Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

Sort of bummed when I went to go use the “Female Health Tracking” and found 0 pregnancy options.

Need to make it so you can log your own period not just what the predictions are, need to be able to input pregnancy, need more symptoms to chose, as well as breastfeeding options as well so caloric and h20 intake suggestions can change to what’s needed.

I also think they need to add a way to put your pregnant, track pregnancy and even breastfeeding

I second this idea! Also update it to include adjusting calories needed and burned to include the stress of the pregnancy

I would love to be able to use FitBit's menstrual cycle estimator but if you have no pregnancy mode and backlog your cycles, it extends your estimated cycles to ridiculous lengths (40 days, anyone??). Women get pregnant, FitBit. Let's accept that and make a mode for it, please.

Make a setting for pregnant women. Show how much sleep, exercise, resting heart rate, etc instead of comparing to a non pregnant person.

I was so excited to see the female health tile but considering Im pregnant wish there was a way to add that in the settings. Being pregnant affects a lot and wish this would be an option. I had used other fertility apps so dont see the need for that but would love to plug in pregnancy in order to change calorie intake, weight loss/gain, and even maybe a prenatal workout section. I struggled to find anything in fitbit or fitbit coaches video to focus on working out safely while pregnant and there is a huge group for support so know we would love to still use the Fitbit and not like its only a week or 2 but a lengthy period of time that its going to change our workouts and behaviors.

I can’t believe nothing has been done or said about this yet. I, too, was excited when I saw the option for tracking female health, only to find that I can’t input my current pregnancy. I agree with everyone else, this is not a “great feature to add” this is a huge hole and a bug to have not included it in the first place, as the point of tracking fertility does inevitably lead to pregnancy.

I’ve been using “P Tracker” for the last several years, and it not only tracks cycles, it also has a TTC mode as well as a pregnancy mode - all of which do exactly what the others have mentioned on here: tracking basal temp, setting luteal phase, adding ovulation test result, etc. For ideas on how to FIX this huge bug, please check out the app I listed as it includes all of the features that really should have been included in this update in the first place

I just don’t understand how they have missed pregnancy - they have unprotected sex listed but didn’t think that it would lead to pregnancy. Also no option for contraceptives that also alter your cycle. As it currently stands this this feature is no use what so ever.

Hi, I have been updating my female health through the tracker and it has been so helpful tracking my cycle, I recently found out that I am pregnant  and I find it odd that there is no update for pregnancy as an option. There is so many details to log except for pregnancy. Will these be an update to include this as a feature?

I'm glad that this is already a topic of discussion. It seemed so weird to me that Fitbit would introduce a Female Health Tracking app without a pregnancy mode by default! I recently found out I was pregnant, so I'm now having to use my old Period Tracker app in conjunction with the Fitbit. Please make this happen!

Please add a setting for pregnant and nursing women. It's crazy that this isn't an option - this affects everything from calories burned to healthy weight gain.

I only purchased the FitBit Versa to help with my health during pregnancy so finding out that the Female Health tile only helps with menstrual cycles & ovulation is very frustrating and disappointing.  I really hope FitBit adds pregnancy & breast feeding settings soon, otherwise I'll probably return this device.  It was over $250.  The Ava device was the same price (only tracks while sleeping though).

Honestly I fail to understand why "female health tracking" was implemented without the option to track pregnancy in the first place. Seems like a pretty big oversight to make the feature unusable to pregnant ladies.

A nice addition to tracking pregnancy would be calories adjusting depending on what trimester you're in and if you're breastfeeding.

I love the female health tile. However, I would love to see an option to change your status to pregnant. Even if it didn't get super detailed, it would be nice to log 😊

I agree!!!  I just found out I’m pregnant and my only real clue was my heart rate just shot up and stayed high (and my cardio fitness dropped).  I also can’t seem to adjust the cycle tracking to mark pregnancy so I took it off.

You need to introduce breastfeeding as a calorie burning activity.

Im nursing my baby 9-12 times a day and there’s no way of recording this. Likely around 500 extra calories burned.

Consider syncing with baby nursing app and others.

it would also be helpful to have a pregnancy and post partum mode.

It would be great to add a “I’m pregnant” option to help track fitness during pregnancy. So disappointed this isn’t an option. It’s the whole reason why I even bought a Fitbit. I wanted to be able to safely track my workouts and overall health with this. What a bummer.

Has there been any mention from the admins or the mods regarding whether they intend to fix this yet? It has been MONTHS already since the new “feature” was suggested, and the only thing I’ve seen is other dissatisfied Fitbit users saying they want to see it changed as well

I wanted to first say how I love the new period tracker feature in the Fitbit app but wanted to send a suggestion to add to the list of "other events" since morning after pill is the only option loaded. I would love to see options like pregnant and miscarriage added to "other events".

I've been using this function of the app and was recently pregnant,  there was no option to add that. I also had a miscarriage and  am not able to document that. It's hard to have this track my cycle when it's missing important things to document like these.

Hi there! I would like to suggest that in the female health tracker app to also have an option to go into a "pregnancy mode". That could allow for the app to stop reporting upcoming or missed menstrual cycles. Then it could maybe link us to the pregnancy forums too, which you guys already have available anyway! Eventually you could even have an app catered to female pregnancy health and exercise! But I won't rush you guys into that, for right now a simple pregnancy mode in the menstrual cycle tracker would be super helpful! Thanks in advanced!
