I have had a One for 3 years now and love it but am a bit disappointed that some features are not available on it (e.g.. active mins per hour etc). Please can you make a new clip on fitbit with more features. I really don't want a wrist one at all.
I too love my Fitbit One. I've had it for almost 4 years now. It is banged up and scratched but still works. I will not wear a watch so I'm hoping there will be a replacement for the One before my bites the dust. I never wear the clip and don't care about heart rate at all. I want something easy to charge and sync that also fits inside my pocket. I have really gotten involved with the challenges so I'm hoping for a workable solution. If no new non watch my Fitbit days are over. The zip is not worth it...eats batteries like crazy.
Ditto ditto ditto. I will not wear a bracelet or necklace tracker; I already have jewelry, thanks. I just want something I can clip onto my bra or waistband.
Re the comment that you can't create a clip for the other kinds of trackers, because they depend on the swinging motion of your wrist, if that's so, then why does Fitbit offer pendant necklaces for the Flex 2? There are also third-party clips available for the Flex 2, but they use a magnetic fastener, which seems like a terrible idea. I'm on my third One, and I'd prefer it if that model just remained available, but I'd be almost as happy to buy a Flex 2, if there were a One-style clip for it.
I have been using the Fitbit One for almost 4 years and love the product. It fits my needs - lightweight, accurate, track steps, and has a silent alarm. The product is ideal. Sadly, I understand that it will no longer be manufactured. This product is very useful and fits a need in the market for people who don't or can't wear something on their wrist, and do want to have a silent alarm and sleep tracking feature as well as view their step count on a display. I would like FitBit to please reconsider the discontinuation of this product. The other alternative is to have a modification to the existing products to allow for it to be fastened with a belt clip (conversion kit for FitBit Charge 2)?
If the Fitbit One is unavailable when my device dies, I will be forced to look at alternative products unfortunately. 😞
The ONE provided a uniqness that few other trackers have been able to offer. I am not a person to follow trends, which I thought FITBIT was with its obnoxiously large armbands until one of my siblings told me that FITBIT offers a discreet clip that tracked the same thing as the wristbands.
I understand keeping up with technology but I am not sure why FITBIT chose not to upgrade the ONE or even advertise it on anything but their website. It's uniqness sets it apart from all others...everyone is developing a wrist tracker from Garmin to Fossil, they all do the same thing it is just based on what you are willing to pay and your style.
But .....I have yet to find a discreet tracker that does everything that the wristies do plus the added broad based community tracking. I know that this past summer ( factory of over 1300 employees) We had the greatest time challenging each other. Unfortunately we cannot wear the wrist items that don't break away nor would I personally want to wear something pricey to be destroyed at work. Last Fall the disappointment we had with most of us not being able to sync because of the upgrade really turned alot of people off, I am pretty sure we will not gain the momentum that we had last year in challenges .By not keeping in touch with your client base , I feel like you have changed something unique into something ordinary by only offering wrist bands like every other upstart on the market today.
I agree with Zutphen.... Could someone please address our concerns? I am desperately trying to get used to my new Charge 2 but after 2 weeks I still hate it. It is not an accurate step counter which is what I am most concerned with plus it is very bulky on my tiny wrists. I am seriously considering trading my fitbit for a garmin vivofit 3 (it can be converted to a clip tracker) and its 1/2 the price!
I used to have the Fitbit One, and I loved it. It had the basic features that I was looking for (mainly step counting -- I don't need or want all the other more advanced features), and it was very convenient with a rechargeable battery that fully recharged quickly and the battery life would last impressively long, at least 10 days and sometimes longer. I also liked that it could be worn with a clip because I don't like wearing things on my wrist. Unfortunately, my Fitbit One came to an untimely demise, and when I sought to replace it, I discovered you're no longer offering it. I purchased the Flex 2. I wanted a model that was small in size, had a rechargeable battery, and could be worn in a clip holder (which I purchased separately through Amazon). I've been extremely disappointed in the Flex 2. It is very slow to charge, and the battery power lasts only 4 to 5 days. Thus, charging it is very inconvenient in that it takes a long time and it has to be done more frequently versus the old One model. I have almost all of the features turned off except for basic step counting, yet the battery life is still disappointing. As a result, I hardly ever use it. So my suggestions are: (1) Bring back the Fitbit One, and/or (2) offer a new model with similarly convenient features including being wearable with a clip, charging quickly, and with long battery life, and/or (3) improve the charging speed and battery life in other Fitbit models.
Please bring back the One! I had it for many years, and loved all the features. I don't like to wear things on my wrist and am a long distance runner. The tiny sleek design was perfect for any of my workouts as well as just clipped to a pocket for regular wear. My One died this week and I was so disappointed to find that the one is no longer offered. I will not be purchasing any of the current offered products but will see if I can get a refurbished One or mine repaired. If the one (or something similar) were offered I would buy it in a heatbeat! 🙂
Excellent idea. Can you say "Best of Both Worlds"?
I knew you could.
With the One discontinued (brain-dead move, of the highest order), and the Zip being the only other clip-on "option" (don't make me laugh, it's nothing but a semi-glorified pedometer, not even worthy of being discussed in the same post as the One, or any other Fitbit products), a clip-on accessory would be the best way to go, short of either bringing back the One, or a new-and-improved successor.
Bring back the One! Or it's truly new-and-improved successor, as long as it's a worthy successor, and not something like that semi-glorified pedometer, the Zip.
I would also love to see a replacement for the One. For extra features - maybe an audible alarm to find it when you lose it.
But definitely want one you can wear on your hip - the wrist ones are not as accurate tried one about 15 months ago - I did 6k steps even though I was driving for 7 hours. Plus I have an Apple Watch too so obviously don’t want to wear two devices.
When will Fitbit realize there are a lot of people who do not want to wear a tracking on the wrist? I have been 'stuck' with a Charge 2 because it is now the 'smallest' Fitbit tracker that includes floors--very important to me. The battery doesn't last as long as the One battery; it's ugly; its step count is definitely inaccurate (just moving my arm while sitting adds steps); it's too big for my wrist. The only clip on tracker left is no more that an expensive pedometer.
My One started having issues requiring frequent restarts and there were no more available for less than $225--a non-starter. I, and many others, wish Fitbit would rethink their move away from clip on trackers and introduce an upgraded version of the One.
Fitbit should reconsider its decision to discontinue the One. It was a great tracker for years--until it started to need frequent resets. I tried to find a replacement on line but the cheapest ones were at least $225--a non-starter.
The smallest available Fitbit that tracks floors is the Charge 2 which is: inaccurate (counts steps when I move my arm while sitting and who knows how it figures floors); ugly; too big for my wrist. The only remaining clip-on is no more than a glorified, overpriced pedometer.
I, and many others who prefer clip-ons, wish Fitbit would reconsider and develop an updated Fitbit One. We don't want or need a monster watch/computer/music player that is inaccurate at best.
I understand the complaints of some users regarding the clip for the One - although I've never experienced having it pop off I have had the small hard plastic piece break a couple of times. However, the most important thing to me right now: Please, please bring the One back or introduce a new, updated version!!! Even with its quirks the One is the best clip-on that I know of. It has a display that I can view easily at any time, it counts stairs, it's accurate and, best of all, it clips to my bra!! I hope the Fitbit company is reading these posts and is aware of the many customers out there who will purchase and continue to re-purchase this tracker.
Please introduce a new clip-on to replace the functionality of the One. I don't understand why it was discontinued in the first place. There are many, many, many people who don't want to wear a wristband for many good reasons:
Accuracy of step count
Convenience/workplace policy
Privacy
Looks
The only clip-on option is a glorified pedometer, which can be obtained for much less from other manufacturers.
You would make a lot of unhappy One customers happy if you introduced a real replacement for it.
I gave up waiting and purchased an Apple Watch. I make my clipable ouch that allows me to wear it in my pocket. The Apple Watch is way better then the Fitbit products...
