Please add ING Bank to Fitbit Pay (The Netherlands)

Dear Fit Bit Pay responsible,

For all NL users of your Fitbit Ionic, could you please make sure only ONE bank in our country is contracted as soon as possible? Preferably this is ING Bank, the biggest one in The Netherlands with > 8 million (private) clients (= 47% of the population).

Without any Dutch bank the whole feature is useless, so please TAKE ACTION if you want to increase your customer satisfaction that is currently dropping dramatically...

Kind regards,

Maud

Fitbit Pay: binnenkort beschikbaar

Today I successfully paid with Fitbit Versa - using Rabobank debit card!

Wow, good news: finally there is progress on this topic! Congrats! Now I really hope the other Dutch banks and in particular ING Bank will follow soon.

Kind regards from Maud (who originally started this conversation April 2018).

I already used it this sathurday night! It succeded once, but it also happened to fail twice.. Don't know what the problem was, hope it will be consistent enough to leave my card at home when I go shopping.

I'll keep my wallet on my phone as a backup for a while. Been using that mostly for the past year.

For some reason I can't add my (Rabobank) card to the wallet. It tells me that my card number is invalid. Neither the IBAN code nor the number from the Rabobank app are accepted. Is there anyone who can give me a hint as to how I should enter the card number?

Have you followed these instructions? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ysMdgSUWK8

I remember that I had an error at first when I had entered the month and year in reversed order: in the Rabobank app it shows a YYYY-MM date,  but the Fitbit app requires MM/YY. Smiley Wink

Good luck!

Thanks for the tip Ronald. Although I did watch the video last week, after rewatching it I noticed that the card number screen looked very differently from what I got, and I also did not get a screen where I could enter a pin code. I originally tried configuring it via my Android smartphone (a OnePlus 5T) but by using the app on my iPad I was able to configure Fitbit Pay properly. After removing the app on my Android phone and reinstalling it it now also works correctly on my phone. Not sure what the cause was but it now works and that is most important. Thanks again for the tip!

Even in t Nederlands: (since this info is useless abroad)

Sorry, Fitbit people! I can reassure you that all the messages above in Dutch are totally happy and polite--no reason to moderate any of them. Smiley Wink

Smiley Very Happy

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this suggestion. ING Bank is being discussed so please do continue to vote for this feature suggestion whilst it’s under consideration. Please note that if something is under consideration and chosen for development, it can be a while until it's released or until I have any news to share. Please watch this space for any updates! Thanks for your patience.

We are happy to let you know that we recently added the following banks for the Netherlands to Fitbit Pay - two of the largest banks in the country:

• ABN AMRO (Maestro)

• Rabobank (Maestro)

I guess you're dutch: op onderstaande webpagina staat onderaan hoe je FitBit pay of Garmin pay kunt instellen.
