Natural alarm not using Fitbit on wrist

I am a versa 2 fitbit owner who cannot sleep with any jewellery including watches on me.
I would like to use the Versa 2 to wake me up naturally. Could you not do this with the device placed nearby detecting sleeping stage (using AI algorithms) to detect pre-waking?
