Options to compete against friends for steps, calories or distance

With ‘Challenges’ well and truly gone for a number of months and an increasingly disengaged customer-base - we ask that you now give us the replacement that we deserve.
As a minimum please provide real-time visibility of friends’ steps as well as options to compete against friends for:
1) steps;
2) calories burned; and
3) distance travelled.
