I have had a One for 3 years now and love it but am a bit disappointed that some features are not available on it (e.g.. active mins per hour etc). Please can you make a new clip on fitbit with more features. I really don't want a wrist one at all.
Thank you for your response. I did buy new third party clips on Amazon. They seem a little flimsy, but at least they have the tip! And since the proprietary, Fitbit manufactured clips are no longer available, I can't compare prices. But the Amazon ones did seem reasonable.
My third party Amazon clip holder has lasted way longer than my fitbit holders did. I have worn a One for 4 years- and lost it countless times. Now that it is irreplaceable, I REALLY cherish it and it sits in a nice bright blue clip that is much easier to see under cupboards!
1) Does anyone know if the Apple Watch tracks sleep? ( I hear they have come down in price- now not much more than an ebay One:) )
2) Why aren't my thumbs coming up? I used to be able to vote. Now they sometimes appear next to one post in a thread- but most times I can't find any "vote" button. -And I REALLY want to vote for posts if it will help BRING BACK AN UPDATED ONE!
@JEH1 The Apple watch does track sleep, but no one I know with a watch ever uses it to track sleep, as the battery just doesn't last long enough to wear all day then all night. So most people (I've talked to) charge theirs at night.
One of the reasons I prefer my One, is it's more comfortable to sleep with than a wristband (even though the One CAME with a sleep wristband I never used it that way). I did get used to wearing my Charge2 though, and love the auto-sleep tracking. I also use an app on my phone (which works while it's plugged in charging on the nightstand) and I really like it for sleep tracking. It's called SleepCycle. I think it was free.
New Fitbit released everyone. I saw one headline about Fitbit getting back to their roots. Yay! A clip tracker . . . .
No . . . back to their roots my shiny arse. It's another wrist tracker, the Charge 3.
I went and looked it up. The first FOUR trackers Fitbit made from 2009 - 2012 were all clip style (Classic, Ultra, One, Zip). The first wrist model was the Flex in 2013. So why don't you actually get back to your roots, Fitbit, and put out a new clip tracker.
I do love the suite of features that the Charge 3 had with it. But I would only wear it on my wrist for sleeping and for swimming.
I looked up the charge 3 to see how it compared with the charge 2. Unfortunately, the 3 even larger than the 2—and the 2 is too big for my wrist. If Fitbit creates a clip-on option for the 3 (hint, hint), I would consider it.
Yes @Fitbit I would definitely consider the charge 3 with a clip option for wearing centrally eg. on a belt, pocket or bra strap. Please consider clip options and setting for those of us who don't want to wear a wrist tracker all the time or at all! All it involves from your company is a nice secure clip and maybe a software tweak to enable the tracker to be more accurate when worn as a clip.

Actually, the Charge 2 is just as accurate as the One, for both steps and floors, when worn on my bra rather than on my wrist. (When worn on my wrist it is inaccurate)
I’ve had my Charge 2 for a week, since I lost my One and was forced to switch or go without. I’d also agree my step count with the Charge worn in a clip (Garmin Vivofit clip) is comparable to what I’d expect from my One.
I’ve never worn it on my wrist, but I trust the numerous reports from people on the forum who have racked up thousands of steps knitting, or doing other repetitive motions with their hands. We can add that to the list of things FitBit hasn’t addressed, though it’s already been brought up several times here!
Still, I would agree: Offer a better clip on product. Or bring back the One.
Not sure what @Fitbit does not get about people wanting a One. Just look on Ebay and Amazon. They are going for a couple hundred dollars and used ones are over $150. Fitbit is missing out on a lot of money, a huge customer base and following as well as great word of mouth advertising. Cannot believe they are staying in business with inferior products that don't count steps if you are pushing a stroller, carriage, lawn mower, etc. Not to mention all of the people that walk and text. As a loyal One user, I wear mine every day. I would never wear a wrist based tracker and then you have all of the other people that can not or will not wear one. Get it together guys before some other company comes out with a clip on tracker that everyone turns to when their One stops working. As for me, when mine goes, I am done with Fitbit.
Yes, and to add insult to injury, they are pushing for pre-orders for their new wrist tracker (Charge 3) that provides you with Smart Phone notifications (like I need that!). When my Fitbit clip on dies I will, also, be leaving Fitbit for good. They obviously do need my business.
I bought a zip after I lost my One at the Airport. Unfortunately I have already lost my Zip since it did not keep track of sleep, so I was not wearing it 24/7 like I was my One.
Very sad, I also, do not want to wear a tracker on my wrist. I like the watch I have owned for 20 years. I also, do not want to get my text messages and phones calls on my wrist.
What FItbit refuses to acknowledge is the percentage of charge or alta users that are using the third party clips. My guess is the ones who wear on a more consistent basis are using clips! The wrist billboard is not working for them like they think.
Thinking about @Shelley1225's question and looking at the rankings, I thought I go peruse other threads. Maybe being active on more than one thread would make a difference? I know, pipe dreams.
But check out this one if you have time to comment on more than one.
Please bring back the One! It was easy to clip onto a bra, was not bulky and did not show under clothes. It had more features than the Zip, and counted steps more accurately than the Charge 2. Accidentally put mine into the washing machine and now I can't find a decent replacement . . . Please bring back "The One!"
Still unsure why they will not supply a replacement for the One. I will not wear a wrist based device as I do not like that feeling on my wrist. You would think worst case they would just continue making the One as it was one of the original devices that made Fitbit what it is today.
Please create a second generation of the Fitbit One! I love the One and am not interested in a wrist tracker. The Zip does not track sleep and is larger than the One. The One is so discreet and tracks sleep, which are both important to me, and many other One lovers! Please put this in the pipeline and bring back this beloved tracker!
I really need a better clip on tracker. I had my One for 5 years before it fell off and I lost it. Have a zip now, which is so frustrating. The battery is suppose to last 6 months. Sometimes only lasts 2 weeks. I understand I can turn off all day syncing, but having it sync to my iPhone and get updates and messages is one of the appeals of having the device.i would like a device that can be charged, that clips on easily and securely and tracks stairs like the One did. Not everyone wants to wear a device on their wrist. Discrete is nice.
