Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

Hi @Breeza93, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to add pregnancy to the Fitbit settings. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can learn more about it here. Keep adding these suggestions.

How long does this need to be under consideration before it's added? In the
meantime can we get the option to turn off the period prediction please.

Why does this even need to be voted on? Are you kidding? Leaving this feature as "under consideration" instead of making it a reality is going to lose customers. I have loved my fitbit for years but will give it and all future products up in favor of one that actually cares about women and the female health features offered.

Why are we seriously still having to comment on this? This thread was started nearly two YEARS ago...and who knows how long before that since people had made comments elsewhere and they've been moved to this thread...

I commented on this nearly a year ago when I was pregnant looking for a way to track things, and other than notification emails that other people have the same thoughts, we don't get anything more than this is "under consideration."

This is completely ridiculous. DO SOMETHING Fitbit, or at the very least, give us an ACTUAL update...or my next wellness/activity watch will not be with your company.

It would be wonderful to add a pregnancy to the app. Not for updates and pregnancy tracking; but for health recommendations like walking and water. Also for entering weight gain. I’m sure there are a lot of other reasons too!!

the app could really use an option for

1. positive pregnancy test

2. miscarriage

3. birth

please let me know if this is already done, I cant seem to find the option. I can see positive ovulation test which I personally find to be strange if there is no where to put positive pregnancy test.

Knowing that you can log ovulation tests, I went to log my recent positive pregnancy test assuming that would get the period prediction notifications to go away for a while. Absolutely floored that there's not already an option to record pregnancy. Ability to record morning after pill and ovulation tests but not pregnancy seems absurd.

The only test feature is for ovulation. There should be a pregnancy test one as well. And if it is a positive test then maybe stop the period/ovulation prediction tracker but still be able to record other female health data.

It has been two years now since I posted my first comment on this thread and I have gotten hundreds of updates in the meantime. I first commented on this feature when it was first released and I was newly pregnant with my first child in May of 2018. I now have a 15-month-old and am newly pregnant with my second child, and this issue still has not been addressed. I find it incredibly frustrating and disrespectful that FitBit has not yet addressed this issue, despite 814 comments clearly indicating interest and frustration.

  • How long is this going to be under consideration? I first posed this question 5 years ago when I was pregnant and yet nothing has been done yet???? Does Fitbit even care? What the heck. I mean really let someone create an app that goes with the Fitbit so people can use it and be done with it. This is ridiculous.

Hello! I'm your customer since 2013, and I'm on my 3rd pregnancy since. I like to maintain healthy habits throughout the pregnancies, and I believe that it would help if there was a special feature, where we could introduce the pregnancy data (for example, the weeks) and the system would automatically calculate the BMR and the calories needed.

I use the Flo App for women health tracking which already has the ability to track for pregnancy,  normal and abnormal cycles (women with PCOS), diet/water, and built in customization of fertility tracking. The Fitbit women's health features would greatly improve with the ability to track pregnancy,  add breastfeeding to sleep tracking, and/or allow customers to use apps like Flo on Versa to track a much wider range of information.  Thanks!

I use Android. Is there a similar app for this OP system?

Thanks!

I'll add one more comment to the currently 33 pages of comments asking for something as simple as "hey, I'm pregnant, please stop predicting periods and use a smart algorithm to resume predicting them after 9 months based on when I say that I have my first, post pregnancy period."  This is marvelously simple. Yes, there are many requests for complex additions, such as pregnancy specific weight health, breadfeeding calorie calculations, and other options. We, your community are willing to take small things in steps. We are ok if you start simply with the ability for the calendar to recognize that we are pregnant.

Given how many of your customers, for both devices and premium app use, are women, and how many women are/are becoming mothers, this feature seems like a really easy PR win.

I have to agree that in the long run, when this fitbit watch dies, I will consider other trackers that work with much more comprehensive apps. I really like the simplicity of fitbit, and want only the most basic addition to the women's health calendar to keep me happy.

How do we have handfuls of birth control options listed but no pregnacy settings?  This is long overdue.  Are there no women involved in the dev planning?  This is a gross oversight in the development of the female health settings.
