Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

My suggestion has two layers (in the female health tracking):
1. Allow users to "pause" or "ignore" a cycle.
2. Have an option for pregnancy (either pausing period dates for 9 months (Yeesh) or changing the type of information tracked. It would be cool to see small notes at "special" times for each trimester, like the size of the baby).

Hi @Meeshmeesh1, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to see pregnancy mode on the Fitbit app. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can also vote for this other suggestion: Options for irregular, heavy or no menstrual cycle. You can learn more about it here. I hope to see you around.

I am pregnant and would also like to see a pregnancy option on Fitbit!  It is frustrating to log my weight and have the App tell me I am farther and farther away from my weight loss goal.  I would also be nice to have calories adjusted during pregnancy and while breastfeeding, which is what Weight Watchers allows you to do.

I'm having trouble getting enough calories (with balance with exercise), and was hoping to use Fitbit to help me know how much I need and track that I'm getting it (and how). No such luck...without a pregnancy option I'm left with the crude "just add 500 calories" method, and once I'm breastfeeding it won't help me with that, either. 34 pages of comments asking for this, over the course of 6 years...I understand it's complicated, but Fitbit is kind of useless to me for the next 2 years without accounting for what has become a huge influence on my activity level, diet, and sleep (the reasons why I got my first Fitbit back in 2013). I'm glad to see that this option is back "under consideration," and very much hope it will move forward.

The first vote for this idea was back in 2014.. I'm new to Fitbit (Versa 2) and this, along with other device issues, is turning me off of using the app..

It's disappointing to see that the option is still not available.

Similar to the flow app, select that you are pregnant and still be able to list symptoms (nausea, mood swings, headaches) etc and include an allowance for weight gain and resting heart rate etc as they can't be helped

How is it that this has been an ongoing topic for at least six years, if not more, and Fitbit still doesn't have a way to log that one is currently pregnant!? I just got a new Fitbit Charge 4 today and am 32 weeks pregnant. Really disappointed that I can't account for that in any of my statistics.

Add pregnancy and breastfeeding to the female health tracking portion of the app.

The body burns about 20 calories for each ounce of breastmilk

For some strange reason under birth control of the female health settings you can select breastfeeding but there still is no option for pregnant. Hopefully they’re working on this since it affects a woman’s data.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate you acting on my suggestion. I know
I'm not the only one who would love to have a feature like this as I'm in
many groups online where we discuss how to account for the many extra
calories we're burning. Thanks again!!

I created a custom activity for pumping and log 20 calories burned per ounce pumped to keep track of it that way but since I also nurse, I don't know how many calories that should be. If I had an expensive baby scale to take weighted feeds I could tell, but a hungry baby isn't going to tolerate being weighed every single time she eats.

Good Afternoon,
I think it should be possible to mark yourself as pregnant in the app. This would not only help with cycle tracking in the female health portion, but could also be utilized to track resting heart rate, cardiovascular score, and weight gain.

When nursing a new child, calorie burn increases by approximately 550 calories per day. Currently FitBit does not have a way to calculate this for mothers, making the data inaccurate on a daily basis. Help other mothers get an accurate view of all the work their doing and the positive impact on their own health!

Hi @WowMom2, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to see "Pregnancy" on the Female Health tile. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.

It's funny! I'm 22 weeks pregnant, so I think this will not be a reality
until the birth of my daughter, which is unfortunately. This is my 3rd (and
last) pregnancy. It's pointless, since so many requests have been made and
for so many years now.
I'm not pleased with the way Fitbit has conducted this matter!!! Maybe you
only want men as customers!

It is strange, because the heartbeat and sleep is so different than usual, so it should be something they should put on their prioritylist!!
