I have had a One for 3 years now and love it but am a bit disappointed that some features are not available on it (e.g.. active mins per hour etc). Please can you make a new clip on fitbit with more features. I really don't want a wrist one at all.
@h_m_w The Zip, Flex and Alta(Ace) don't have floors, but I think all the other Fitbit devices do. The Charge2 and Charge3 both have the floors feature. The Charge2 (and I assume 3, I don't have it myself) have a button on the side, which is similar to the one on the One (and Ultra) that you use to toggle through the different stats and to start/stop the timer. The Alta doesn't have a timer, and you have to tap (same as the Zip, which I find annoying and not always easy) to toggle through the stats. But the Alta/Charges have auto-recognition of sleep and exercise, which is nice 🙂 (you can always adjust time/types of exercise, if it doesn't get them right, which does happen).
Dear Moderator… Please listen to all the voices requesting a One device, a clip on that is not clunky and lacks basic features that your current “clip on” does. For pete’s sake, listen.
Amen! Quit giving us the run-around, Moderator and Powers-that-be at Fitbit. Read and reread the comments from DQD and momice and ALL of us going back some months and years. LISTEN TO US, THE CUSTOMERS, and quit avoiding giving us what we want and need. I cannot fathom why you are unwilling to do this. Although some of us do have suggestions for another thing or two to add to the one, most of us would be happy if you would just BRING BACK THE ONE! Many of us have numerous reasons for NOT EVER wearing a wrist tracker.
I wish there was a way to vote for this more than one time...I'd like to vote for just about everyone here's suggestions too. All except the Moderator who keeps thanking us for our comments but doesn't really help at all.
I decided on the Charge2 from Amazon. The reports on Amazon on the Charge3 are not so hot, and you have had good experience with the Charge 2, and a magnetic clip for it. Amazon has the iBREK Replacement Belt Clip holder for Garmin Vivofit 3. Get 3 for $10. They seem to have fairly good ratings. I assume the Vivofit 3 is what you have?
What do you do for sleep? Strap the Vivofit onto you wrist, or take the Tracker2 out of it? Looks like it would slip into my Ultra wrist band.
I use Windows 7, so I see I need to get a sync dongle to work with Windows 7. Fitbit will sell me a refurbished one for $7. They are about the same price on Amazon, but user reports say most of them are 3rd party, and don't work well.
Since you have used Fitbit since the Ultra, I have a question. I have about 6 years worth of synced data from my Ultra on the Fitbit website, and I don't want to loose it. The instructions for setting the Charge2 up for Windows 7 on the Fitbit forum talks about setting up a new account. I have written and asked how I use my current account, but no answer so far. What have you done as you replaced your Ultra with a One, etc, to keep all your data in one account?
@h_m_w Good luck with your Charge2 Harry. There actually are several improvements over the Ultra (and even the One) so hopefully you will feel it is a step up.
For setting it up - You keep all your data. Your Fitbit account never changes, but you can switch devices willy nilly, as much as you want. Just log into your account and "Set Up a Device" ... that option isn't there on the main webpage, you have to download the "fitbit connect" which launches a little extra "app" on your computer, and the option is there. Do you have a smart phone or ipad? You can also download the Fitbit app and sync that way (no dongle required), and I think the steps there are a bit simpler. Most people set up and sycn with their phones rather than their computer. I use both. I remember the Ultra had a charger/sync that plugged into your usb. The sync dongle (just a tiny piece) will make it so the device can sync wirelessly with your computer. I've got several extra dongles around and could stick one in an envelope to mail to you if you wanted...
As for sleep - I never took my One out of the clip to put it in the sleep wristband - I just clipped it to my jammies. I did the same thing with the Charge2 when I was wearing it in the clip. But you could take it out and put it in the wristband too, whichever you prefer.
The set of three clips, iBrek, is the same one I bought. It is a tight fit getting the device in, but it gets easier the more you do it.
I ordered a new Charge2 from Amazon today, along with 3 iBrek clips. Should be delivered in about a week. I never could have figured out which Fitbit bet fit my needs, what to buy to attach it to my belt, that I needed a sync dongle because Fitbit assumes everyone has Windows 10, and that I also needed to get Fitbit's 'hidden' Fitbit Connect software that is required to sync with Windows 7. I also downloaded the manual for the Charge2.
Thank you all SO much! I'll report back after I have it all set up
I have worn a Fitbit since early 2010. I am one of your most loyal customers. I do not want to wear a tracker on my wrist. I do not like the zip. Please bring back the One, or add a new similar device. I am going to have to switch to spire or missfit if you don't come out with a solution for me soon. I have an apple watch, but it is not as accurate. The reason I don't like wrist trackers is that I don't find them to be nearly as accurate. I have tested every fitbit I have used and they were all extremely accurate (except the charge, which is in a drawer). Please, please help me!

A new or redesigned One style tracker is also better for people that are unable to use a watch style tracker at work. Right now I keep my one in my pocket and it works out great for me that way.
I doubt this will do any good, but I really want the One back. I've been looking for them on eBay and they are hugely expensive since they were discontinued. The Zip doesn't do all the things the One can and I don't want to wear a bracelet model as they need a charge every few days and break easily. Also, I have an Apple Watch so two things on my wrist is not going to work. I know, I've tried it.

I would not buy a One or any of Fitbit's very old models. I'm not sure when they discontinued the One, but up until early Nov. 2018, I was still using my trust Ultra. Then Fitbit decided that they would just stop the sync feature on all Ultras! Although the rep I talked to claimed they sent me an Email saying they were stopping the service, I never received one. So my Ultra is worthless.
Based on comments and suggestions on this thread, I just bought a Charge2, and a package of 3 belt holders. It is a REALLY tight fit trying to get the Charge2 into the holder. I have already accidentally cut one of the holders trying to get the Charge2 into it.

Looking at the store, they don't make the Charge2 anymore. They do have a Charge3 but I don't see any belt holders as accessories, only wrist bands.
Well I got my Charge2 set up, with Fitbit Connect. Once you showed me how to add it to my account, it was very easy. Syncs fine with my account. But now my account shows that I have 2 Fitbits: the Charge2 and my old Ultra. The 1st day or so after I added the Charge2, there was a message that asked if I wanted to remove my Ultra from the account. I decided to back up my hard drive, first just in case some of these steps could cause a problem.
By then the message had gone away. I was able to successfully use Windows Programs & Features to remove both the Ultra program itself and the charger icon. But the Ultra still shows on my account.
Fitbit Help says to click the gear icon, then click the image of the device you want to remove, then at the bottom of the page, click the option to remove the device. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
These instructions certainly do not work with my account! When I click on the image for the Ultra I want to remove, I am taken to my Ultra settings page. There is nothing to click on, and no option at the bottom of the page. It short, this does not work.
.
Does anyone have a way to remove my old Ultra from my screen & account?

I bought my Charge2 on Amazon. I saw a lot of negative comments about the Charge3, as compared to the Charge 2.
Fitbit does not make a belt holder. All the pleas that folks have been making about that om these forums have gone on deaf ears. I followed a recommendation on one of these threads, and bought a 3pack of holders made by iBrek on Amazon. They are designed for a Garmin, but a Charge 2 (and probably a 3) will fit--although very tightly.
@h_m_w I'm still surprised Fitbit just stopped syncing the Ultra 😞 Although I'm also surprised it was still working for you after all these years (mine cracked at the top years ago and I upgraded to the One then). As far as removing it from your account, it know it's really easy via the app on a smart phone, but I'm not sure how on the website or Fitbit Connect. BUT ... it shouldn't matter at all, it won't mess anything up to still have it on there, except to be a reminder to you.
I purposely cut a couple slits into one of my Garmin holders to see if that would help getting the Charge2 in any easier. It didn't, it fact then the little flaps would fold in and it was harder. It does get easier, not sure if it stretches some as you take it in and out to charge, or if I just figured out the easiest ways (sticking fingers in the opening to enlarge it, starting from the bottom).
I wish Fitbit would make clip cases for all the devices, even the bigger ones (versa, blaze, ionic). Even if people are happy to wear a wrist model, there are times when they can't/won't ... but would wear it clipped somewhere. My son has to take his Blaze off for basketball, and he tucks it into his sock so he still gets step credit. My other boy doesn't want to wear his Flex2 on his wrist at work (he can, he works at KFC and he's just afraid the band would get too dirty) but there is a 3rd party clip made for it that he switches to. I just wish they weren't all 3rd party clips, but made by Fitbit FOR their products to support this need!
I have bought the Misfit Shine 2, it comes with a belt clip. I'd rather have a One, but since Fitbit doesn't seem to care what their customers want, I didn't have a choice. I am pretty pleased with it so far. again, not as good as the One but it will do.
I genuinely think it is wonderful of such a caring community to share all their hacks for being able to use the fitbit products as clip ons. But really, why should we have to? Any decent company would supply said clips for their own product. It's just so ridiculous that Fitbit cares less about the quality of product they offer, so much so, that other companies make better clips for all their products. Is that any way to run a business? I find this extremely frustrating....can you tell?
But once again to the people who do care, for sharing all your knowledge xx
It’s a pack of 10 and there aren’t many discreet colors, but they work really well for me.<<
Looking at the link you provided, those look exactly like the ones I purchased from iBeck, via Amazom. They appear to have the same spring clip, and even the same small 'arrow' below the opening.

I tried to stretch one, and actually tore it! Good thing I have three. I just tried some talcum powder, but the gain is small. I thihk I am going to try and punch a couple of small holes, and then cut the 'flap' out, so the hole is just a little larger. I am also looking at my Ultra clip, and if I cut part of it away, I might be able to then hold it in with a rubber band--not sure how safe that is, though.
