New updated clip on tracker

I have had a One for 3 years now and love it but am a bit disappointed that some features are not available on it (e.g.. active mins per hour etc). Please can you make a new clip on fitbit with more features. I really don't want a wrist one at all.

I totally agree.  I already have an Apple Watch (received as a gift) and will not replace it anytime soon.  I love having the FitBit One hanging out in my pocket.  Please reconsider and bring this item back!

Have just bought an omron to keep myself going while fitbit product development makes up its mind whether it is wants the clip-on tracker customer segment.

Sounds like it is time for the

TWO

Folks want the wrist-free features of the One, especially stairs, steps, sleep, weight, exercise
and to these we want to add
an altimeter, water-proofing,
and I wouldn’t mind a reminder to get up and walk, and a measure of REM sleep.

Helen s, tell me more! Does  the Omron count stairs? Is it a clip-on device?

Give me a tracker that clips on and not the Zip.  I want all the features that were included in the One.  You have horribly upset me as I am addicted to my One.  I don't care if it costs more.  I will not wear it on my wrist and the Zip is so inferior.  My sister and I compete 24/7.  I got a smart phone just so I could use the Fitbit app.  I don't know how to tell you how upset so many of us are.  I just found out and am trying to control my sadness.  I think I will go to your facebook page and say a bunch of stuff and post everything. Fitbit are you really serious!!!!

The omron is a simple but accurate clip on pedometer which counts steps, distance, energy expended. It is cheap and given that i have lost my fitbit one, it is better than nothing!

Thanks. I'll have to keep looking. My One still works but when it goes I'd like a replacement that counts floors. The search continues... Unless Fitbit brings back  our One.

The company doesn’t give ONE Fitbit about the core base of users.

Unfortunately it seems like the fitbit one was a unique product in being a clip on tracker which counted stairs.  There seem to be other devices which are just as accurate for measuring on the flat such as the omron pedometer made by the healthcare companies (my mum has an omron blood pressure monitor). In our family three of us have fitbit ones and none of us will replace with a wrist based device.

I'm beginning to agree with you. Rather than give us what we really want,
they want us to use what they choose to provide. As if they know our mind
better than we do. Such a shame.

I am going to have to get online and see what works with the MyFitnessPal
app. I am diabetic and this app is perfect for tracking carbs and sugar.

Dear Fitbit, I don't want to wear your device! I want to carry it in my pocket. Surely, I can't be the only one. Why are you abandoning us? My kids gave me a Fitbit one years ago (5 - 10) and it still works fine. I carry it in my pocket during the day and clip it to my pjs at night. My only issue is that the software sometimes abandons me and the life of the clip-on case is much less than the device itself. My device will eventually wear out so please keep making the one or something equivalent. I don't wear a watch and never will.

It’d be great to see the One upgraded. Unfortunately my friends with the wrist trackers get 50-75% less steps when out  compared to me. The One has been great in battery power, features, and portability. It’s also more reliable with its steps and accelerometer compared to my friends with the wrist trackers.

I had a Fitbit One for years.  Actually, my One still has a lot of life and I am about to charge it.

I bought a Flex 2 because my sister recommended it. I bought it on Amazon. I have had it for about two weeks and I absolutely DISLIKE it so much that I am going to see if Amazon will take it back.

I get most of my steps pushing a stroller.  However, if you are not moving your arms, you do not get steps with the Flex2.  This is absurd.  I have been tucking it into my sock so that I can get the steps, but that is a ridiculous thing to have to do.  I tried just clipping it onto my tank top strap to see if it would work, and the steps were way off.

Why did you discontinue the One?  I loved the stair flight counter and the fact that I didn't have to wear anything around my wrist.  PLUS, the battery lasts so much longer.

You need to create something that works for parents who push strollers and for those of us who don't want wrist accessories.  BRING BACK THE ONE!!!

I hope this suggestion is not falling on deaf ears.  Many of us do not want a fitness tracker worn around our wrists--and as the original poster mentioned, some of us are not allowed to due to hygiene rules at our jobs.

Please, consider creating a fitness tracker that is as accurate as the One was and can be clipped onto our clothing or worn in our pockets.  (My friend created a cute clip for my Flex2 but it is NOT accurate if it's not worn on your arms--in fact, even when it is worn on our arms, if we're not moving our arms while walking (like when pushing a stroller), we do not get steps. Likewise, we can move our arms up and down and get steps without moving our feet.  It is NOT the same. 😞 I'm so disappointed.  Fitbit from the beginning had the ABSOLUTE BEST customer service, but now they don't seem to care. 😞

Same here. I had to go to the Zip because the abandoned the One. I don't
know why they can't figure out that wearing something on the wrist or
around the neck does not fit into everybody's lifestyle.

They want us to wear it on our wrist so it’s more visible, that way we can do free advertising for them. If the tracker is just clipped to our pocket nobody can see it.

In my opinion, it's not what they want, but what potential customers want.

They need to realize not all customers are the same. I don’t want to pay double the cost for a less reliable tracker. I don’t wear a watch as it is. I value the reliability of my One - use it on hikes to track mileage and elevation gain. If I were to change to a wrist device I’d not get credit for most of my activity. It’s unfortunate to see this new trend. I’ve had a Fitbit since it was first developed. Are there other products out with the same features/style as the One?

The company has moved on past the wearable trackers and told us very loudly -- in their silence. Frankly, they do not care about what we want. Unfortunately, there is not an acceptable replacement that has all the features of the ONE in a nice device. My ONE is hanging on for now but I fear it is well into the twilight of its life.

Sad but true. I will keep looking for a alternative to the One. Surely
someone out there will get the message.
