Yes, that would be more transparent and very much appreciated by all your clients. Finally almost every app manufacturer provides a brief explanation when a new app and/or firmware version is released.
How about instead of just saying "bug fixes" and "performance improvements", y'all actually, you know, fix some bugs and prioritize that over making aesthetic revamps that do nothing for usability or functionality?
I see all the time that there are "bug fixes" but I've never seen a bug get fixed. My Android app still repeatedly wipes out whatever I've typed in for a food quantity, multiple times a second, for up to a minute before it "settles down" and lets me change the quantity. It also likes to erase what I've just typed when searching for a food. It's been reported before but all we hear is "just clear data and reinstall". That hasn't fixed it.
At the very least bugs which are public knowledge should be specifically mentioned in the notes. Anything reported to support or mentioned in the boards must be affecting customers so surely if fixes are done, that information should be published.
I've only been using Fitbit for a few months but the impression I get from what I've seen on the boards is that no problems reported have every been fixed. Like many others the impression I am getting at the moment is that customer feedback is not getting through to the development team. I hope that isn't the case but surely it's in Fitbit's interest to advertise everything which has been fixed.
When setting up a new device (or when a new firmware version is released), it seems that I don't get any sort of indication that this is happening. This can lead to confusion (especially with new users) because certain functionality might be disabled (Spotify, etc.) until that update is complete.
Hi @jdhenry08, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to see more details from firmware updates. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request. A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.
I suggest Fitbit canvas error/issues/suggestions that appear in the literature and in the forums and regularly, and frequently, updates the software to address the issues involved.
