Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

Hi @SunsetRunner. Thanks for explaining why you'd like to have a pregnancy setting in the Female Health Tracking app! I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can check this other suggestion here. Keep adding your suggestions!

I’m actually pretty irritated with Fitbit for not including pregnancy as even an option for the women’s health section. How is pregnancy not one of the biggest things that a woman goes through? I can log a morning after pill but not pregnancy!? It needs to be added. As many before said it would be nice for it to track healthy weight gain, a better limit for daily calorie intake, and allow me to track things throughout my pregnancy - any conditions I may have, baby’s heart rate, etc.

I am not yet pregnant but have made the decision to stop taking birth control and start baby making. I went to my female health settings to remove birth control from my thingy and was shocked to see that there are no pregnancy options. I don't understand why would there be an option to check ovulation yet no option for pregnancy?   I feel like this would be a fantastic add on for the app and its insane that these comments go back to 2015 ..  the way technology works you think it would be in the app by now.
Now your customers have to download a whole other app just to have their pregnancy tracked correctly since fitbit does not have the options.
I'm not mad ...  just disappointed.

I've just noticed as I've now become pregnant that there is no option to add your pregnancy to at least stop the period and fertility functions. It would be useful to have this added and I notice it's been asked for quite a bit but nothing is on the coming up area. Thanks

I'm usually not a conspiracy theorist, but the only rational explanation I
can think of for this total disregard for women's issues is that they don't
know what impacts the fitbit/bluetooth/etc has on the fetus and don't want
to be legally culpible for encouraging pregnant women to wear one if in he
future it's determined that it's potentially harmful. (That said, I wore
my Fitbit throughout pregnancy and everything seems fine so far.)

This is so necessary! A pregnancy is part of your female health section. Agree with the comments about modifying weight gain goals during pregnancy which are heavily influenced by your BMI.

I think for as long as Fitbit has been around there should definitely be a pregnancy option.

I am hoping Fitbit could add a pregnancy option - it would be really helpful.

How is pregnancy left out of female health? I feel like that would be the time where you would want the most fitness advise for you and the health of the child. Instead it keeps telling you, you will start my period today and that you need to loose weight.

This is crazy. Without pregnancy non of us would be here! This device is to help all people of all walks of life stay fit right? What about fit mothers and healthy babies?

Glow Nurture would be a good app to look into working with on this. It's what I'm using right now, but wish I could at least link the Fitbit so I don't have to keep typing in my Fitbit info like sleep and weight.

Please help the women of Fitbit with this!

Thanks,

Idus

I definitely agree there should be a pregnancy mode of some sort. I am currently 31 weeks pregnant so it will likely not happen this pregnancy, but I do think there should be some settings available to us. If we log our weight gain, it will obviously change a lot of data within the app and look as though we are in an unhealthy range when we aren’t. Also, heart rate changes drastically during pregnancy; my resting heart rate has increased and my averages have changed my cardio fitness level by a lot, too. Just for these reasons alone, it should be able to have some sort of settings available for pregnancies.

I cannot believe this isn't already supported. I've found the period tracker really difficut to use in the first place but not being able to skip a period or log pregnancy has tipped me over the edge. This product is not fit for purpose and I am going back to previous trackers until Fitbit put some actual investment into the feature.

This is a miss. I relied on Fitbit to track my female health more  than iPeriod. Now that I’m pregnant, I’ll need to use a different app. Honestly have stopped wearing my Fitbit. It’s annoying that I can’t have accurate female health data.

I feel like this option being “under consideration” is just a cop out so it doesn’t actually have to be developed. It’s not a big deal for since I use other apps but it should just be an option here. I can see the effects it could have on women who are not trying/have miscarried but if it can be removed then it shouldn’t be an issue.

Honestly why does this even need to be voted on? Pregnancy is a BIG factor when it comes to your health and such.

Go ahead and try to argue because I literally won’t respond to you because if you disagree you need to ask yourself why women shouldn’t track health related things that are happening BECAUSE of their pregnancy. Aka types of discharge, physical feelings, of any spotting or bleeding is occurring etc. ... it would really help to be able look back at the last week or so ..to read everything over if they think someone may be wrong. It could even help someone realize what they’re experiencing is or isn’t normal

AGREE. Ridiculous they haven't implemented this yet.

This is such an important thing! A large part of why I got a fitbit is that it had a female health tracking section, but it really needs an update.

1. Pregnancy section - beginning and end dates

2. More symptoms for PMS, period & ovulation

3. Ability to add/edit ovulation information

Fitbit needs a pregnancy setting so the app put stuff on hold like; period, weight goal, resting heart rate/cardio fitness level. If it could at least put them on hold until you turn them back on it would be great. It would be even better if it modified those features to accommodate/track the pregnancy.

This has been mentioned before (2 years ago) and clearly needs to be mentioned again. In female health tracking, please add a feature to log a pregnancy. It doesn't need to give any additional info other than "pregnancy" and then count for 40 weeks or so. It is ridiculous that I've had to turn off female health tracking so that it would shut up about logging a period that is now over 200 days overdue... Because I'm freaking pregnant.

Hi @Kay1a. Thanks for explaining why you'd like to have the option to log a pregnancy period with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. This will help us to keep the forums organized and make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote. Don't forget to add your vote to show your support. It would be awesome to be able to add when you are pregnant and track with the female health section of fitbit
