Permanent heart rate display during workout

As a workout enthusiast I would like to view my heart rate on my Charge HR throughout my workout without having to hit the side button.  I would like to see an option that can be set to "keep display on during workouts".

Give up on the original HR.  Fitbit has no intention of upgrading this old device.  As for  the Charge 2, you can select continuous HR display in the options menu on fitbit.com.   And by continuous, that means you still have to move your arm to turn on the display, which disappears after a few seconds.

sorry, it's not as per the word says. This feature would have made me keep it. It is now long gone. Don't mean to be a troll, just saying, I've had problems with my current watch and wanted a new feature in. I made the request, when it had enough pull (like a 12 page thread, say?), the feature got implemented.

don't get me wrong, fitbits are great.

    I'm never buying one again.

Lets face it,

Fitbit haven't got a clue what people want,

they don't bother to take on board paying customer's comments.

Most of the devices they have come up with so far have some major issue or another.

There are better alternatives out there.

I guess I meant DEFAULT display.  As far as I know, none of the fitbit screens actually stay on 24/7.    My original post long ago on this thread was trying to get the HR on the original Charge to display HR first, rather than having to tap on through the stats.  I also have a Garmin that I hate..so to each his own.  The Charge 2 is the most affordable for me and does all that I need it to.  I always carry my phone, so I use MapMyFitness to track my running.

I am wearing the charge 2 now.
Yes, the display still does not continuously displaying the heartbeat.
You still have to wait about 1 second to display it after you flick
your arm.
This is not easy when you are in the middle of a cardio exercise class
(i.e. dancing, kickboxing, etc.).
Is there a future update to allow the heart rate's display to stay on (i.e.
holding it for a few seconds to turn on or off)?

FYI:  I now have Fitbit Charge 2.  This product still does not have the continuous display.  Yes, it will consume more power.  However, I only use the continuous display during my exercise.   I used to wear the Polar (continuous display), one battery can last 5 to 6 months with two to three hours usage each time I exercised.

This is a very basic and necessary function, my 20 year old polar did this.  I missed it to my blaze sits with very little usesge to me, my workouts are all heart rate based

I'm disappointed that there is not a feature to continuously display the heart rate in real time during a workout. That was the only real feature that I was looking for. I'm not interested in tapping the Fitbit during a spinning class to get a glimpse of my heart rate. I think I'll be returning it.

Will like the option for the screen to be on during exercise.

Hi everyone, thanks for this suggestion, I realize this is a popular feature. I have grouped requests for this feature across specific devices/trackers, to preserve and streamline your votes and prior discussion. Please note that this feature, if developed, will likely not be released across our full range of devices. I will post any updates on this here. Thanks.

It is unbelievable that 5he see pricey watches do not have this very
primitive feature.

Hi everyone, thanks for participating in this discussion. This feature has been released on our newest product, Fitbit Ionic. You can select settings for exercise modes to keep your screen permanently on during exercise. If you select an exercise mode, such as run, you can tap to cycle through various screens showing different statistics, including heart rate, pace, distance, calories, steps etc. Please note that at this time there are no plans to display heart rate continually during exercise on other products. Thank you for sharing your suggestions.

Instead of having to look at the dashboard on my synced phone all the time, allow continuous tracking display on the tracker itself. While doing circuit training and trying to monitor heart for a continuous time period, it wd be much more useful and convenient to be able to see the bpm on the tracker without it going off and needing to start it again and navigate constantly.

Have the HR Inspire, which has a way-too-small screen to view HR; and the screen cannot be rotated for a 'broader' display.  Want to upgrade (purchase not exchange) the Versa or Iconic IF either of those will display HR in a large font and for longer than 20 seconds default.

Hi @kjpanThank you for sharing your Feature Suggestion with the Fitbit Community. We aren't sure for what tracker you wish to have this feature implemented. To understand this idea better. please reply with more detail or specifics on how this idea would work and on what Fitbit device.

As a side note, let us share that the Fitbit Versa 2 has the "Always-On Screen" function and there are more clock faces to choose from. For more details about this, check this help article under "Can I keep the clock display On?" We look forward to your response.
