Option to disable 'Water lock'

Many folks are reporting that water lock comes on when not desired. I experience this multiple times a day with my brand new Inspire 2. I do not even have Swim set as an exercise and I don't need or want the water lock function. If the button issue cannot be easily fixed, a simple solution is an option in Settings to disable the function.

This was my first day with my brand new Inspire. Spent forever setting it up but, every time my Inspire is dormant for a few minutes, up comes the water lock. This has been going on for several months and I'm *so* regretting asking my daughter for it as my birthday gift. I wish I'd seen the threads here before.
Please, someone, sort it out. The only solution I've seen is to wear the watch higher up my arm. Firstly, higher up my arm isn't where a watch is worn and, secondly, it's pointless as it just drops back to my wrist thanks to gravity.

Yes, please! I would love to disable water lock. It is so annoying and is constantly popping up. While I understand the feature, it is far to sensitive.

I turned on Button Lock per the advice in another thread, but it warned me the feature reduces battery life. Doesn't the constant water lock notification I get whenever I bend my wrist equally reduce battery life?

Please disable waterlock or allow it to be deleted as a function or turn off the sensor. My alerts are meaningless since this is constantly going off. I upgraded from Alta HR and am so far disappointed in how this is working. Part of the reason I upgraded was the longer battery life, so turning on the button lock is not a good option.

Like others I just bought the inspire to replace my Alta that finally died and feel like I spend all my time making the water lock feature go away. Either fix or allow us to remove it. The suggestion to wear it higher on the arm is ridiculous. My wrist is smaller than my arm so it just slides down. Very poor design.

Please please disable the water lock feature! I had to replace my beloved Alta HR. I’m ready to chuck this Fitbit. Water lock feature is constantly buzzing anytime I move my arm. I’m now putting on button lock but it seems stupid that I’m basically shutting down functions when it’s water lock that should be able to be shut off.

Mine was a birthday gift from my daughter. I'm not going to upset her by asking her to return it. I just need Fitbit to fix their stuff.

Three months of users commenting on the annoyance of a feature that continually disrupts the normal operation of a device and still no apparent resolution.  Anything that impinges on the basic use of a device should be of upmost importance to the developers.  I have only been wearing the Inspire 2 for about half a day and have already repeatedly been stuck on the water lock screen.  How monumentally difficult is it to add an ON/OFF for this feature to the Settings list?  Explaining this might go a long way in helping to understand fitbit's lack of action on this operational issue.

I went to settings and turned on button lock. This ended the water lock issue. It also makes navigating on the watch more difficult, but it can be done. I haven’t noticed a huge difference in battery life with this on. My biggest takeaway on this product is that it has become too complex, with far too many settings on the watch itself. I used a very inexpensive tracker for the past year and it tracked my steps, heart rate, miles and sleep. I went back to fit bit for the detailed information the app provides and the ease of reading these details. The inexpensive tracker’s app was difficult to read (small print) and didn’t provide many details or options. so far I’m dissatisfied with the inspire 2. Happy to have the Fitbit app back, but the watch itself is cumbersome to use and annoying.  It's given me a reminder of why I bought a super cheap tracker last year.

Another vote to have the option to turn off the water lock feature. I just got this yesterday, and it's the only thing bothering me so far. I won't be wearing it in the water.

Please add a disable water lock option. Every time I try to use my Fitbit it is locked and sometimes hard to unlock.

Please add an option to disable water lock.  Mine activates between 10 and 15 times a day.  I will not buy another Fitbit product or renew my premium membership if simple problems like this cannot be fixed.

Same problem  and can not get to any data until it decides to turn off water lock after several pushes

I’ve had mine less than a day and I’m ready to throw it out. Get rid of the water lock notification or you will lose customers!

I see it’s not just my device.  I’m not liking my inspire 2.  This was a replacement for my inspire which died after 2 years.  I’ll never buy another Fitbit.  Apple Watch is next.

CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A FEATURE TO DISABLE THE WATER LOCK. I've only had my fitbit on for 4 hours, and it has prompted me to turn on the water lock 20 times.

Yes, please make it possible to disable Water Lock! It turns on automatically multiple times a day every day. So annoying. I have no plans to ever wear my Fitbit in the water.

As many have said, the water lock notification is very frustrating and needs an option to disable the notification.

I just received my Inspire 2 as a birthday present a week ago.  I was so excited to receive it... my first fitbit.  And now I'm ready to toss it in the trash!  This waterlock notification is driving me nuts!!  It's very annoying and disruptive to my schedule.

I've read through the other comments and agree... make this an option that can be disabled.  Please!!!

Please allow the Water Lock feature to be disabled..... I never wear mine in the shower nor when swimming. But the feature as it is now is extremely annoying.  Have upgraded (replaced) my original FitBit, but the upgrade is very disappointing.  Only had it two days and am about to get rid of it!

It's unfortunate that people have been complaining about the water lock problem as far back as 2020 and the company won't even acknowledge the numerous complaints. I'm researching other brands and hope to have this fit bit out of my life.

Please!!! This is my 4th Fitbit and I've never had a big user interface problem like this. I've had it for about 2 weeks and I'm almost ready to sell it and get a different tracker. Can't even put my hands on my hips without triggering it. Turns out I put my hands on my hips a LOT. 😞

An Option To Disable The Water Lock Feature  Is A Great Idea. For As Long As I Have Had My Inspire 2, The "Water Lock" is Always Popping Up For No Reason.. It Would Be Great To Disable This Annoying Feature. Thanks
