Pokemon Go Adventure Sync Support

Pokemon Go is soon to roll out a feature allowing external apps (namely Apple Health and Google Fit) to track steps and distance without needing to have the Pokemon Go app running.  It would be great if Fitbit's services could be supported as well.  As it stands, Google Fit and Apple Health do not officially work with Fitbit.

Just wanting to add further support to this topic, aside from giving it the thumbs up. If I have to wear two watches (for now) so be it, but I would love to be able to transition away from my Apple Watch and back to my Fitbit. Hopefully with enough interest all companies involved will eventually come to an agreement and we can all get what we want!

I have a Versa and would love Pokemon Go integration.

I would love this feature!

I'm not sure who has to talk to who, but if FitBit could make this happen I'd be overjoyed!

Just adding in my support and opinion.

Absolutely needed! PGo is a blast now, this integration would be amazing.

Easy way to solve this is just allowing (two-way) syncing of data between Fitbit and HealthKit or Google Fit - I'm an avid Apple user all around including Apple Pay (FitBit pay doesn't support any of my banks). Just adding that sync ability would make SO MANY **ahem** USERS HAPPY all around no matter what device they use. Adding the syncing of data will also allow syncing to PoGo (which thankfully I already get having an Apple Watch).

Come on FitBit listen to your user base here!! I already have to use IFTTT to sync my weight from FitBit over to HealthKit but can't do it the other way to send my steps over.

I tweeted Niantic Support to ask about this and Fitbit responded, told me it was under consideration and to vote and comment on this thread.

As a Pokemon Go user and longtime Fitbit user, I really hope that this is implemented as Fitbit would be much more accurate than my iPhone (when I physically have it with me.)

It’s a little unfair that this feature works for android users. Come on sort it out. I’m not allowed to carry my phone at work and clock up 10km per day.

What feature works for android users? I'm on android and the only way I can get Adventure Sync to work is if I have my phone with me. Fitbit doesn't work at all with it.

Please implement this feature fitbit! This would be wonderful for android/iPhone users if this worked natively. Instead of going through 3rd party apps which Niantic already stated 3rd party apps that help sync with Google Fit / Apple Health is not supported. As it sits right now, the only way this works is with iPhone and Apple Watch as they talked natively with Apple Health. Anything outside of those two things for Apple users it will not work that means Fitbit -> 3rd party app to sync with Apple Health-> Pokemon Go (will not work).

The same applies with Android.

When I heard about adventure sync, I was so excited for it and hoped that it would be fitbit compatible. I would love it if Adventure Sync worked with our daily fitbit stats from our wearables.

Please make this happen!

Here I was l, purchasing a Fitbit only for the sake of playing Pokémon go since adventure sync does not seem to work with my phone at all for some reason. I have voted for integration, and possibly it will come to fruition.

I would absolutely love it if this feature was implemented! Since starting Pokemon Go this year, I've already increased the amount I walk in a normal day. It would make things so much easier if all I had to do was wear my Fitbit, as I can't carry my phone around at work.

For Fitbit to be able to communicate with Pokemon Go would be amazing! I see my mom walking with her apple watch and continuously getting the 50kms reward every week. Me on the other hand, has a hard time acheiving 50kms every week since I prefer biking over walking and their distance tracker is less accurate than a Fitbit would be.

To be honest the game only allows you to go no faster then 20 miles/hr.

I assume you meant to say 20km/s. But in general when im walking around in stores or in the neighborhood its more accurate and convienient to track steps then to walk 4 min up and then 4 min back down in a straight line. Waiting for egg/buddy distance.

I have my fitbit versa and I work in a warehouse and can usually get up to 4km in about 4 hrs which is usually my shift. I usually am just walking back and worth in a small section doing my work and I can usually hatch a 2km egg while at work

I'm not gonna get hung up on who's fault it is, I just want to know what I have to do to get my fitbit to sync with the game so I can get credit for my steps.

Nothing until Niantic allows fitbit to be used like Google Fit and Apple health

It’s either ways

1- the watch can sync to the officle health app provided by the company of the phone so our data can sync with the game

2- or the fitbit app can be compatible with the game

pleeeaaseeee consider it

I know that you can get your fitbit to sync to Google Fit with an app called fit to fit but steps won't count because it's considered adding third party steps. So pretty much the only thing we can do is hope Niantic allows fitbit to be used

I would love this! Please make it happen. I love my fit bit blaze, but it’s lack of connection with my iPhone if frustrating.

This would be awesome! If I did not already own a fitbit device this implementation would definitely make me go out and buy one and I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that.

Also this would give me even more motivation to get more steps since it gamifies walking even more!

The reason why I think they don't implement pokemon go with fitbit is because any motion with your arm is considered a step regardless of if you're actually stepping or not. With Google Fit and Apple health a step is a step, not a motion

I find it sad Android users don't have a wearable option to gain steps in adventure sync. I don't always have my phone in my pocket but i always have my fitbit on.

I'm sure you would get a huge influx of new Fitbit users if this was the android wearable for this feature and not just the apple watch with an apple phone
