I have had a One for 3 years now and love it but am a bit disappointed that some features are not available on it (e.g.. active mins per hour etc). Please can you make a new clip on fitbit with more features. I really don't want a wrist one at all.
You hit the nail on the head. Fitbit is only interested in employers getting their devices to monitor employee health and insurance companies to report health issues to keep from covering people, thus padding insurance companies pockets. All you had to do was read the new goals for Fitbit's future to figure this out.
I do not like wearing a wrist tracker and I love my one, but I dont have a good choice from fitbit now that you have discontinued the One. I do not like the flex. Please bring back the one or maybe the "Two". Thank you. I know several people with a One that are looking elsewhere besides Fitbit for their next tracker.
Many who want to track activity can’t or don’t want to wear a wrist tracker. I’ve compared both as have friends who used to use the Fitbit wrist trackers and they are consistently inaccurate with tracking when compared with the now obsolete One.
As a backpacker and hiker, having a clip tracker has been the best. I rely on my tracker to do regular checks (mileage, stairs climbed for elevation, time). The ability to track sleep has also been helpful.
Fitbit is recommending the Zip and Inspire to old One users - both are inferior products. Will Fitbit be working on updates to the One so all who want to track activity can based on individual needs?
Hi @Fstboater and @Forevero, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your posts here. I'm glad to inform you that the suggestion has already been implemented. You can learn more about our new products here: Inspire
LuciaFitbit - as you are aware all of the features of the One aren’t on the Inspire. The Inspire doesn’t track stairs, doesn’t come with a clip, and battery life is less.
I was longtime user of the Zip, which broke, and am now using an old One that may not last much longer. I have no desire to wear a tracker on my wrist. I realize both the One & Zip have been discontinued and only available through 3rd parties with ridiculous markups. The only potential replacement available now is the Inspire, but according to Support although it may be carried in a pocket without the $20 plastic clip, it will be subject to user damage which is not covered by the warranty.
Please consider making at least one "pocketable" item available for your customers.
There is a new clip style Inspire that was recently introduced. It can be worn on the wrist, but it also can be worn using an optional clip, much like the One and Zip. You might want to take a look at it. Click to see it
Thank you @Odyssey13. I am aware of the Inspire & optional clip but would prefer a tracker that can just go in my pocket. Support stated the Inspire may be used without the clip but that would increase the chance of user damage & nullify the warranty.
Hi @RJ23NY, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Released". You can learn more about here: New updated clip on tracker. Keep adding your suggestions!
I lost my Fitbit one yesterday, I’m now trying out a Bellabeat leaf that I bought on sale. I’m not sure if I will like it, If not I guess I will get the inspire. neither of them have floors which is really my only complaint. Hopefully I will still be inspired to take the stairs because it gets more steps than an elevator or escalator!
I just noticed this Future product idea has the "Released" status. This means FitBit thinks they have a product that already meets the requirements. I guess they only read the headline and haven't actually read the posts. They had a product that was very close and they killed it. Now they have substandard products and call it done. The Zip and Inspire just don't cut it. Very disappointing.
No they didn’t, so it looks like we have two choices. We can settle for the inspire or look at other products. I guess it’s time to move on and stop whining, they don’t seem to want to listen (and I know I’ve been one of the whiners! I thought they were listening and considering)
If you find something you like please post it. Thank goodness my one is still working but it is getting so I have to charge every 4 days. I really don't understand why they didn't add the flights in. The answer from Fitbit was no we aren't including it. I was extremely disappointed in that.
I agree, if you find something with the features of the One that isn’t a wrist tracker let us know! Fitbit keeps referring their long-term customers to inferior products to replace the One such as the Zip and Inspire.
@YojanaFitbit, not sure why my comment was added to this thread since I'm looking for a device that can be placed in my pocket, not one that can be clipped-on. I originally had a Zip and now a One that appears to be on its last legs. Per my original comment Support advised against carrying an Inspire in a pocket since that will likely result in user damage, which is not covered under warranty. That said the Inspire is not a solution for me.
Yes, it can go in the pocket but again, Support advises against doing so since it will increase the likelihood of user damage & cancel the warranty. Doesn't give me much confidence in the quality of the Inspire.
Well... I decided to give the Inspire HR a try. I also purchased the Inspire Clip as I can not wear wrist trackers while at work but wanted the added sleep tracking the HR offered. It has only been a few days and so far I am happy. I do miss the stairs being counted but its ok. I wore on my wrist and the clip over the weekend, steps counted were more accurate worn as a clip. Today I got the novel idea to put the inspire HR into the clip with the HR sensor facing out, I am wearing on my bra with the sensor touching my skin. IT WORKS GREAT! So now I have the HR tracking (which I didn't really care about) and able to wear as a clip. I have been paranoid about it falling out but it fits snug in the clip and is flush against the skin so there is no worry of it falling out.
