lengths swam.

Hi @northernlyn  I can help you change your settings to yards instead of meters. Use your finger to scroll across your main Charge 3 screen. When you see "exercise" tap it. Then scroll across until the see "swim" as the exercise showing. Scroll UP without touching the up arrow because that will start your activity manually. You want to scroll. You will see "pool length" and "unit". Length should be set at 25 by default. My Charge 3 had "units" set to meters by default. Just touch or tap "units" and it will flip between meters and yards. Just leave it at yards when it shows and then push the button on the left side of your charge 3 until you get back to the main face of your tracker.

Today I let it track my swim automatically. Again it gave me an odd total. It is close...but wrong. I don't count my laps because I lose track. But I know I swim just over a mile an hour and that is about what I get every time. It just has to be off by 25 yards one way or the other.

Could you please add a clock face that shows the heart rate in large font? You make a nice selection of clock faces available; however, in all cases, the heart rate display is in tiny, unreadable font. I'd like to see it MUCH larger - larger than the time font - and if you can get rid to the distracting flashing heart icon to make space that would be great. Thanks.

I agree.  I was hoping to find a way to get the heart rate in a big font.  When I swim, I want to be able to quickly read it and all faces have the heart rate too small.
